After some confusion entering the dining area for our reservation (entered side door into Bar) we were pointed in a confusing way to the Restaurant. There's not a hostess area persé but we stood where we noticed other diners waiting. Our waiter was great, food was visually awesome, tastes amazed and satisfied as we had a pre-fix 4 course meal. After the first course the evening went much better and felt like a special night as planned. Manger even dropped in to say hello and ask how things were. Thanks JSix for a fantastic meal.
I had a large, gloppy, delicious burger with crispy fries. Very good-sized - I couldn't finish it. My husband sampled two salads, one caesar-ish, one with warm beets. Excellent!
Tables are close together and there's an active bar, so this isn't the place for quiet conversation - fun, nonetheless.
Great place and food. Good Service and definitely will come back.
We came here for New Year's Eve and received JSix's Prix Fixe menu which cost $85 and consisted of snacks to share with the table, 2 courses, dessert and a glass of champagne. I really enjoyed the second course which was an ox tail pasta. The snacks were a hit and miss; some were good and others lacked flavor/seasoning. My entree was the grouper which was tasty, but the other guests had duck which seemed to be a better choice. I have been to JSix without a Prix Fixe menu and found I enjoyed the food a bit more.
We had the 4 course meal on new years eve. Portions were super small. My food was cold as it came out and bland. It took over 2 hours to receive this meal. My reservation was at 745 we finished close to 10pm. I waited so long in between courses, it was my husband's birthday and he asked to go to get Chinese takeout because we were still hungry. It was not even busy in the restaurant when we were seated so the excuse got me is gone. For a bill for 200.00 I was completely let done. Never coming back save your money.
Well to be fair we would have actually had the opportunity to eat the food in order to rate it. We had reservations for breakfast. We were seated rather quickly. Within minutes the waitress came over and rather rudely stated “just so you know it will be a 40 minute wait to get any food as we only have one person working in the kitchen”. No hello. No apology. My wife and I looked at each other and decided to leave. On the way out I mentioned to the manager that they probably shouldn’t accept reservations if they weren’t able to accommodate them. He told me that since we had reservations we wouldn’t have to wait that long for our food. Our experience was already ruined so we left. On the way back to our hotel we walked by a place called Brian’s 24 so we walked in with no reservations. Warm friendly greeting. Great service and great food. We’ll go there first next time.
Christmas Eve so very few patrons. Service was excellent and the food was very tasty but tepid. Not a lot of vegetarian options but locally sourced and well put together.
Not a bad restaurant but nothing like it used to be. I ordered the steak and fries. It was good. But I was just disappointed that the restaurant had changed so much since my last visit. We used to order "Chef's Mercy," a 5 course surprise tasting menu. I was disappointed that it is no longer offered. The new chef seems to specialize in Asian flavors. It really wasn't a bad restaurant, but it's too far out of my way to ever go back.
This was overall a very odd restaurant experience. It is a very nice ambience. We find a server to be seated as no one was at the hostess stand. Had to go get the bartender to order cocktails as the waitress was MIA. He said he only helps people with reservations ( which we had, and the restaurant was 70% empty). Food and drinks were not good. Ceviche was fishy and had to be sent back. Again had to get our waitress to get our check.

The food was delicious. Would go back again. Liked that the executive chef came out to see how everything was!
