This was our second time eating at Juniper. It is our favorite brunch spot in Banff and we will be returning as often as we can. Everything is so delicious and the prices are great!
Best food we had on our trip! Amazing value! Recommending The Juniper Bistro to ALL my friends who visit Banff!
Great menu selection, delicious food, reasonable price, excellent service! The view is spectacular! It was our first time to eat at the Juniper Bistro, and Im not sure why we have not visited in the past!
Food is always great and the views of the mountains are unmatched.
By far the best Breakfast in the Bow Valley. I hesitated to review it because part of its quality is the lack of people but I want to support this restaurant so hence the review. Great for brunch. Haven’t tried lunch or dinner yet but will for sure. Service is above and beyond, friendly, thoughtful but not intrusive. The food is awesome, my husband loves the “bunny Bennie” and their Salmon Bennie is my fav. You can’t go wrong with anything from the menu. Just great all a around.
Best eggs benny I’ve ever had. Such tasty food with amazing local ingredients. Snowy day but beautiful views
Delicious food, highly recommended. Desserts could be a bit more inspiring.
Lovely gem just outside of Banff. Very gourmet cuisine at a decent price. Get there before sun sets to enjoy the Mountain View. Fried banana desert was awesome.
Tasty brunch with stunning views of the mountains surrounding Banff. Recommended and worth travelling outside the hustle and bustle of Banff town centre for a quieter setting.
One of the best meals I have ever had. I can’t wait to return and try more of their dishes.
The food here is very well prepared and the ambiance is very cozy and laid back. It is located just outside of Banff, which is a real positive as it is quiet and the view from your table is amazing. We'll be back for sure.
Even though we live in Calgary for some reason we did not this hotel existed. We had company from Texas and we were hoping the restaurant would live up to the reviews. We were met by a stunning view of the mountains. We had the charcuterie board which everyone loved and there was more than we could finish. Several of us had the wild boar it was outstanding my wife had the cauliflower cashew bowl which she said was great we would definitely take guests there again.
Best parts of the experience were the service and the view. Food was very good, but a bit pricey for what I got. But, I would go back for special occasions.
The food was amazing , well balanced , fresh and creative . Ben was great . Dimmer lights would have made the atmosphere perfect .
Sadly the food was quite bland and our server kept disappearing and wasn’t overly helpful. Very surprised considering all the positive reviews of this place.
The Juniper Bistro is a quiet restaurant. The food was delicious. A little pricey but worth it.
This was a pleasant surprise! Some of the best food we have had in a long time.
Food was good (shakshuka and french toast). Thank you.
The view was limited due to the weather condition, but if you have a window seating it is a place worth of spending there some of your time.
A bit messy place but still quite cozy and informal.
The service was very kind and reasonably fast.
The excellent food, amazing view and attentive service is well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive for lunch!
Great great brunch with awesome view over valley of mountains and chateau Fairmont. Large windows to take in the view from most tables.
Our waitress had great suggestions for the menu and local hikes. Salmon eggs Benedict and steak sandwich were delicious.
Only suggestion is new coffee mugs for espresso drinks- small ones were a disappointment. For latte drinks one size does not fit all
Excellent food and very good service with a fantastic view for a background. We’ll go there more often.
This little gem was a real surprise. The food was innovative and very good. Pricing was excellent for Banff. Only critique was that some of the salads were under dressed a bit (better that than over dressed mind you). We will go back!
Food was great, service was excellent. The restaurant could use some repairs and maintenance. Our table kept tipping at the table base, I had to keep my foot on it to stop our drinks from spilling. We sat by the windows and it could use a good cleaning along the window sill.
Our absolute favorite breakfast place in the Banff/Canmore area!
Amazing as always. The service we received from Steve was exquisite, as was the food itself.
The views are incredible but we expected a lot more from the food and service. We came during a quiet time and found that we were not asked if we needed more water, how our food or drinks tasted, etc.
I would come back again in the summer and just have a drink in the early evening to enjoy the scenery.
Wanted a family friendly breakfast option for Banff and the Juniper Bistro did not disappoint. Excellent service, top notch cuisine make for relative value in a location like Banff; especially when a breakfast buffet at the big hotel would have set us back 2.5 times the price. The Salmon Benedict was perfect. Would recommend and return as this is a gem that due to its location away from downtown likely doesn’t get the love or respect it deserves.
food was good, small portions for the extremely high price.
Amazing service, staffs are very friendly! The food was outstanding!
The only issue was their 10% discount card. If you book direct with the hotel, they give you a 10% discount on the meals at the Bistro. Our supper was over $100 and breakfast was $35.
We thought we would use it at breakfast and present both receipts. The young lady said this happens all the time and they closed out their books the night before. We got a $3.50 discount.
It's not a big deal money-wise, just a stupid policy. Something needs to be written on the card that it only applies to one meal. Food is awesome then they pulled this stunt.
Hello, Thank you for choosing to stay at The Juniper Hotel & dine with us in the Bistro. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed the food, and we appreciate your feedback. I just wanted to clarify that hotel guests are able to use the 10% off In-House Direct Discount card as many time as they like during their stay, but they need to present the voucher at the time of payment (or before) to have the discount applied to that specific bill. Warm regards, Annie Clark Banquet Manager
Nice place but service was just Ok. Deserts were not the best but entrees solid.
Beautiful view to enjoy breakfast. I had the rabbit eggs benny and found the rabbit quite bland, however my wife enjoyed it.
The staff there were great and attentive.
Would definitely go again for the view and try other things on the menu.
Excellent food and service. We went in a Saturday night. The restaurant was a few minutes out of town by taxi so was as busy or noisy as some of the downtown Banff restaurants are on a Saturday. Very pleasant after a long day in the slope. Attentive staff, great salmon.
Great service, tasty cocktails and meals!!!! We will be back and will book a stay next time. Need to check out the view at brunch next time.
First time we have been there in many years. It has changed and we had a great experience. Food was very good and the service from Brian was top notch. Thank you. Already recommended to friends.
Isabelle & Michaela took great care of us !
Breakfast outstanding as usual.
We will be back soon !
A little disappointing, we started with wild B. C mushrooms which was fantastic but probably the only dish of the night that was above avarage, We also shared a plate of chicken liver pate, the pate itself was fine, but it come accompanied with a couple slices of what looked and tasted like "wonderbread", should have come with "crostini's or some other hard crusty bread.. It just didn't go well. I had an entrée of wild boar on bourbon apple sauce, the pork was cold and tough. My wife had the tenderloin that she had a hell of a time trying to cut through the sinew, it wasn't outstanding by anymeans.. Truthfully I'd give the food a 6/10..try another place
The atmosphere and service was excellent. The food was OK. We would go back and try other dishes.
Excellent place for lunch or dinner. Food is always great. View is also amazing. No need to fight for a parking space as it is outside of the downtown core.
Excellent and creative cuisine. All ingredients are fresh and in season - outstanding!
