We have frequented Juliet's Bistro several times. It is very convienient to our local Live Theater and Symphony Hall. When we attend the events, we will have lunch or dinner at Juliet's. This particular visit. the food was phenominal. Good wine selections. Service was spectacular and attentive that we were on a time table to arrive at our stage production on time. All of the patrons in our party remarked at how we all enjoyed this dining experience. We will definitely be going back for other occassions as well.
Food was great. It took a little while for service but once we mentioned we were going to a show, waiter made sure our food and check were delivered promptly. Will definitely return when we are not pressed for time. We ate in the bistro section and it was lovely.
Juliette's was very good fare, we had an appetizer, salad and entree. All three were very good, the waiter was very knowledgeable and sensitive to our time as we had theater tickets. We sat in their outside area which was in the lobby/open area of the Omni/building that houses Juliette's which was nice as it is a glass building for the most part so we could see outside and around the lobby which I liked. They do have "indoor seating" as well. It was reasonably priced.
We come here fairly often when there is something at the FTU Center that we want to see. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food choices are good and change periodically. Always find 2 or 3 things that I have to decide between. The quality and flavor of the food is very good. Drinks are a bit on the high side but good.
I always enjoy dining at Juliette’s Bistro. Excellent menu selections, delicious entrees, portions just right, and attentive and friendly service. My favorite go-to place for dinner in Jacksonville, especially convenient before a show at the Times Union. Highly recommend!
The only good thing we can say is the hostess, Ramona, was a pleasure to work with. We requested atrium seating, which we received & she was extremely nice making sure we were good with the table location. We then waited a while before someone brought us water. The waiter kept coming by saying "1 more second". When he finally took our drink orders, he forgot 1 of the 2 drinks. When the food arrived, it was cold. We had to get someone to bring our waiter back to our table. We received the proper order, this time hot, but the salmon was very dry. Then we had to wait another long while before the waiter brought our bill. We've spoken to others who have experienced the same unsatisfactory service and meals. We've all decided not to go there again unless it's just for drinks
Our group of friends decided to dine at Juliette’s before seeing a show. The restaurant is perfectly located - across the street from the theatre. The restaurant and bar are very pretty and lively. The food, however, was not very good. My cod was lukewarm and the Brussels sprouts were underdone. My meal was incredibly expensive as well. In addition to the entree, I had two glasses of wine and my bill with tip was $75.00! did not enjoy the food nor the price. Sadly, we’ll find another pre-show restaurant where the food is good and the price is more reasonable.
This is a tough one. I had just gotten to Jacksonville for a conference was hoping to find a seafood dinner in walking distance of my room. The food at Juliette's was good... I had fried calamari and shrimp and grits, plus a couple of dirty martinis. The problem was the very, very slow service. For most of my meal, I could see no other customers at all, and my entree came out probably 40 minutes after my appetizer. Drinks took about 20 minutes to come back. Clearly, they were feeling leisurely. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone in a hurry.
Nice experience and Natalie our server was delightful!
EDIT: I stand corrected. The finale was unauthorized purchases on the credit card I used. Never again.
Normally the food and service are quite good. This time they brought our appetizer at the same time as soup, brought only one soup instead of two. The finale was waiting over 20 minutes for one piece of bread pudding with a show to get to. Their location across the street from the Times Union Center is really the only positive about our most recent visit.
Very convenient location when going to a show at the Times-Union Center. Plan ahead on show nights though because it's very busy. Great food with friendly service.
Slow and inaccurate service spoiled a reunion and evening out to the theater. There were 7 at our table; and all of us received the wrong order for dinner and for our drinks. And this was even though 4 of the 7 ordered the same meal and cocktails!
Additionally, the waiter served my cappuccino without bringing a saucer, spoon or any sugar. He dropped it off and never asked if I needed anything else.
We arrived 2 hours before the time for our show. Yest we nearly late for the curtain even though we were right across the street.
This is usually a good place, but not tonight.
We booked a table at Juliette's because of its convenience to the Times Union Center, but were also happy to see a great menu...offering something for everyone in our group. Turns out, we all ordered the same entree because it sounded SO good...and we were not disappointed! The crab-crusted grouper was fantastic! Our server was delightful, and everyone else was very helpful and pleasant. We were seated at a table in the "lobby" area of the restaurant which was a bit noisy and felt a bit cold. An "interior" table might have more ambiance. Juliette's is a great choice for easy valet parking and a pre-performance meal/drink before crossing the street to the Times Union Center
Excellent food. Had salmon. Husband had short ribs. Both good
Very convenient for a Play or Symphony. Good food, but a little pricey. Wine list is good but too much upcharge.
Good place to park and eat before a theater matinee.
Good food and good service. This place is busy on show nights at the Times Union Theater so allow enough time. They are also open late after the show too.
My family and I were staying at the Omni because we were going to a play across the street. We went to Juliette's for dinner and had an early 5:30pm reservation because I did not want to be stressed about being late for the show, but we were done in plenty of time. The actual menu was small, but they let my boys order from the bar menu. We had the grilled fish which was really good and the boys had hamburgers with great fries. Service was good even when they started to get busy.
We also went there for the breakfast buffet the next morning and Dennis, was our server and very attentive and the food was good and the coffee great.
Great atmosphere, even better food! Juliette's never disappoints
This was our third recent dinner at Juliette’s. We chose this restaurant because of its location to parking and the Performing Arts Center. The previous two dinners have been food quality disappointments so this time we chose to eat off the Bar Menu. My Burger and Fries were excellent. My wife had the Club Sandwich and considered it only fair. Not great but not awful either. Burger & Fries, Club Sandwich and two glasses of wine, $77.00 with tip.
Very slow service...20 minutes before our waiter came over, despite repeated requests to hostess & bus boy. Food was quite good, but rushed to get to performance at Times Union theatre.
We were celebrating a friends Birthday with dinner and a performance of the Lion King. Our reservation was for 5.45 and we were seated at 5 35pm. The restaurant was not very busy at this time. After a couple of attempts to order a 1/2 bottle of wine we settled on two glasses as non of the wines we wanted were available. A small discount was offered on the glass price.
We ordered out meals by 5:50pm at the latest - restaurant began to fill up. By 6.35 we were still waiting, I approached a couple of what appeared to be supervisors watching the kitchen and dispensing orders. At this time most people around us were eating even though they had been seated much later than us. was advised out food was "up next" Then our server came by and said sorry the kitchen lost your ticket. We finally got our food at 6.50 which we ate very quick as our show started at 7.30. Food was good but no time to enjoy it, have dessert or even take a celebratory photo.
My friends went to the Ladies and I waited another good five minutes before someone who wasn't our server asked if I need anything ... I requested the check and finally paid our server.
We were comped one meal and a glass of wine. The check totaled $55.
Service and handling of the situation was not good. I have worked in the industry for over 20 years and our meal should have been comped ..... who wants to eat their birthday dinner in 10 mins!!!
Very very disappointed!
Had a very poor experience. Had reservations at 11:30 and was seated at 11:57
It was extremely busy and noisy. I have eaten there before and Sunday was an exception.
Again we selected Juliette’s for dinner prior to the Symphony due to its location. Our first visit was a disappointment due to our selecting a speciality menu of Spanish dishes that were poorly prepared. This visit we decided to order off the menu. We selected a nice wine off the menu we were familiar with a Wente (Morning Fog) Chardonnay. When the bottle arrived it was not the Morning Fog but a lesser quality Wente. When I pointed that out they said this is what they have. I ordered the Crab and Corn Bisque and the Crab Cakes. The Bisque consisted of a nice Bisque with about a tablespoon of chopped crab and corn in the middle and the tiny crab cakes were just sad with the same chopped crab and corn mixture on top ( about a teaspoon). And a piece of wilted arugula. My wife also ordered the Crabcakes and of the three half dollar size cakes she ate one. The bill $89.00 after they deducted $8.00 from the $45.00 bottle of wine available at the supermarket for $16.00. Overall the quality of food preparation and presentation were amateurish at best. This was a Friday evening maybe the chef had the night off. Two disappointing visits should tell you something. Care, pride and quality have not been what should be expected.
Had a wonderful pre symphony dinner. Seemed to have a little spotty service at start but it improved. Food was solid and very worth the price. Book at least 1 1/2 hrs before curtain to be safe. We really do recommend it
Good food selection and well prepared! Stop d for dinner before Lion King!
New menu was wonderful. Everyone on staff was friendly and made sure we were satisfied. We will return.
I recently learned about Juliet's after living in Jax for 7 years. Friends and I met for brunch. Service was good. The mimosas were great! My glass stayed full. The good was ok. I enjoyed the seafood, especially the king crab legs. The grits lacked seasoning. The meat options were delicious. A few folks in my party had dietary restrictions. That wasn't advertised but when we inquired about it, staff accomodated our requests. Overall, i had a positive experience and will return one day.
meal was delicious. service was excellent. Good
The chicken and salmon were a bit dry. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were great. Our waitress was fantastic. It was a nice dinner overall.
Very, very slow and erratic service. We ate an early dinner (5:45pm) with friends before a concert (7pm)at Times Center. We had to ask about our orders several times. Had to gulp down drinks and swallow food hastily. Took 30 minutes for drinks to show up. 40 minutes for food to be served. Food was so-so. Management should know that they will be very busy every time there is a concert across the street and should adjust staffing accordingly.
Nice atmosphere any time of day. My family arrivwd first for brunch and was seated next to the station servers used and I had to ask that a bucket of water be moved from by my feet. Dood was decent but not all of it was warm.
We wanted a light dinner before the symphony. We ordered three items off the Spanish Tapas menu. The Albndigas were not hot and very dense with no taste. The other two items the Chorizo meat ball dish, I forget the name was hard as a brick, when I
tried to cut into it with a fork it went flying off the table. The other tapas dish something on toast was not memorable either. Overall, for Spanish dishes all were poorly prepared and totally lacking in spices or taste for that matter. I was reminded of something a waiter once said to me about good Mexican food in San Antonio. " If we made good Mexican Food the tourist wouldn't eat it". I realize the Omni main menu would have probably been better and this was a specialty menu that in my opinion was poorly executed. We'll stick to the main menu for our next symphony or theater visit.
Our experience was very nice. Service was very good. Food was tasty. Prices were in line with most restaurants of this type. Totally enjoyed ourselves
Excellent food, convenient location, lovely bar, great service
We were very disappointed with the menu. We were expecting a buffet which they had last year. Instead we were given a very limited menu. It took us over 2 hours for dinner. Not happy.
Appetizers were completely forgotten about and entree came first.
The crab and corn bisque had completely zero crab meat in it. Don’t order. Terrible in taste.
Crab cake was good when it finally arrived.
Biscuit thats given with butter was completely rock hard. Could not eat. Had to bring more.
The shrimp and grits had sausage to reduce the amount of shrimp given. If your charging $24 dollars give at least 8-10 shrimps. Not five.
Service and ambiance was good but I guess there were too many customers and not enough staff (cooks).
Menu needs to be revamped and broadened. Period!!
Christ Day Brunch. The food was exceptional and the variety on the buffet was certainty varied and well presented.
All of the staff was very welcoming and courteous.
This will be one my go to places in the future.
