JOY Asian Cuisine - Fantasy Springs Casino & Resort
Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Full menu available at bar. Takeout available.
Out for a special event on our anniversary
Very confused that if we had a reservation and they stick you in the bar...what good is a reservation? Waiter was just average. He seemed pre occupied! Food was very good! Not really into eating in a bar for dinner!!!
Best Asian food in the area...great service (ask for Deserè)....will definitely return....try the pepper beef or the sesame chicken.
Matt, the manager was extremely friendly and helpful. He made a few good dish recommendations that was really tasty.
Great Experience ! Great food, service & Ambiance-Thanks !
Much too cold!!!!
We had a very nice dinner at Joy this past weekend. The service was outstanding, truly the highlight of our meal experience. The ambiance was nice but the room was exceptionally noisy which detracted somewhat from the enjoyment of the meal. The meal was very good. I had the Sea Bass which was outstanding, my wide had the Korean sort ribs which were very good and our son had the duck which was fair at best. The duck has the obvious taste of being cooked, refrigerated, and re-heated. Were it not for this considerable faux pas, our meal would have received an excellent rating.
Last February, they lost our Valentine’s Day reservation (this was a phone reservation) and the manager sent us away as he said there was no way to get us a table as they were all booked up. We thought we would give them another try… I made an online reservation for 5:45pm for 2, a month ahead. Upon arrival, the manager (different manager from before) seated us in the bar. We asked to be seated in the dining room, but he stated those tables are reserved for parties of 4 or more. I saw 2 people sitting at one of the tables in the dining room. The manager told me they were soon leaving and I should have arrived sooner. Sooner? Really??? He said after they leave, that they would not seat tables of 2 in the dining room. So we were seated in the bar where the tables are very close together. The couple ( who made their reservation 2 months ahead) next to us expressed the same dissatisfaction that they were not seated in the main dining room. As a side note, the tables in the bar can be pushed together to accomadate 4 people. The entire bar was made up for only tables of 2. I found this to be discrimination. The food was good and our server excellent. But their rude front management team clearly only care about making money over customer service!
Felt like we were served left overs from a previous night. We had the sampler appetizer called the Joy Share Plate, Bi Bim Bap and the Peking Duck. The spare ribs on the share plate were tough, over cooked and bony. the pot stickers and spring rolls were very good. The duck was over cooked and dry. The Bi Bim Bap had very little meat but the vegetables were good and crunchy. We did not have dessert. The serving staff was excellent. We will not go back.
The service is great, and it’s absolutely the best Asian food in the south west.
Manager Matt Ma was friendly and professional. Waiter Nick was very good. Food was delicious. Decor and setting was pleasant.
Best Chinese food anywhere. Loved everything. Such a special dinner and incredible service
great food good service.
BEST asian food in the coachella valley hands down
Joy is by far THE BEST Chinese restaurant in the desert. Their food is innovative, fresh, well cooked and presented and always very tasty. We love Joy!
Best Asian Cuisine in the Desert. Portions were large and flavorful. Ambiance was outstanding.
Great food, again! Very tasty and their service was always there when you needed them!
Food is fabulous the noise level way to much for fine dining
The four of us had a great experience. The craft cocktail and other drinks were excellent. All our dinners met or exceeded our expectations. The staff was so friendly and efficient. We got in and out in time for our concert at the special events center. The ambiance is very nice, quiet enough and the decor is pretty.
We have been there many times, this time food was just OK, not sure if chef changed but food was not up to normal par.
It was a sold out at the hotel plus with the concert , it was the only restaurant we could get into.
Very loud and the tables are terrible!! You feel like the people next to you are in your lap.
We spent close to $275 for the two of us.
I wish I could say the value was worth it but nope.
They did bring my husband a slice of cake with a candle. The cake was so old and freezer burned, nope didn’t eat that
First of all I want to say that every time me and my lady go in there we get exceptional service and the people are always friendly. The food comes out fast and hot and perfect for a night out at the casino. You guys rock it and there for you have the #rockyard next door😉 always a pleasure dining at the joy.
Food was good however we ordered the egg rolls and there were only 2 pieces on the plate.. it looked like they served us what another table didn’t finish!
I was pleasantly surprised with the food at this restaurant. I wasn't able to secure a reservation at the upscale restaurant at the casino so I "settled" with this restaurant instead. ..was very pleased with the way everything returned out. Good selection of dishes on the menu. .all very tasty from our appetizers to our main dishes.
Hong Kong style lobster was delicious and fried rice with extra bean sprouts was done perfectly.
Great food and value. Will return!
The food was awesome, I will definitely be back with my family!
The entrees were all excellent!!!
Loved the fact that we were being tended to from the moment we hit the door. Top notch service and very tasty food. Ended up having a very sociable meal with strangers dining next to us. Very lovely but not aloof ambiance. Thanks for the start to a great evening.
Food was excellent... service was fine but they forgot our appetizer and one of our entrees.
Dinner before concert. I will do this again
Excellent cuisine and service. The food was reasonably priced. Staff was very accommodating. Will definitely go back.
A wonderful experience.
We will definitely be returning.
The restaurant really tries to make it a 5 star experience. The staff was attentive, willing to alter food to our needs, but one of the dishes was just too salty to enjoy. We have come from Borrego Springs for a special Asian dinner out of your community. It is always nice to be treated special but hope they can work on the dishes to be a bit more consistent.
This was a first time visit. It won't be the last! The atmosphere was subdued elegance and charming. The food was outstanding. Ordered Chinese, but can't wait to try the other Asian fare. The service was impeccable and the bill was quite reasonable. We will take friends with us next time.
W had yellow curry shrimp with vegetables, asparagus, and scallion pancakes. Food was definitely good but not really the best Chinese I have had in my life! Giant servings! Very positive messages in fortune cookies! Wine a bit pricy by the glass. Disappointed that there was no Japanese food on menu which included Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese dishes.
This was the first time of numerous visits that the food was below average. War Wonton soup was warm, not hot . We had three in our party and ordered two appetizers...rolls...there were two. We felt our waitress should have said something? We felt the prices were very high for them too.
The food was great and the service was outstanding. It is very dark in there which makes it hard to see the menu. But overall it was a great night. We would definitely go back.
This was our 2nd time at JOY and it did not disappoint. By far, our favorite Chinese restaurant in the Valley.
