Food and service was good. Called a head to ask about parking as was going to hockey game. Was told on phone it was $20 and would be added to bill.
Got to parking lot and attendant demanded $25 cash.
If I was told truth I would have.parked at rink for $20 which would have made leaving game easier. Feel lied too
Great place to go before a ducks game or an angel game. Good food good service They know how to get you in and out
Always a convenient spot for food & good beer before a Ducks game.
The overall ambiance is like a Cheesecake Factory. The food was decent with the exception of the steak. We ordered 2 orders and it was chewy n highly disappointed for pricing above $30.00. At the very least get some decent steak.
Fun energetic place, big portions, very good food.
Motto for service should be churn and burn. Entrees came out about 2 minutes after the appetizers. The waitress did warn us it was likely going to happen but didn't seem to be able to do anything about it. The house draft wasn't great either.
Dining here after our team worked a long show at the Convention Center, it would've been nice to relax and enjoy our meal. I never thought service that was too fast would be a downfall but it was way too fast and almost made us feel like turning the table over as quickly as possible was the first priority over providing an excellent customer dining experience. We ate fast because we felt pressured to! Fish & Chips looked good but turned out to be the driest fish ever. Rest of our meals were ok. I'm sure not all servers were as in a hurry as ours since other tables appeared to be more relaxed enjoying their meals. Canceled our reservations for the next evening and will not be booking her for next year's show.
Great waitress however they were short staffed.
She had 12 tables and was streched too thin.
Food was good.
We were there on a Thursday 6 pm. Fairly casual place to dine. Outdoor sports bar looked fabulous but we dined inside due to wet weather. Interior decor and ambiance was good. No complaints there. Overall liked the food. Our waitress was great. One of our sons thought the poke style appetizer was a a bit over dressed with ginger and masked the fish flavor. This is coming from a person who lived in Japan for 5 years. The rest of us liked it. I ordered some brussel sprouts. I liked the char and roast of them but they were swimming in oil. So next time I will mention this when I order. Beer is great with a fabulous selection along with scotch and bourbon. Portions were ample, was able to feed four adults (three men) for about $120 with beers. I had made reservations through Open Table and noted it was my husband's birthday but no acknowledgement was made. It truly was not a bit deal for us but I thought I should mention this for the sake of others. For the same reason, I mentioned it to the hostess on my way out. She was very apologetic. We plan on returning, just a few tweaks here and there and it would have been a four star or even a five star rating.
I really enjoyed my luncheon with 2 other business associates. The service was great, the food was timely and the noise was at a good level so we could talk! Back to the food....it is great! I enjoy the uniqueness of the menu and their ability to have something for everyone that is yummy. Even kids enjoy it here! Thanks for a meal and environment that you can count on!
Highly recommend, great service and food for the price was tasty and big portions!!!
Pre-concert dinner. Cowboy burger & jambalaya both delicious. Friendly waitress.
We always make a reservation before an event for nearby venues (Honda Center or Angels Stadium) It's always good. Food is yummy and service is great!
Large restaurant- plenty of room for meetings. A bit distracting with numerous tv’s. Food was great. Service highly competent.
Beer selection and service were very good. However, at $20.95 the fish & chips were overpriced. In addition, they were dry. Secondarily the wings were meaty, but didn’t have a lot of heat or flavor.
Very average food for the price.
Very Good experience!! Nice for a dinner for any occasion. Food was good, drinks were also good.
The cherry mule was delicious, but the service was poor (it took FOREVER to get our food even though the restaurant was empty) and there were no vegetarian meal options.
Picked this restaurant based on the great reviews. While server was top notch, the quality and taste of food was sub-par (fish tacos, tasted off and chips were stale). Hostess took five minutes to seat us even with reservations, not crowded and three of them at the arrival area.
JT Schmid's has a great variety to their food menu and has great service overall. Like with any brewery, they have a good selection of their own beer. Good atmosphere and is perfect if you are going to a Ducks game or other event at the Honda Center across the street. The only thing they could improve on would be their dessert menu. Great place overall though.
Had early 5:45pm reservations for Valentines Day with many booths available but they tried to seat us at a table. We requested a booth and was then escorted to the one booth right outside the server kitchen with approx 6 more available in that same row. I had just signed up for their loyalty program and the host/hostesses and server knew nothing about it so I had to ask our server to check with the Manager. Finally was told they don't give cards anymore but instead they use the phone number. The final thing was we had both ordered the Angel Hair Pasta with Chicken. It was so salty neither of us could finish it. If I didn't have a bad cold, I would've fought this bill but we called it a night. FYI - The Manager was never seen visiting tables, just standing on the ramp outside the servers station watching the Olympics. We'be been here quite a bit but after this visit, probably won't be going back.
Great service and delicious food The Beer Cheese soup hit the spot
Our waitress was very helpful answering any questions that we had. We started off with a poke appetizer which was amazing. We also had a bowl of chili which was delicious. For dinner I had the mahi tacos which were ok. The fish was pretty dry. My date had a French dip that was amazing.
Loved the glass-enclosed patio (and dog-friendly), but service very mediocre and food disappointing.
Great food and service. Very convenient location.
Our food was good, but it was warm not hot. The restaurant was busy, so the waitress wasn't as attentive as I would have liked. I like that they take reservations. It makes it really easy when you have an even across the street at the Honda Center.
The food and service was very good at JT Schmid's. The Cherry Moscow Mule was delicious and so was the Stout beer. Hamburgers were cooked to order and tasty. We were impressed with large size of the restaurant and the outdoor bar area. Because it's so large with lots of people the noise level was high, so it was hard to hear each other. The location was perfect for Honda Center and City National Grove of Anaheim. Will come back in the future.
we showed up and were told we did not have a reservation . That was upsetting . The 3 girls seemed unsure what to do when I showed them my reservation conformation on my phone . They looked at me like I had done something wrong and were upset I had proved them wrong . We were seated and the service was stellar . local beers were good and the drinks were strong. The food was like a really good bar food . For me the ribs were over cooked and way to much sauce . I have eaten here several times over the years and the steaks have always been great. I have never been unhappy with the food but the ribs were just not what I prefer . The smell of the rids when we entered the place is why I ordered them. service was great food is normally great and the price was good. There is a outside bar where my guest can smoke which they really like .
Good food beer and service. What more do you want!
Jt Schmid, has been are go to spot for so many years and we will contunie to have our group/friends dinner meeting here. Its worth the wait and the food/beers are off the chart. Always a great place to visit and chill out for a few hours.
Took a group of 6 for a birthday celebration. Great service. Noise level is pretty high. Everyone was satisfied with their good and drink including our vegan member of the party
Great pre concert experience
Waitress kept walking away before we could complete our order... it was extremely frustrating. One of us would order then she would walk away before the entire table could complete their order, we would have to flag her down to complete the rest of the tables order. I’ve had bad service before but never anything like this. We ordered boneless buffalo wings that came out super fast which was a plus but they were by far the worst I’ve ever had the meat was dried out and sloppy presentation. We told the waitress she offered to get us something different but yet walked away before we could tell her to put in a order of ahi as replacement. The whole dinning experience was so ridiculous and obnoxious. She would get even a drink order for one person then leave without asking what anyone else wanted or if she could get anyone anything else. Pizza was sloppy even our child made a comment on how it looked like sloppy.
IT IS A NICE PLACE FOR GATHERING A GROUP OF PALS IN ALL KIND OF EVENTS.
It took a very long time to get our food. Parking was valet and it was a long wait to get our cars. Both of these aspects made it hard to arrive on time (we didn't) to an event we were going to at nearby Anaheim stadium. Someone (the manager?) comped our first round of drinks for the long wait, which was nice, but only 2 people in our party of six were drinking, so that wasn't much benefit. My house salad was spring greens mixed with the house balsamic, nothing else. Nothing special, didn't finish. My chili was mushy, not very tasty, a little spicy, didn't finish. My daughter's tomato basil pizza wasn't very tasty, didn't finish. 2 people in our party ordered the French dip sandwiches and I believe they enjoyed them.
For an extremely busy evening (Ducks vs Kings), the service was very good, reservations were on time & the food was delicious.
I have never written a negative review of a place and this is not that. The place serves its purpose prior and after Ducks games in Anaheim and was super busy. We made Open Table reservations and it worked flawlessly, were seated immediately.
Atmosphere was buzzing but we were able to talk to the couple we were with easily without too much noise. Waitress was wonderful. Food, not so. Ordered tator tots appetizer which was good. Their menu had changed from what was online (I had chosen online a specific sandwich I wanted ahead of time) and I had to choose another entree, the blackened chicken sandwich. It was served with fries which were ok but the sandwich was inedible. The chicken was so dry that I took it off the bun unable to bite it, and even then could not cut it with a knife, was trying to tear at it using fingers. I think they knew that so had tried to juice it up with water because bun was soaked on bottom, couldn’t pick it up to eat it when I was still hungry. Yet there was only the smallest dollop of sauce to be had on sandwich, no flavor either. So, my husband had ordered the pizza and hadn’t finished it. I finished it but it was nothing special at all, crust was floppy and generally whole thing was flavorless. To be fair, we were there at 5:30 on a game night and didn’t expect excellence, but never had food like that served to me. The other couple shared avocado rolls which they liked.
I did not make a fuss because our waitress was good and my husband hates attention being drawn to us.
Terrific as always. Great burgers. Great beer. Great waiters: Jill, Chris, and Daniel.
Good food good service
Fantastic restaurant and friendly, attentive staff. Great food too!
French dip sandwich was well prepared. The house Merlot was a disappointment.
