Jump Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Everything was excellent from the time they took our coats until the time we put them back on.
The 8oz tenderloin was cooked perfectly, as good as any steak I have had from a top steakhouse. She had the gnocchi, also perfect, full of cheese and garnished beautifully.
We were greeted and served by several people, making it a great first experience at Jump. Look forward to returning soon.
I went with my family for New Years Eve, the restaurant is very well located, has parking within the building, the ambiance is very romantic and great for special occassions, dimmed light, nice music (not too loud, so you can chat without a problem). The ambiance in general was very cozy for me. Given that it was NYE you could see people wearing from flannel shirts to tuxedos, though in general the ambiance seems more formal than casual. Our server was awesome, answered our questions about the menu, mind you given the occassion it was a set menu, and was very attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious, I ordered the foie gras-duck spring roll, pasta with truffles, the beef tenderloin and chocolate cake, my menu was amazing, I loved all the dishes, the tenderloin was cooked exactly as I wanted it, the pasta was amazing, and my spring roll was also very good. They have a good wine list a lot of them local but also have from other countries. I would recommend this place 100% and will definitely come back for a romantic evening with the hubby.
Food was hit and miss. Granted we were there for a New Year's Eve prix fixe menu so take that into consideration. Foie gras spring roll was good, generous size and pretty good flavours but not something I would order again. Pasta was the best dish of the night, simple olive oil with white truffles, pasta was perfectly cooked with great texture. Venison entree was overcooked with too much juniper. Chocolate cake for dessert was the worst dish, it was horribly sweet with little chocolate flavour and it had a weird texture, no one finished it. The apple pie dessert was much better, it was just a really good apple pie but with more interesting presentation. I did the wine pairings with my meal and they were just okay, only one pairing with the foie gras spring roll was good, the rest were just okay. The cocktails were very good though. Service was good too, I imagine the service would be really excellent on a normal, non-NYE visit.
My wife bought tickets for Bat Out Of Hell so we decided to have dinner beforehand. I’ve been to Jump before and I decided to take my wife there. The whole experience was lovely. Our server was friendly, charming and knowledgeable. Great recommendations for food and drink. The food was exceptionally well prepared and delicious. All in all, a very positive experience.
We've been returning here every Christmas for the last 10 years and, wine list notwithstanding, it just keeps getting better! Terrific staff always remember us and make us feel welcome. Food is always fresh, local, and prepared with meticulous attention to detail. Desserts are also fresh local seasonal and inspired (and delicious of course.) Only suggestion is that there should be more local (VQA) wines by the glass to keep pace with the locally sourced and expertly prepared food! Ontario has so many terrific vintners, it's a shame not to feature them on par with such an excellent dining experience.
We will certainly be back next year and hopefully sooner.
The food was not extraordinary, and was, okay. When we mentioned it was our 22nd anniversary nothing special was done or offered, apart from seating us in a quieter section of the restaurant. For O&B I was expecting more of the food, but found it unremarkable and highly overpriced for what we got. Atmosphere was very stodgy and not chic at all. Wouldn't recommend.
Service was fast and friendly. Went for lunch with a colleague and we both had pasta. The Beef & Boar Bolognese was excellent! My friend really enjoyed the Chicken & Mushroom Alfredo. She asked for a rose sauce and was accommodated no problem. Glasses of wine are pricey at $19 for 9oz. Overall great experience.
We came for our annual girls Christmas get together, we wanted to go somewhere special and Jump was recommended. The service was outstanding, it's a beautiful setting and this meal was the best meal I have had in a long time. The quality and creativity were outstanding. Every single one of us loved our app and meal. I also found this high quality beautiful meal to be very good value. Highly recommended!!
What a brilliant evening. The age range of our group was 21 to 73 and everyone had a terrific time. That's the sign of an excellent restaurant. Food was super - service outstanding and the atmosphere fun for all. Such a friendly classy place with great vibe.
Food was amazing. I ordered the pork chop which was absolutely delicious. My date ordered the short rib which was fall off the bone perfect. Both entree’s were cooked and seasoned deliciously. I had called a few days before our reservation to request a table which didn’t have a lot of traffic as I had recently injured my knee and was restricted to wearing a leg splint and wanted to avoid it being bumped or tripped over. As soon as we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted and was informed where the nearest accessible washroom was and guided to the perfect table where my leg had enough room to be extended and away from any traffic.
Our waiter had a number of large parties he was also serving but was supported by the serving staff ensuring any of our needs were attended to without delay.
I could not have asked for a better setting to celebrate my dates birthday. Everything was on point! From the host that greeted and seated us to the wait staff that served us, you all made her birthday an memorable experience for us both.
We have been coming to jump for years and are never disappointed with its upbeat and urban feel. The menu is always interesting and the server was attendant without hovering. It was busy including a corporate event, neither of which detracted from the atmosphere.
