Fantastic view, nice ambiance, attentive service, inspired menu, especially with veggie and GF. A bit pricy on some items. Loved the beet gnocchi and Juniper sage tea at dinner and the granola with grilled grapefruit at breakfast.

We got the stuffed French toast and salmon benny. Both were SO GOOD. Food is not cheap but you do pay for the views. Service was great. Will definitely be back.

The food was above average and the service was very attentive. The building and the patio are fairly dated and could use some upgrades. I would go back again though.

Great restaurant with imaginative local ingredients (the wild mushrooms with berries were to die for). Service was great and wine list was a fine collection of Canadian wines. G-free and dairy free gourmets- and anyone else-- should love the food and wine here. Oh, and the views doin't disappoint either.

Do not eat here under any cercumstances. Had a table for 6 and meal took over 1.5 hours from ordering to get to the table. Portions were very small and overpriced (~$40 per entre). Left feeling hungry and dissatisfied. Asked for seat with view did not get one despite many empty tables. Do not eat here. Other restaurants have better value and service. I made the reservation and left apologizing to my friends and family. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

What a great meal! My husband and I dined in the patio and enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains. I had the roasted beets with goat cheese, it was one of the best meals I can remember! Food was perfectly prepared, interesting flavors, and spot-on service. Hubby had the halibut with sun chokes and enjoyed it! We savored the amazing mushrooms as an appetizer. Highly recommend Juniper!!

Really good ambiance, friendly, knowledgeable server.

I quite enjoyed the heirloom tomatoes and sea bass.

Ordered the scallop, was delicious, but could have put a couple on the plate for the price point!

Overall a great experience.

The evening was spoilt by the noise of a fridge in the bar, the rudeness of the manager and the food. A,though the meat was excellent the steak was not cooked medium as requested. Most if the vegetables were undercooked. The lemon tart base was burnt.

About an hour before our reserved time, I needed to change our original reservation that I booked through Open Table so I phoned and spoke to a gentleman named Matthew. I needed to change the time of the reservation (as we were running late) and the number of people (another couple decided to join us last minute). This was a dinner for my husband's 60th birthday so I wanted it to be a nice evening. Matthew was extremely accommodating. He was able to move our reservation to a later time and to allow for the larger number of people. Once we arrived, it was Matthew who was our waiter and he was excellent! We couldn't decide about eating on the patio or not and he was of the opinion that it may be too chilly and that we would be bothered by the mosquitos. However, the birthday boy wanted to see for himself so by Matthew's suggestion we had our drinks and appetizers on the outside patio and then he moved us back inside to our table for the entree. So nice that he held our table inside while we socialized on the patio before dinner. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our birthday celebration at the Juniper Bistro. We will be back!

Unique menu using all locally sourced ingredients. We had the wild boar, the scallops, the Gnocchi and a very good cheesecake dessert. Unfortunately the espresso machine was down that night. Will, our server was excellent. The view was amazing - well worth the drive from our hotel - the Fairmont Banff Springs.

So glad we made a reservation! They seemed to be pretty short staffed (which I gather happens often as it does everywhere in Banff) and had to start turning people away so that the kitchen didn’t get too overwhelmed. Seated inside while waiting for the patio and started with a few Caesar’s (get them - the bacon garnish is fantastic!). Server was running around like a maniac but always seemed to know when we needed a refill. Was also warned when we sat down that food was about a 40min wait (it was less than that though). The food is worth the wait as is the view! Driving by for 10years and never stopped in. Now I will (Also saw a few people march off in anger as they didn’t ‘wait to be seated’ and tried to make a mad rush for the patio. This isn’t a place to be pushy). Enjoy the food and prepare to stay for a bit.
