Intending to have a pre-concert supper before attending the JAX Symphony performance, which was cancelled minutes before our arrival at the restaurant, we decided to stay and dine anyway. The hotel lobby area housing the bar and restaurant was nearly empty (most likely due to the Covid effect), but the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. The menu was quite limited, but our choices were well prepared and presented and quite tasty.
Lovely ambiance, food was very good.
As usual, Juliette's has never let us down! We will continue to patronize this establishment for our dining pleasures.
Although there was a limited menu because of the pandemic, good selections were still available. The food was prepared perfectly. My steak was cooked perfectly, tender, with a nice sauce, as was my wife's salmon. The sides were good as well, and the presentation was nice. The service was good at first, but, with the reduced staff, at the end of the meal, our waiter was nowhere to be found. Very few diners, but even with more people, I suspect the noise level in the atrium would be very tolerable. One additional point, because some of the diners were attending the symphony next door (we weren't), the server made sure to ask us if we needed to be finished in time. Very considerate.
A perfect meal all the way around. We have been patronizing Juliette's for 10 years with few, if any, issues and will continue to dine here.
We were going to the Jax Symphony Pops concert, so time was important. The doors facing the parking lot were all locked. The main entrance was open, I was able to open the door near the parking lot and let the rest of my party in. Fortunately we were 10 minutes early. Once in the staff took good care of us, the food was great! And we made the performance with time to spare.
Dinner before the symphony. Very enjoyable. Service was outstanding and very appreciative for us coming in. Both waiter and manager came by the table several tiMes.
Usually we enjoy dinner at Juliette’s. This time, the food was mediocre and the service was slow and confused. First, the waiter forgot my friend’s salad then he forgot my wine. After prompting, he brought the wrong kind, bringing me something that I did not like or want. After apologies, we were told that the salad and wine would be taken off the bill. I got home and realized that they weren’t. Perhaps because there was a new special or a new cook, but the food was bland-not their usual standards, especially for the cost.
We were having dinner before a show. Except for the length of time we waited for the entree. the food was very good. The server was David and he was very pleasant. It took about 45 minutes for the food to arrive. I still enjoyed the dinner and would return.
We had a 11:45AM reservation and were seated promptly. The waitress did not acknowledge us until 12:00. We were seated near the window of the open kitchen. Our food was delivered at 12:20. The fish sandwich was cold as were the French fries. The Caesar salad had almost no dressing and chicken in the salad was cold. The fish sandwich as sent back and a hamburgers ordered in its place. It took 20 more minutes to deliver it. We noticed the French fries were made in advance and would sit waiting for a server to pick them up. I have to assume the fish was prepared in advance as was the chicken as they were cold. For $16 sandwiches and salads to be subpar is a disgrace. The Omni should be embarrassed to prepare hot food in advance, serve cold, and charge what they did.
Originally booked for the Sunday Brunch. We chose the breakfast buffet because the brunch was no longer offered. The food was mediocre considering its cost.
My friend and I had 6 PM dinner reservations. We were seated at 6 PM. We waited at least 10 minutes before ordering a bottle of wine. When the waiter brought the wine we ordered our dinner which was delivered in a timely manner. The short ribs were excellent. During our meal we poured our own wine throughout the meal. The manager checked on us several times, but not our waiter. When we ordered our food I told the waiter that we had tickets to the 7:30 play across the street. We were finished eating at 7 PM. I went to the ladies room and left my credit card with my friend for payment. When I returned to the table, our bill had not been brought. I found our waiter and told him that I had left my credit card for my payment and my friend had permission to sign for me because I had to pick up our tickets. That was 7:10 PM. My friend walked through the security gate at the Times Union Center at 7:27 PM. It is unacceptable to take that long to present a bill and get paid. Either our waiter in inefficient or more wait staff is needed when there are special events across the street.
This is a very nice restaurant to go to prior to attending a performance across the street at the Times Union Center.
The service was extremely slow. We had reservations to meet and have a drink and appetizer prior to a Times Union show. We sat there for 15-20 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the waitress. The food and bill delivery were very slow as well. The food was excellent but I would second guess returning due to the poor service. I understand the patronage is much higher on show nights but the restaurant should expect this and be fully staffed.
Took 45 minutes to get 4 salads with salmon.
Food was basic at best. Spouse’s order was incorrect and the waiter was no where to be found after meal delivery until time for the check. I have had much better meals elsewhere for the same price or less. Won’t be back.
First, hat's off to our server, Blain, who promised to do his best, despite their service staff having only two for an anticipated crowd of close to 90. Blain delivered in all the best ways. The setting at Juliette's on the terrace is lovely, and has a nice open air ambiance, even though it is inside. Food options are somewhat limited, and also on the pricey side with the fresh catch (crab-crusted) for $31. But, everyone enjoyed their meals, and the Key Lime pie was delicious, as was the chocolate tart. Most of us had the Smash-cheeseburger, as I did, and I thought it was quite good. Fries were great. Three of us also started with martini cocktails, each of us with exacting instructions, and the drinks were perfectly prepared.
Before concert dinner served and prepared beautifully and on time. Cocktails were superb and wine with dinner excellent.
Everything was very good for a pretheatre lunch. Wish the menu were a little more varied, or that it included brunch, but overall very good.
The food is good. We were there on a Sunday at noon and the menu was very limited. The ambiance is what you might expect in the lobby of an Omni hotel--a bit loud with uninspired decor but clean, modern and fine. The servers were very nice but understaffed. They were apologetic for the slow service. To their credit, they got the orders right and they were as attentive as they could be.
So sorry they no longer have Sunday brunch - so disappointing. Looked forward to it before we went to the Sunday matinee performance forFSCJ series. They got rid of the brunch and service seems to have gone away with it. Will no longer be going to Juliette’s
Menu for lunch was reduced to bare bones and brunch was discontinued; which resulted in a disappointing meal before our Sunday matinee show at the Performing.Arta Center. I can understand that some Sundays may not be busy enough to warrant an extensive menu, but I would think the Sundays of the Artist Series would be a good time to provide a more robust menu. Especially when Hamilton is in the house in March!
Was a little underwhelmed to be honest. Was expecting more . Menu online is not even close to what they have to offer much lesser options. Ordered the Calamri which was honestly a little greasy along with the Crab Crusted. Catch of the Day which was grouper and the Honey Braised short ribs.
Starting with the Fish The fishy was flaky but the Crab topping and crust had little to no flavor. Person I was with was kind of disappointed. I ordered the Braised short ribs with Brussel sprouts and Asparagus. While it was a little sweet the braised ribs were very tender. The sprouts and asparagus were excellent as well.
Ambiance the hotel is gorgeous and the seating and setting at the bistro is nice and quaint. Waitress was attentive and great.
Overall I think for the prices I just expected more maybe the menu was not as vast due to the broadway show in-town so maybe we will try again another time.
Recently dined with a party of four before an evening show at Times Union Center. The reservation process was very easy. Upon arrival the reception staff was friendly and welcoming. We were quickly seated even before our 5:45 reservation. The waiter and food was very good. We each selected a different entree and each person was very pleased with our meal. Highly recommend Juliette’s for your next dining experience when visiting Jacksonville Florida.
Our server was attentive and accommodating to our requests. The food was amazing and a good portion size. Very good experience.
The service was worse than bad! When we arrived there were hardly any other patrons yet it took forever to get our food and then getting our bill was impossible. When the bill came it was done incorrectly. We almost missed our show yet we were there 2 1/2 hrs before the show. Just not what we expected for a “nice” restaurant.
Going to play
Here for pre theater dinner. Best shrimp and grits ever!
Lunch menu is very limited. Food was average.
Repas du réveillon du nouvel an
The service we got was not good It took over an hour for our food to be served not once did the waiter come by to update or check on us did not pour our wine The food when it arrived was fine
The venue was not busy at all, with plenty of available seating on a Friday evening with multiple shows happening right across the street. The food was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. The server was very friendly. The only odd thing was that he didn't ask for any sort of drink order when he first came to our table, but other than that things were on point.
My friends and I had a great time. All of the food we ordered was so delicious.
Had reservations. With no one in the restaurant we were sat by the kitchen door so killed our special evening mood. Server was polite but never brought our salads. Food took a while and when it came we asked about our salads to her reply- the kitchen forgot them so we said we did not need them now. We asked for bread but was told we needed to request it. At the end of the meal she brought our receipt and we asked for cappuccino. She added the cappuccino and ran our credit card. Over 35 minutes later the coffee never came. It had now been a 2 hour meal and we had to leave. So we never got the coffee. Server saw us get up to leave and she went in a different direction. No one was at hostess stand to tell. Food was great but slow arriving. Not sure I want to come back.
Pleasant atmosphere and good food.
Best hamburger ever.....no kidding!
The space is open, noise level low, so we could carry on a conversation. The entries we ordered ranged from burgers to short ribs and seafood, so great range of selections and prices. Wait staff was conscientious and we did not feel rushed.
Our second or third meal here this year as it is only restaurant near Times Union Center. In the past it has been decent. This time it was disappointing in both food quality and service. We must have waited 20 minutes after ordering drinks before waitress came back to say that they were out of the draft beer one of us had ordered. Then, literally another 15 minutes before she came back and said they were out of the wine we had ordered. Wow. This is getting ugly early. Then seafood special came and it was beige fish on a bed of wine mashed potatoes on a white plate. Fish was okay, but I would expect more for $31.
Wow. Friday night with a show at 8pm. We were seated promptly at 6:15pm and given water. At 6:45pm, I asked for menus. At 6:55pm, I asked for a waiter. At 7:05pm, a manager took our order. At 7:25pm, we got a drink and the food order we put in at the same time and ate quickly to make our show. The water was delicious.
We had 5:45 PM reservation and tickets for a show across the street at 7:30 PM. We were pushed to finish our dinner and get to the show on time. The restaurant was busy because there were two activities going on. They needed more servers. It took quite a while to have our order taken. We asked for an entree to be split and they brought it not split and had to take it back to split it. We refilled our own wine the entire meal. The food was good. The dining experience left a lot to be desired.
