I really enjoyed my experience here. They started with a wonderful presentation of their amuse bouche. Then we continued with their seasonal menu they adjusted at our request to add an additional course, octopus, which was cooked perfectly. They also adjusted the desert course allowing us to try 3 different but equally delicious deserts. All around it was a great experience. They also had great mocktails for non-drinkers.
Fabulous meal and service.
I took my husband here for his 35th birthday, and we were not disappointed! This lovely, sleek gem of a restaurant delighted us in pretty much every way. We both ordered the signature tasting menu, with the supplement, which I highly recommend! Each dish was more amazing than the last, and by the time it was over, we each felt like we had just had one of the best meals of our lives. My husband got the wine pairings, while I opted just to order by the glass-- but either way, the pairings/recommendations were on point, and enhanced each round. It's certainly expensive, but it's very much worth it. Also--special shout out to every single server, but especially our main one, Oscar, who was, in a word, sparkling! He was friendly, knowledgeable, charming, and made our night extra special. We'll definitely be going back!
Excellent food and service. Definitely worthy of two stars from Michelin.
Excellent, as always! Favorites are uni, octopus and tuna. Bourbon cocktail is wonderful. Not wowed by the duck. Really wish you had more choice with respect to courses. Oscar is the best!
Expensive, but very refined and unique. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!
One of my best experiences in NY !!!
Food was remarkable, Service was as good as it gets. Oliver was our waiter and was one of the best in the world. Wine pairings were on point and the pace of the tasting was excellent.
Highlights were The Octopus and the Wagyu.
Basically good, better than per se. but a little bit noisy
Fantastic food. Wonderful staff, very friendly and attentive. Best meal of my life.
Amazing! Worth all the Michelin stars it has. However, don't expect traditional Korean food, the food is a little westernized. Their signature kimbab is the best!!
pretty good food！
It was an amazing experience. Both the food and services were absolutely great. Love it!
Jungsik is even better than the last time we dined there just over a year ago. The creativity, flavors and synergy are exceptional. The service is flawless without being obtrusive and the wine list is extensive and well curated.
Everybody was satisfied. Both the food and service are excellent.
Jungsik’s high-quality products are well presented and cooked to perfection. The service is both unobtrusive and efficient. Prices run fairly high but, given the chef’s exceptional talents and dedication to culinary excellence, they seem totally justifed. I am happy to write that Jungsik is one of the rare restaurants where I have returned and which I have found just as good and pleasurable as on the first occasion (this was four years ago...).
Perfect restaurant! Mix Asian food ( 90% similar Korean food) and European manners and serving style. Feels amazing. I will be there again next time when I'm in New York.
First of all it’s not a Korean restaurant. It isn’t even really “Korean-influenced”. Second, if it cost about a quarter of what they charge, it would be good and certainly interesting. But at those prices - and with the expectations that 2 Michelin stars bring - its a giant waste of time and money.
Very nice, but to much added on the wines
Took parents there for their birthday. Amazing experience as always. Food and service are exceptional. Great for special occasions.
I could feel the art. I chose the tasting menu and it was really good. I was surprised at the originality of the chef and was once more surprised at the taste. It was an inspired meal. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The wine list was also great. I was hoping to add Opus one or Duckhorn(Napa valley) red wine. I want to visit again.
Exceptional dining experience! Every dish was well thought-out and expertly executed. The staff was top-notched. The ambience was chic and inviting. My only complaint is that we found the 8 course tasting menu a little overwhelming. The other option was a 5 course menu, but your whole table has to choose the same option. My kids were done by the 4th course, which was sad given the price of the dinner (but that is not the fault of the restaurant). We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and dinner at Jungsik will be an experience my family will treasure.
inventive fusion of Korean cuisine and French culinary technique.
Food was very good. Modern , sophisticated and well elaborated.
The wine pairing option is quite poor compared with the quality of the food and overpriced.
We fell on a waiter that was not at the level of the restaurant and had incorrect attitude.
Was a true experience!
We are celebrating anniversary at Jungsik. The waiter was very sweet and have provided us a menu with our special date printed to be memorized. While we go for the tasting menu for the night, we also plan to come back and try the seasonal menu sometimes.
Jungsik never fails to impress. I keep coming back and this place is consistently tops. On par or better than any of the well known NYC fine dining institutions.
Awesome experience, service and food. They really deserve those Michelin stars.
I have never been to a Korean fine dine before. The service was impeccable, they took care of us so well. The food was beautifully curated by the chef, and each dish complimented each other so well. The amuse bouche was definitely one of my favourites. He combined simple ingredients with more high-end touches like caviar, uni and foie grad that it elevated each flavour. One of the biggest highlights of my meal was the Octopus with gochujang aioli. It was very delicate and light, and it somehow tasted like home. The Wagyu sitting on a bed of rice was also amazing. And the Baby Banana dessert was definitely my favourite. I loved how it was served in a fruit basket. The chocolate shell was not too sweet and complimented the filling very well. Everything was excellent!
It was perfect experience!
The seasonal menu is good and I love the dessert very much
One of the most original and creative, yet authentic eatery in all Michelin-starred restaurants. It's amazing how the restaurant modernized all the dishes but still keep its Korean soul. In my experience, one or two dishes didn't leave me much impression, but the rest are highly refined and innovative(even mindblowing). Galbi and banana are must-try. Attentive and excellent service. The service team was open to chitchat and answered my questions after questions with great patience LOL(was too curious about ingredients and techniques)
In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in New York City. I had the signature tasting menu. The caviar, foie gras, octopus, lobster, tuna and dessert were all incredibly good. I highly recommend you go as you can. It's expensive but well worth it. A top memorable meal for me.
Great meal, great service, but I miss the old menu that gave you many more choices and ways to try their wonderful, creative food. With only 2 mostly set menus to choose from, I won’t be going back anytime soon, sadly.
Exquisite food- beautifully presented
Everything's pretty perfect! Especially the Galbi and Foie Gras Wonton, awesome!
Highly disappointed. For a 2 star Michelin this was a huge disappointment. Service good but not great. Food was more European than Korean. Too much food, too big portions, very basic flavours and lacking creativity. Started well with the pre appetizers but it was downhill from there. Frankly I cannot understand why this place gets any stars, never mind 2. Price was astronomical considering the poor experience.
Always the best food tbh thanks
They got Specials for anniversary!! Super thoughtful and amazing service
