I have never written a negative review of a place and this is not that. The place serves its purpose prior and after Ducks games in Anaheim and was super busy. We made Open Table reservations and it worked flawlessly, were seated immediately.
Atmosphere was buzzing but we were able to talk to the couple we were with easily without too much noise. Waitress was wonderful. Food, not so. Ordered tator tots appetizer which was good. Their menu had changed from what was online (I had chosen online a specific sandwich I wanted ahead of time) and I had to choose another entree, the blackened chicken sandwich. It was served with fries which were ok but the sandwich was inedible. The chicken was so dry that I took it off the bun unable to bite it, and even then could not cut it with a knife, was trying to tear at it using fingers. I think they knew that so had tried to juice it up with water because bun was soaked on bottom, couldn’t pick it up to eat it when I was still hungry. Yet there was only the smallest dollop of sauce to be had on sandwich, no flavor either. So, my husband had ordered the pizza and hadn’t finished it. I finished it but it was nothing special at all, crust was floppy and generally whole thing was flavorless. To be fair, we were there at 5:30 on a game night and didn’t expect excellence, but never had food like that served to me. The other couple shared avocado rolls which they liked.
I did not make a fuss because our waitress was good and my husband hates attention being drawn to us.
Terrific as always. Great burgers. Great beer. Great waiters: Jill, Chris, and Daniel.
Good food good service
Fantastic restaurant and friendly, attentive staff. Great food too!
French dip sandwich was well prepared. The house Merlot was a disappointment.
Our meal was great. We went back a few days later for dinner.
The restaurant itself was fantastic inside with an outdoor patio area; also, the bar area was well placed and a good venue to watch a sports event; But, the food was terrible and not cheap. What chef cannot make rice??? The jambalaya was sticky and gooey!! the egg rolls were frozen and tasted as such. I hear that the Buffalo Burger is good?? the waitress was excellent!
I go to JT Schmid's frequently for dinner or lunch before events at Honda Center and enjoy the typical sports bar fare and ambiance. Reasonable selection and good appetizers.
Usually, I get great service from wait staff ( especially Gabbi and Katie) but, on this visit, had the ABSOLUTE WORST wait staff ever ( Jenn B). She was rude, did not get our order right ( how can you mess up order for small caesar salad and soup?) Told us they could not make a sandwich from menu as they did not have "the right bread" and could not fit to go pizzas in bags( too big for bags) - when they have fit EVERY OTHER TIME we ordered.
Enjoy JT most times, but not this visit.
Great food, excellent beer, awesome service. Perfect place to go before an event at the Honda Center.
Only problem was the restaurant did not have our reservation despite my Opentable confirmation!
