The food was amazing...Everything was wonderful, thank you!!
We have been to Juliette multiple times. The food and service is usually really good, so that is why I wanted to return for Mother’s Day. It was a huge disappointment, however. We had a reservation and the restaurant was not packed, yet we were not offered dining room seating and were asked if we wanted a high table or patio seating (which isn’t much in terms of ambiance) and had to wait a while for that. Once seated, the waitress asked us to order, and it took literally a full hour to get our food. In the meantime, there was no bread or anything brought to the table nor compensation offered for the long wait. I had to ask for my complimentary champagne as it was not offered. I asked if it could be a mimosa but was told no. The waitress never asked again if we wanted anything else to drink. She did not check on us. When she finally did come around, she let us know that another table had to wait an hour for their food since someone else was mistakenly given their items instead. Hmmm - why did it take an hour for us to get our food? Same type of error? And why was the waitress never attentive other than to complain to us? Regarding the food, while my husband was satisfied with his entree and my short rib was delicious, it was only slightly warm. My daughter and her fiancé had large salads that were sparse on avocado and other ingredients. My son’s hamburger was good, but no one liked the homemade catsup that went with his French fries. Juliette is not as good of a restaurant as it once was. I do not know if we will ever go back again. There are too many other restaurants to visit where one can dine and feel special on a special occasion. Nothing was special about this Mother’s Day visit. We were all annoyed when we left and wish we had gone someplace else.
I'm not sure how to review this restaurant. I like the food and we keep returning when we have tickets to a show at Zach because it's so close to the theater. There does seem to be a constant stream of problems: last time they lost our reservation and seated us outside and then delivered one entree 15 minutes after the other three. The time before that the waiter spilled wine on our friend. On another visit they spilled olive oil on my blouse. None of these problems seem to concern the staff. And yet we return! I do love the butter lettuce salad!
Great food and cocktails! Wish it were a little more quieter. Will go again.
They had several beers on tap, but oddly all but 1 were IPA which a couple people in our party do not like. The 1 Pilsner they had, was out. There was a lot of back and forth with the waiter to get to this point. Feel like their are a lot of other good restaurant choices in this area.
Easter. Good service as always
Excellent service, wonderful Easter day menu and the homemade biscuits were amazing . Always look forward to my meal at Juliette's Kitchen.
We visit the area once a year and always dine at Juliette. My husband has the pork shank and raves about it. I try different dishes and everything is always high quality, with excellent service. We especially appreciate Tatiana.
This was a great meal, like they always are at Juliet’s. We tend to order a mix of appetizers and entrees to share with our group. Must have items are the Brussel Sprouts and the Pork Cheek. If you like Duck, they do a great job there as well. Looking forward to trying the lamb next time.
We usually try to say hello to the chef and he is always very gracious and personable. It is great to see Juliet’s succeeding.
Try everything there. You won’t regret it!
First time for dinner, have lunch here once or twice a week - love love love it. :)
Lunch and Dinner menus are similar. A good place for a solid dinner or business meeting.
Great place for lunch or dinner. Took business clients and it was perfect
Wonderful service! Amazing food!
The food was great! There were four of us and our friends had only been there once before. We ordered the risotto, squid, beet salad, mussels, and shared the duck entree. Everything was prepared pleasing to the eye and taste. Our one friend said he really did not care for mussels but when the dish came, he said they were very delicious and the portion was very large. Our server was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine (Sean Minor) which complimented the meal.
But I never met Juliette the hostess, as the maitre'd did not inform her I had arrived. She never checked with us. Either she did not notice us when we arrived through the entrance at the bar or she was too busy.
We sat at the bar... our mistake and never again. Bartender was taking care of bar patrons and high top tables. Too much for one individual and one especially lacking the ability to multi-task. Our service from him was indifferent. Didn’t listen when we gave him our order and thus it was wrong when delivered. Did he apologize... not at all. Food was good, but when service doesn’t match food quality it ruins the entire dining experience.
My guest and I both had the roasted turkey sandwich, which came with homemade chips. The sandwich is delicious, with hand carved turkey and the chips are awesome. I would recommend Juliette’s as a good casual business lunch option.
Birthday dinner was great.
We had lunch at Juliette's. The service was fine...........food, not so much. My husband and our friend ordered the soup, potato and onion and it had little taste. I ordered the Juliette burger. When it was served it was at least 6 inches tall. In order to eat it, it was necessary for me to remove much of the slaw and condiments to make it manageable to bite. The plank on which it was served had no room to put all that stuff. It spilled over to the table. Burger itself was good, but the plating was awful. It needed to be served on a much larger plate.......very difficult to eat. Left me with not a great feeling about the place. In retrospect, I should have asked our waiter for another plate.....Will think long and hard about a return visit...........No to mention that the parking was impossible. Once we were in, the hostess told us to use the complimentary valet, that had clearly marked signs for Il Barone. Too late.
Great local bistro. I love a place with a short menu where everything is amazing. I will keep coming here as long as the food quality continues to be top notch.
We had a nice meal. Cauliflower was a bit bland, but risotto, clams and seafood stew were all very good.
I love the ambiance at Juliette’s! I started with the Rose 75 cocktail. It was so yummy! My hubby had a Sazerac and enjoyed it also. We took advantage of the special menu for restaurant week and it was well done and had a good selection. I started with the cauliflower. I enjoyed the yogurt sauce that accompanied it. Maybe the cauliflower was a teeny bit over-cooked but it was fine. I chose the Thai style fish as my main and I enjoyed it. The spices, coconut milk and other flavors melded well.My hubby/date had the duck entre and it was really, really good. It was cooked perfectly too (just the right amount of pink and juicy and flavorful). The desserts were good/great. I got the salted caramel pudding. It was good. But, my husband’s bread pudding was truly the Star. It came out in a little cast iron dish and was bubbling hot with an amazing caramel-like sauce. Wow!!
Juliette’s is always a fun, dependable choice for us.
I was there for lunch and had the swordfish. It was delish. Portion was small but very tasty. Restaurant tends to be a little noisy and decor is too rustic for me but the food is very good.
Juliette is one of our favorite restaurants. This time though I was a bit disappointed by the quality/dollar value. We selected the OC week special and got to choose one appetizer, one entree and one dessert for $50. The appetizer was excellent, my entrée was salty (fish) and not at the level of their standards.
The dessert was good, not remarkable. Overall, I didn't feel like the experience was worth the money.
We love Juliette! The outdoor area is our preference because of the lower noise level.
Service was terrible. It was a busy night but table that sat down after us was served first. Food is a bit pricey for smaller portions as well. I used to love this place. I won’t be back.
The cuisine would be enhanced by tablecliths
I've been to this restaurant a few times and the food has always been exceptional, today's visit was lacking a little potentially due to going near the end of the night. Still very good
Scallops tastes sandy and burnt.
This eatery is a popular restaurant to enjoy a good food and solid service. The ambiance is a bit loud but
that's part of the fun.
The food is well prepared with good ingredients, flavors and presentation without being overly fussy or pretentious.
I will return for sure.
Excellent food and service. It was a great spot to meet a friend for lunch.
Wonderful service and delicious food. Arrived slightly early for my reservation but was seated right away. Would definitely come back again.
The food was great and our server was extremely pleasant. I also enjoyed a cocktail.
Fun place for lunch
Menu is very well put together.
The server was very attentive and helpful although she recommended the risotto based on the fact that it is “popular”...I asked if the Farro was chewy and again she said if was popular. I should have gone with my gut because it was very chewy...because farro is.
The drink menu is very interesting and had I not been driving I definitely would have indulged.
The bathroom was super shocking. It’s a great looking restaurant and the prices put it at a higher end or at lease mid range. So I expect a nice bathroom. Wow...it smelled like mildew and was showing it’s age.
I wouldn’t return although there were several dishes that sounded very good but there are so many good places in the area.
Excellent small plates menu - perfect for sharing. Great wine list and very affordable selections. Staff super friendly and accommodating of gluten allergy. Thank you for an excellent visit!
We were disappointed i the liquors carried in the bar. basically mostly craft cocktails. My husband and I
like basic cocktails. Neither of our choices were available.
Great food and service. We will be back thanks. The cauliflower appetizer is a must!
I have eaten here many times and i have always enjoyed the food & service. The only thing that disappointed me this time was that I ordered an ice tea which cost $4. And they refilled my glass without asking (which is pretty standard in any restaurant and I appreciate it). However, i was charged twice for the ice tea and I should have complained and had the second one removed from my bill but I was in a hurry to leave. To pay $8 for a plane house ice tea is ridiculous especially when I didn't ask for a second glass, they just refilled my glass.
