Took my wife's parents for their 61st Anniversary. They enjoyed themselves and the seating outside. The food was very good and the ambiance was great. Everyone had a great meal and time. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend.
The food is always good! The only issue is ( Take's way to long to get your food.)
We went @ 5:15 for dinner and took until 6:30!
It was a bit better than the usual disappointments I've been experiencing here in Jacksonville. Everything I ordered was delicious: NE Whole Belly Fried Clams (over fried a bit), crab cakes, butter beans, collard greens, and carmel cheese cake. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The bouron drink I order was $11 for a tiny little glass. Although it tasted good, I could have used triple the quantity. The place was extremely busy for a Sunday evening. Luckily we found a parking spot where we did not have to use valet parking. We made reservations which I highly recommend. Downside: 1.) We got small portions, it took along time to get our food, and it was too expensive for the portion size. 2.) The place was so noisy "You couldn't hear yourself think". I was supposed to be on a date with my husband, but we could barely hear each other.
Tasty grouper special with amazing presentation! Specials are always good. They do a great job even when it’s crowded.
The fried food platter was to die for. The grits are some of the best I've ever tasted and I was born and raised in the south. The linguini was a little spicy for me, but if you're looking for a nice kick it will be perfect for you. The broiled oysters were amazing. I mean palm sized oysters...you can't go wrong with that.
Thus is my favorite restaurant, love it! Love it!
It was just ok, we probably should not have gotten so much fried food, it was heavy battered. The scallop appetizer was awesome though, I would get that again. A nice place to sit outside so that made it fun.
It was awesome. One of my favorites. Waitress outside was on point. Very highly recommended
Food was exceptional, as always, and our server - bless her heart - was attentive and kept us informed, but the service was slow. It took a while for our food to come out and the second drink order came to the table late - towards the end of the meal. However, our only real dissatisfaction, each time we've been, is with the loud noise level. It's hard to carry on conversation with your dinner mates.
Always great food and service!
The food was mediocre. Prices were high for what you got. This was the 3rd time we were there and we will try it again. Maybe just a bad night?
Food was excellent. Bobbie, our server, was knowledgeable, cheerful, and regularly checked,on us. A great selection of main dishes: the Crab Claw appetizer, a regular in New Orleans, is seldom seen here and was perfect. Very hard to converse above the noise.
Great everything! From the drinks to the food and the service.
We truly love eating at Julington Creek Fish Camp. It doesn’t matter if it’s with our kids our on a date, they never let us down.
Never a bad meal since opening. Food is a class above all in area. Service is good even on Valentines Day, as in this case. Manager is always on spot keeping everything flowing. Specials of the day are every changing and that is what we often order. Regular menu is great, but like the "surprise me" also.
Shrimp and Grits was fantastic!! Great restaurant ! Friendly staffs !
Clean, excellent service, great food selections. The salmon was awesome and the pecan pie was heavenly. This was our first visit and will return.
Food was good but for the price I expected better, the restaurant was very noisy. People were having to yell to hear others at their table. Eventually most of the people left so it got quieter, but while our server Amanda was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly she wouldn’t leave my date and I alone for more than a couple of minutes. After three interruptions within five minutes I started counting. We were checked on nine times within twenty minutes. I tipped her well because everything else was done well on her part, but between the noise, the “meh” food quality, and the being pestered during a date constantly I doubt I will spend another three figure tab in this establishment.
This restaurant has come a long way in improvement since first opening. The food has always been great but the service originally was nothing short of terrible i.e., long waits for service and having to go find your server in order to get your check, not once or twice, but every time.
The last three visits have been a complete turn around. Good job to the management.
I love the food at Julington Creek but the wait staff and service is very casual and not representative of the price you pay. I’d prefer a higher end dining experience. Not cheap plastic cups, not staff in shorts and t-shirts. A classier more elegant experience would be much more fitting. Also still a terrible waiting situation I made a reservation and had to wait a minute still which is fine but there is no good place to wait and not be in the way.
Service was terrible. Waiter was terrible. Food took 45 minutes to come out from kitchen. All the manager said was sorry. Food was just run of the mill seafood.
First time going, it was as expected. Food was good, service was good. No complaints
As usual One of the best places for seafood in the city
For upscale seafood, there just isn't any restaurant in town that is better. JCFC produces quality seafood dishes every time we visit. On this particular occasion, our server was outstanding.
I found this restaurant on-line, never been there and took a chance. it's said that you have to get lucky sometime. Boy did I get lucky; big time. what a great find. I'm glad I made a reservation because there was a lot of lucky people there ahead of me.
Julington Creek Fish Camp menu is diverse enough to satisfy any palate. As busy as they were, I was very much surprised at the welcoming, prompt and courteous service.
Our server (Patrick) helped us in choosing a delicious dinning experience that will certainly bring us back again. You have earned five (5) stars from me.
It is way to noisy at dinner. Prefer lunch on the veranda. The portions are adequate no left overs. It would have been nice had our waiter told us it was happy hour. I would have ordered differently and saved$12 on wine
The specials are always
Great food and service.
The food was tasty. Our waiter was very friendly and energetic. However, I was disappointed in some of the dishes served. It was a bit pricy. I would return but not any time soon.
