Highly disappointed. For a 2 star Michelin this was a huge disappointment. Service good but not great. Food was more European than Korean. Too much food, too big portions, very basic flavours and lacking creativity. Started well with the pre appetizers but it was downhill from there. Frankly I cannot understand why this place gets any stars, never mind 2. Price was astronomical considering the poor experience.
Always the best food tbh thanks
They got Specials for anniversary!! Super thoughtful and amazing service
emmm… some courses too salty，some courses too much oil. not satisfied with desserts because I do not eat chocolate，they use different sobets to instead of their signiture desserts for me. All my remember of this restaurant is full of sobets right now… 💀
We had an amazing evening with Oscar as our server! He remembered our preferences without having to be reminded. I had been coming less frequently because I like to get what I like without having to get a pre-set menu but Oscar made it right and we had a lovely time. Will be back more often.
Presentation is amazing as usual! The general manager was very accommodating. We will be back again! Thank you
The food are not as good as expected. The whole tasting menu is a bit hard to finish cause it's too greasy. The beef is fishy and the desserts are a bit too much. The service and environment are excellent. The waiter was attentive and remembered clearly my preference. Highly recommend for special occasions--when foods are not that important.
As always, made to feel like royalty.....
Excellent service. Very corteous restaurant. Wagyu broth was my favorite.
Phenomenal Restaurant in NYC!! I have been at the best restaurants in the City and beyond and I am definitely a newcomer to Korean Cuisine. This place in my opinion should go straight to Michelin's three star status. Rarely, I have been impressed like this place did. I had the signature tasting menu which is expensive but worth every penny. Dishes are a home run after the other including the best black cod and octopus that I have ever tasted. Service here is second none and the premium wine pairing cannot be beat anywhere. Do not hesitate for a minute about this place. Please go, you will be glad you did! If you like great food, you must give it a try.
George was a fantastic server. Perfect combination of professionalism and personality. Really made us feel relaxed and at home.
Haksoo was also fantastic! He made the wine list so approachable and really understood what we were looking for as far as taste and price point. Perfect.
Friendly and efficient staff. A real pleasure
Completely blown away by the food, desserts and the service. One of the courses I did not enjoy, and they asked if I would like to try something else in place of that. I kindly declined they brought me drinks on the house! I have to say the service here beats the service in Per Se. the staff was extremely friendly and at tentative. Amazing experience!
Possibly the best meal I have ever eaten.
excellent tasting menu and wine pairing! will come back again!
Thought the atmosphere and presentation were a bit pretentious. Extremely pricey. The waiter had an air about him which was condescending. The food was very good . The wines were unaffordable.
Very very solid. Amuse bouche was some of the best, even better than some of the three starred establishments. Every dish was very well executed. The little hints of Korean influence in every course plays very well with overall experience.
This is the best two-Michelin star restaurant in the US that I've been to (have been to 3 others) and I think it gets lost in the wide array of fine dining experiences in the city. Highly recommend.
Very enjoyable - service was good (just one issue w/preference no red meat — only cooked fish — and I was brought Wagu Beef at the same time as my date. As they worked to resolve the mix up — my dates Wagu Beef got cold)
With all of the attention to detail — both the menu misstep and awkward resolution — A restraint at this level just needs to be much better.
This place is absolutely heaven and Angels are all around the room. Beside the magnificent service from the very skilled staff, the Matre’d Jackleen was extremely professional and very accurate and precise on the description of wine and food!!
She really made the experience top notch!!!
Good but Tasting menu was too much
Great service! Amazing food! Nice vibe! Will come again!
A gem, terrific food, flawless service, very competent sommelier, respectable wine list
The food was simply divine. We were delighted we made the journey from
Midtown despite jet leg. Staff was attentive without being overbearing - allround a very special evening that will be remembered as a highlight of our NY trip.
It was the second time that I eat at Jungsik and it was as exceptional as the first time. Highly recommended though not cheap. Fantastic food is not cheap.
It’s one of New York’s best! Amazing food and incredible service.
Tried the dessert tasting menu and it was amazing! There were 5 courses in total, starting from light to bold. You also have the option of adding the truffle cone as the sixth course at a supplementary cost. The desserts featured various ingredients sourced locally and aboard, incorporating both modern innovations and traditional flavours from Korea. The flavours were well balanced, yet unexpected. The cone is an absolute must-try if you want to taste something rich and unique!
This experience is highly recommended.
It is pretty good restaurant for dating
One of the most amazing culinary experiences I’ve ever had. We had the tasting menu and the food blew me away and each course got better and better. Fantastic service and ambiance. Wine list and cocktails were great. Had the best Old Fashioned ever! Would seriously recommend!
Great food, Good service, nice environment. A good dining experience overall. Beyond my expectations!
Birthday party! Awesome
It was for a birthday
Everybody was nice
It just so good. totally change my impression of Korean food.
It's perfect. The food and service are so good!
amazing food and service. most memorable dining experience.
The tasting menu (winter) was a fabulous fusion of flavors. Korean inspired but rooted in continental cunning. Plating and presentation, from the amuse bouche on, was on the level of the finest kaiseki menus. Everything you would expect from a Michelin starred place, with prices that might exceed expectations. Still, if you're seeking subtle tastes of kimchi, uni, caviar, exquisitely grilled octopus, enhancing perfectly prepared cod and beef, this is a great choice for any special occasion.
The dessert tasting menu was fantastic and very filling! Our servers were very nice and knowledgeable about the food. I would come back when the dessert menu changes!
Simply one of the best dining experiences I have had in New York in the last 5 years. The food is exquisite, delicious and presented beautifully. Excellent wine list and impeccable service. 3 Michelin stars in my book.
Christmas pre-set dinner was good and delicious as always. Food was served a bit too fast (my own preference) but everything else was excellent. A must visit place.
Fantastic experience. Definitely one of the best fine dining experiences in NYC.
