JTK Cuisine & Cocktails
Went after Husker Basketball game. Only negative was drinks were slow to come. As well as the bottle of wine we ordered. Server said the bartender was slammed. Otherwise all was fine.
We went to JTK for dinner on a double date before the symphony, and it was perfect for the occasion. They have amazing food and drinks and it was a great atmosphere. Their date night special was a great value (one appetizer, two entrees, and a desert for $45), and we will be going back.
Everything was so delicious! The menu had changed since my last visit but everything new was amazing
We've been going here for years, and are never disappointed. A great place for an intimate dinner. I appreciate the fact that the extensive wine list is not overpriced to the extent that most fine dining restaurants are (others having 100% markup, at least). The Birthday wine discount I received via email made it all the more worthwhile.
This was my boyfriend and I’s first time eating here. Wow, you will not be disappointed. We went for their date night special. We started with a yummy meatball appetizer, both got a salad, I got the Basil Chicken and he got the Atlantic Salmon, and ended with Creme brûlée! Couldn’t have asked for a better dinner!
Ste there with friends prior to a concert and everyone raved about it.
Elegant dining, very attentive server, delicious dinner! Salmon was superb!
I dined here with our family for my husband’s birthday. The server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the questions we asked. The food was delicious as usual. We have never had a bad experience at this restaurant!
Because it was game day and they do not have TVs at JTK, it was very quiet. The service was very good and the food delicious. We've eaten there before and will likely eat there again.
Always a great place for a special occasion or really anytime. Great food and atmosphere!
The food was excellent as was the service. I highly recommend you giving them a try.
Amelia was a great server, she was helpful in recommending drinks and food items for dinner. It was a fairly mild dinner except for the noise from the wedding down the hall, not your fault, but was a bit chaotic especially with the shared restrooms. Enjoyed the desserts of tiramisu and creme brûlée. The best creme brûlée I have ever had, it was so silky and smooth.
Best restaurant in Lincoln, but we didn't get the points as of Friday 7/13
I'm not sure JTK is THE best restaurant in Lincoln but it is definitely one of the best! And certainly our favorite. The tenderloin and rack of lamb were fantastic!
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at JTK! The service was excellent and the food was fantastic! We will be stopping by again soon for lunch or dinner!
If you want a good steak the filet is only one in Lincoln of this quality
Very slow service when there was only a few tables that were occupied. We went early at 5:15. Took over 15 minutes to get drinks. By the time the server brought our drinks we were ready to order more. We would have had more but way to slow making them and delivering. The menu on line isn’t the same or hasn’t been updated in awhile. I was really looking forward to a chicken dish they had on the menu on line. The server had a great personality and was nice. There was a wedding next door and so it was super loud in dining room. We had to ask wait staff to close doors. The chicken dish I ordered was horrible. Chicken was over cooked and no flavor. The dessert wasn’t very good either. We all were very disappointed! This is supposed to be a high end restaurant, but it isn’t. Very expensive for what you get.
Best restaurant in Lincoln.
There was a group of ten of us. Everyone was pleased with their meal. We all did the
date night special. Neat
We love going to JTK for their "Date Night" menu: 4 courses + a bottle of wine = really difficult to beat in downtown Lincoln. The food is great, the service is exceptionally accommodating if you have an event to attend, and the decor/ambiance makes it appear as a fine dining experience. Not sure why it isn't more highly attended than it is - although we have always placed a reservation, we've typically not needed it as there always seems to be open seating. This is unfortunate as it is one of the few fine dining options in the Haymarket area.
Food was not hot server did not seem to care when we told her
By Lincoln standards excellent. Very pricey. Over priced. Drinks outstanding. Appetizer marginal, lukewarm sausage expensice. Needed less meat and a crouton with ir. Entrees well done. Polenta not so great. Beautiful and loved that it was not loud and awful noise pollution. Amy was excellent.
we had the special of the day witch was shredded pork over mash potatoes. Too much salt and the pork was dried out. The beet salad was terrible.
Very nice location. The attention from the staff was very good. There were a couple of problems with our choices that were immediately resolved. We didn't realize until we got home that we did not get our appetizer but the good news is we were not charged and did not go hungry. Would recommend to a friend.
Classy ambience. Excellent service. Very good wine list. Presentation very appealing. The food, however, didn't match the atmosphere. It was okay, but I expected better than that. To be fair, I will try it again another time.
Lovely restaurant with a great ambience. Delicious food and a breadth of good wine options.
Our server was amazing!!! She was so knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great! A few items were just warm in temperature and should have been HOT! We loved the sharing menu and it's value. If I lived local I would go there all the time for the rotating chef choices!!! The strange thing was the lighting in this restaurant and the lack of music.
The apple dessert with graham crust was outstanding! Perfect way to end our excellent meals.
When in Lincoln I try to make it a point to have a meal at JTK. The food is always great, the wine list extensive and the service very good.
I have to admit, this visit, the service was the best that I have experienced anywhere in many years. Amy, who is only there part time, is exceptional. She handled giving everyone the same attentive service, no matter the occasion or request.
Kudo's to management for having her on their team!
Took my now girlfriend out on a first date-- everything was perfect.
It's so pleasant to be able to hear the person you're talking to. The quietness adds an intimacy where every word seems to be the most important thing ever said.
We ate the pork belly which was nothing like I've ever tasted. It was so good. Salmon was exceptional as well. Both melted in your mouth with ease. Wine was exceptional and affordable.
Service from our waiter, Ben I think, was extraordinary.
If I had one complaint I would say that the desert was not as good as I expected. Banana-chocolate cake was hard.
Great food and atmosphere. Great menu options. We utilized the date night menu.
wonderful, several course dinner to slow down and unwind. great date night and fantastic service.
Had a great time food was phenomenal
Service was great
Date night menu is one of the best in town.
Everything about the restaurant was good unfortunately except for the food. As a flight attendant I travel a lot and eat a lot so I'm quite used to different qualities of dining. We had the duck and the Kobe steak the duck was quite tough and while the steak was cooked to perfection I wasn't overly impressed with any of the flavoring. That being said we were the last diners on what I expect was a busy Valentine's Day so I get it. In a city with not a whole lot of four to five star dining options I was still impressed with the service and the ambience and it was a perfect Valentine's Day dinner after all it's not really completely about the food at that point. I look forward to going again and perhaps trying something different on the menu.
Visited there for the first time for Valentine's day. Table was ready at the reserved time. Drinks were great. We went with the couple's crafted menu. The portions we're perfect. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend for a date night.
We love JTK, it's really the BEST fine dining spot in Lincoln, has excellent food & exceptional service. They do NOT seem to ever over-book and make you wait. It's pretty consistent also we always have a good experience.
This visit was great over-all but one Kobe steak (and at the market price of over 30.00 this is a big deal) was sent back & the other one he kept because he didn't want to wait, though he did tell the server it was over-cooked, they were NOT med rare. Also the BILL WAS WAY OFF over 50 dollars and the bill seem almost " padded" we were charged for drinks we didn't order so it wasn't like we got the wrong bill or anything, no real explanation why was offered, that was a little disappointing . CHECK YOUR BILL!!!
That situation was a little embarrassing because we brought friends who had never been there.
In other fine dining spots they adjust the bill or at least have the manager come and apologize, when things like that happens but that wasn't offered. It was Valentines Day and they were busy so I won't judge them completely on this experience.
I so love this place. It was my second visit, but hope to make it more often. Great food, amazing service and just a really nice place to unwind and enjoy my spouse's company!
Good meal in Lincoln. Been here twice and both times it’s been good. Solid steak, great service, nice apps. Not an amazing food experience, but a very consistent and solid meal with JP nice Service. One of the better places in downtown Lincoln.
JTK attempts to be a high-end restaurant. The decor, the service and the prices all provide the feel of a top notch restaurant for the area, but the food misses the mark. We chose to do the "date night" special. Nothing we had was bad but nothing was interesting or exciting either. The flavor was just okay. Spices were underused leading to a weak and thin flavor. The temperature of the food was often just luke warm. We decided to upgrade an entree to get the beef tenderloin. Unfortunately it was actually a bit tough to cut and again lacking in flavor.
