JUNGSIK Ratings and Reviews
Very enjoyable - service was good (just one issue w/preference no red meat — only cooked fish — and I was brought Wagu Beef at the same time as my date. As they worked to resolve the mix up — my dates Wagu Beef got cold)
With all of the attention to detail — both the menu misstep and awkward resolution — A restraint at this level just needs to be much better.
This place is absolutely heaven and Angels are all around the room. Beside the magnificent service from the very skilled staff, the Matre’d Jackleen was extremely professional and very accurate and precise on the description of wine and food!!
She really made the experience top notch!!!
Tried the dessert tasting menu and it was amazing! There were 5 courses in total, starting from light to bold. You also have the option of adding the truffle cone as the sixth course at a supplementary cost. The desserts featured various ingredients sourced locally and aboard, incorporating both modern innovations and traditional flavours from Korea. The flavours were well balanced, yet unexpected. The cone is an absolute must-try if you want to taste something rich and unique!
This experience is highly recommended.
One of the most amazing culinary experiences I’ve ever had. We had the tasting menu and the food blew me away and each course got better and better. Fantastic service and ambiance. Wine list and cocktails were great. Had the best Old Fashioned ever! Would seriously recommend!
The tasting menu (winter) was a fabulous fusion of flavors. Korean inspired but rooted in continental cunning. Plating and presentation, from the amuse bouche on, was on the level of the finest kaiseki menus. Everything you would expect from a Michelin starred place, with prices that might exceed expectations. Still, if you're seeking subtle tastes of kimchi, uni, caviar, exquisitely grilled octopus, enhancing perfectly prepared cod and beef, this is a great choice for any special occasion.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted excellent. The service was excellent, and as it was in celebration of a birthday, there were lovely personal touches such as a decorated extra dessert plate and menu. One drawback was that the meal was more expensive that we anticipated based on the online menu. The wine options were fairly expensive, even for a half-bottle. In addition to the seasonal tasting menu, we ordered the Gujeolpan as it was recommended. While it was good, we didn't think it worth the extra expense and would have been well-satisfied without it. The only other quibble is that some of the tables are placed quite close together, diminishing privacy.
We were late for the dinner and the restaurant asked us to wait for 20mins. I have told the restaurant that it was my sister’s birthday and gave my cake to them but I think they almost forgot to bring to us until I reminded them and there were no gifts for birthday!
We had the Signature Tasting menu. It was a memorable experience with excellent service, carefully catered meal with a lot of creativity. my Husband’s favourite dish was Caviar with blue fin tuna. I loved the baby banana and roasted chestnut dessert items. Highly recommended, great service and value.
