On November 25, Jules was offering their Restaurant Week menu. The Caesar Salad was scrumptious and the Shrimp and Angel Hair Pasta and Steak entrees were delicious. Service and Food are always excellent at Jules, very consistent. tables are not too close together. We typically opt for the $30/$35 before 6 Dining Option and have never been disappointed. It is an Ocean City treasure!
Dined on the first night (Sunday) of restaurant week and ordered from prix fixe menu. Location in shopping center storefront, large plate glass windows and tables placed right inside the front door did not meet my idea of a "fine dining" establishment. None the less, the decor was clean and modern and set with white linen table cloths and napkins. Considering that there were only ten customers at three 3 tables when we entered, and they finished soon thereafter, the meal and wait service was slow. Only one couple entered during the remainder of the evening. But this might be expected on a Sunday night in the "off season" at a beach community.
The food and its presentation was creative, well executed and flavorful. This description applies to the extraordinary butternut squash risotto, caesar salad, eggplant parmesan. The crab cake contained large pieces of crabmeat and the accompanying cole slaw was uniquely spicy.
This was the first time dining at this establishment and would return based on the quality and enjoyment of the food.
The food is exceptional and the service is second to none! And, that's just part of what we love about this place. We always bring our houseguests to Jules, we even have a standing date with old friends who show up once a year. We celebrate special occasions, and we stop by for "early bird" at the end of a busy day. Jules is our "all around" place.
For a restaurant in a strip mall, Jules is a gem. Service was top shelf and wine list was great. We started with the coconut shrimp appetizer which was very good. My husband had the crab cake entree which was good but not great , a bit too much filler for a high end restaurant. I enjoyed the snapper special which was the entire fish, head to tail flash fried with a hoisin type sauce. The kitchen happily switched out saluted vegetables for the wasabi mashed potatoes which appeared to be their only starch. Overall, a good experience.

Server was distant and would walk away while we were still talking to him.
Appetizer and salad were good. My "medium" filet was actually rare but wife liked her entree. Dessert was ok but not great. We left disappointed.
We really wanted to enjoy Jules more than we did. The food was quite good, but our server was easily distracted. Despite having reservations our table was moved for a larger group, and it took 3 times for the restaurant to give me a proper place setting. The descriptions of the specials given by our server were very underwhelming when compared to the server for the table next to us. The food was good, but pricy and not worth recommending.
We had high hopes. We had eaten here two or three years ago and had a wonderful experience. Not to be this time. It took almost 2 hours to get our entrees. And there were no apologies from any of the staff. The food might have been good but we were so frustrated it would be hard to tell. We finally told the staff that we were ready to leave and dinner food appeared quickly. Just not kind of experience I want at these prices.
We used to love this place and didn't mind paying more because the food was delicious. But this last experience we had a party of seven and did not even get drinks for 20 minutes. The food took over an hour and a half to get us in the restaurant was half empty. Then when the food came both meat dishes were completely under cooked and the pork there was nothing there. It's such a shame because we want to love it but to have a three hour dinner at seven people is just way too long.,
Absolutely wonderful. In OC it is so hard to find a restaurant that is not the shellfish hut or spaghetti palace or meat pit. Jules is a gem that could hold its own in the restaurant district of any city. Jules has a wonderful menu of interesting dishes that are well-prepared from local ingredients. Service was friendly and excellent. The dessert menu is to die for. The restaurant offers an amazing deal in its 3-course early evening prix fixe menu which offers star dishes from the regular menu plus a glass of wine for $30. I look forward to going back.
We are from Philadelphia where we have many of very fine restaurants. This is the gem of Ocean City. My wife who loves seafood said this was the best snapper she has had in her life. All she did was rave about the delicious the snapper. We will be back the next time we are in OC.
This was our first time at Jules. We decided to try a few different restaurants this trip and we are so glad we did. Small quaint restaurant with a nice decor. Food is amazing! Best fine dining experience in OC in a long time. We will definitely be back our next time in OC.
Two in our group of 7 had issues with their steaks and how they were not cooked as requested. Our server took the food back and presented new steaks. One was still way over cooked for their liking. The server removed the meals from the bill and our friend did not eat the steak. She apologized and was upset about him not being pleased with his meal. He ended up only eating his salad. I have not had this experience before and would still highly recommend this restaurant. It is a favorite of me and my husband. Must have been an off night for the chef.
I am a yearly vacationer to Ocean City and I always go to Jules. This trip I was on vacation with 2 friends who own condos there and frequently visit, one of whom is a foodie. They had never heard of Jules. I told them that Jules is a jewel. They were not disappointed.
The service, as always, was impeccable. The server was always available but did not hover. There is an extensive Bourbon selection. But the food was the star. The pork belly appetizer did not disappoint and the chutney served with the lamb chop was a party in my mouth. So many flavors.
I am certain that my friends will be back to Jules. I know I will.
We have been to Jules a few times, although quite a few years ago. Our dinners were very good, especially the roasted tomato soup with crab and corn and the crab cakes. I thought the ambience was ok; not much to look at. Service was efficient, but I thought our server could have been more engaging. A very nice wine list; it was hard for me to make a choice! Overall, it was a nice experience and I would revisit.
Date night with my wife. Hadn't realized we had visited once before a few years back until we pulled into the parking lot. Food was very good, as were the drinks and the service. Location isn't the best, can be a little challenging to find. It's in a small strip mall alongside a larger shopping center. Kind of tucked away in the rear. Makes for slightly less ambience.
