JOY Asian Cuisine - Fantasy Springs Casino & Resort Ratings and Reviews
Well, finally a great place for Asian cuisine in this area. Having lived here for 16 years, I long ago gave up on getting anything other than mediocre Asian food. However, this restaurant, located inside Fantasy Springs casino was worth the trip to the East. We didn’t even gamble except on the food and we were big winners. It will quickly become one restaurant that joins a very small number of great places in the area.
One of our favorite and most frequented restaurants. Great for a romantic early dinner, show place for out of town visitors. Great customer service and ambience normally found at high end restaurants.
Menu offers good selection of asian cuisine that is never disappointing.
My friend and I have eaten at Joy a few times. This visit, while the food was good, the spicy cucumbers were not. The cucumbers were cut sloppily, and they were drowning in a very spicy sauce; very disappointing. There seems to be a language barrier as well.
So lucky to live in Indio and have Joy close by. It is by far the BEST chinese food you will ever have! Everything is incredibly fresh and portions are huge! The restaurant is beautiful and the service impeccable! The crispy lemon shrimp and/or chicken is amazing!!! You will not be disappointed.
We go to Joy a least 8-10 times a year. We live here in La Quinta all yea around. We brought friends last night and told them how good the food was. The food was cold including our soups. The waitress was terrible, she did not bring out the requested steamed rice and the extra sauce for my seafood dish until we had eaten 3/4 of our meal. I will try the restaurant once more, but if my experience is the same as last night I will never go there again or will never recommend it again.
I love this place! . Since It is kind of far a way from Cathedral City where I live . I don’t go that often as I want to . So every time I have an opportunity definitely I eat there . I wish the lighting was slightly better since is kind of dark and becomes difficult to read the menus . And hopefully they can add Blue Moon beer to the bar .
Great evening at Joy. Definitely best Asian food in the valley. A few of the food items could have been served hotter but all in all it was great. Pork spare ribs were amazing as well as General Tao’s chicken. Steamed dumplings are a must!
Great evening with great friends!
We had made a reservation and this was a Christmas dinner. Unfortunately we were not happy with the seating. We had wanted to be in the dining room but were seated across from the bar. This was a very busy area and noisy with people coming in from the outside to order take out. Not the ambiance we were looking for while eating a Christmas meal. The food and service were good. When we asked to be moved into the dining room, we were told it was full due to lunch running late. Not true, there were several empty tables. Again we did have a reservation.
Was disappointed in the food. Used canned vegetables as filler in Mongolian Beef. I’ve never had that before. Was raised on Cantonese food and this was an attempt at modern Cantonese.
Greasy pre-made frozen egg rolls. Hot & Sour soup was good. Fried rice no taste. My Friends’ mushroom pork was filled with bell peppers. Too many fillers/shortcuts in dishes, for the lovely atmosphere and excellent service.
Ambience and service was very good.
I told my brother and his girlfriend " let's go to one of the best Asian restaurant in the valley"
He said he's not fond of Asian food but his girlfriend is so we dragged him over anyways. Let me tell you, this is one of his favorite restaurant now. The food was delicious, everyone was friendly and great service.
Thank you Joy restaurant!!!
Delicious food. Best Asian Cuisine in the Coachella valley. Best by a mile. Love the service. Ambience. And worth traveling to from anywhere in the Coachella valley. A solid 10. From the hostesses in red to the mater dei to the wait staff. A shout out to Nick the server. Awesome guy!!
The fried rice was a little too mushy for me! The walnut prawns and green beans were delicious!!! I wouldn't take my kids though. I've been here many times before (no kids) enjoyed the quietness, without having a kid screaming the whole time while having dinner. Felt a little rushed by servers but he was nice and attentive!! I would be back though!!
