Masively loud! Food was ok not real special. Servise was great awesome waiter. Decor was pedestrian. Won't go back not earful but close.
Fun and delicious meal at one of our favorite restaurants. Made a reservation online after visiting several previous times and waiting 15-30 minutes for a table of 2. We were seated before our reservation time and already had our beers by 9:30pm and we heard other diners being quoted a 20 minute wait for a party of 2 before we were seated. We had a very nice server and she made the evening even more pleasant. We had the Barbie roll as an appetizer and the Bolgogi and shrimp Pad Thai for our entrees. Both were excellent as well and the sushi roll being the perfect selection for my boyfriend who doesn't like raw fish.
Good food but way too noisy. Portions adequate. Server did not ask us about spice & food was not spicy but was flavorful. We could not hear one another due to noise from kitchen competing with music & closeness of other customers.
Need to add some fabrics to decor to absorb sound.
The only good thing I could say is that the wait staff were friendly. The menu is very small, the food is way too spicy, even at 2 stars my lips and mouth were burning from the green curry chicken. The potstickers were great though. We asked for no tofu in the pad thai and it was ignored. The ambience is noisy, dont expect a romantic meal, with very little booths, the majority seating being tables close together. For the price, not worth it.
Pot stickers were doughy. Scallops and bulgigi we're done ok but neither dish really "popped!" Prices were ok - we won't go again
Sunny, our server was amazing and made our experience worthwhile!
We were a little underwhelmed with the sushi. Went out to celebrate a birthday. The rolls were small and not super amazing. I would stick to my small town sushi in Stanwood before I go here again.
Service was ok . Never ask how was our food .
Very noisy with waiter cleaning tables .
The restaurant was busy and noise level was high. Big portions but good was not very tasty. It was very boring and did not taste good.
I am a frequent visitor and always love Journeys. They recently updated menu (YAY!) and it was terrific. Go family style when you order and share the large portions so you can get a taste of everything. The service has been steadily good and only trouble has been using points from table games to pay.
The food here is delicious, but the noise level in the dining room is ridiculous. Even for being in a casino, the noise was uncomfortable. We're used to lively restaurants with an upbeat atmosphere, but this was just plain terrible. Please Improve the acoustics! The delicious food here deserves a pleasant atmosphere. It was like being in a loud Chucky Cheese! We couldn't leave soon enough. That's unfortunate, given the quality of the food.
Now on my forth trip back and they never disappoint... simply awesome.
Love the food excellent I would come back and I will be back
The food and service are always amazing. I have been there 3 times and it's always just so good.. I hidden gem in the Tulalip Casino.
Excellent meal served by the best waitress Irene who made our visit a memorable one.
The whole experience was great and food is always very good. The staff is very friendly and service is always quick and very personal.
AWESOME FOOD & SERVICE!!
What a GEM in the heart of Smokey Point Washington!!
As usually the food was very tasty. Irene, our staff person was friendly and professional. There was a bit of a problem with the expediting the orders, but management stepped in and brought it back on track. They also came to the tables and apologized.
I'd recommend eating hear, we have tried a number of the appetizers, entrees and sushi and have yet to have a bad meal.
We have been to Journey's East many times, and it never disappoints. The butterflied prawns appetizer and Green Curry Chicken is amazing, is pretty much everything else on the menu. No matter what you order, it will be amazing!
Tulalip gets thumbs-up for Journeys East. The restaurant updates its menu from time to time, and has recently expanded its hours to include lunch and Dim Sum Sunday mornings. We love dim sum so we order mostly off the Appetizer section (and some nigiri), with our favorites being the Siu Mai and the Tempura Shrimp.
The food is brought to the table as soon as it's ready rather than the entire order coming all at once. Also, the restaurant is very bright in terms of lighting and very noisy.
Our waiter was the best - on the spot, very attentive, professional. All you could ever expect a waiter should be and then some! On my online reservation, I indicated this was 22nd anniversary. He and several other waiters congratulated us. At meal's end, he brought a complementary ice cream desert, candle and all!
The staff greeting us on arrival were not friendly and attempted to give us a poor location, we rejected their second attempt and our WAITER moved us to a nice spot.
We went to Journeys East before a Friday night concert at the Tulalip Amphitheater. Our waiter, Sunny, was so pleasant. He was quick to wait on us and took care to tell us about the food we were ordering. We were given the option of paced courses or all at once as the dishes were preared. The food came all at once. The food was delicious and beautiful.
This is one of mine and my husband's favorite restaurants to go to! We LOVE the food and the staff is amazing!!
The first time you walk in, you're immediately greeted by the host, so very courteous. Then you are seated the server greets you and puts your drink order in so you have time to look at their menu selection. Without a doubt mostly all their food are delicious arranging for Chinese, Thai & Korean. At the end of your meal you are content with your dinner experience & will remember this restaurant on your next visit to Tulalip Casino.
Valentine is s terrific server.
We really enjoyed our meal but they should instal some noise reduction panels.
The place was so loud you could barely visit. The food was quite good but ambiance sucks!
Manager was very kind and went above and beyond to make our anniversary special.
The food at Journeys East is consistently good, the service is outstanding, and the noise level is high. They have changed their menu since the last time we ate here (several months ago), which I always think is a good sign. We generally order some nigiri and a few appetizers (love the shrimp tempura!). The food arrives in no particular order, they bring it out when it's ready.
We would love to see a dish of plain vanilla ice cream as an option on the dessert menu.
The restaurant is now open for lunch several days a week, and offers a Sunday dim sum menu (no carts). We are so glad to see they've expanded into lunchtime.
We enjoyed our selections, and they didn't taste like there was excessive monosodium glutamate.
Walk into an open floor & kitchen. Their friendly service there, you will remember. The food I've ordered and tasted are flavorful with a variety of ethnic food from Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese & Korean. This place will fill your mouth with comforting & savory dishes of food. We loved the atmosphere & ambiance.
Restaurant was extremely noisy. Dishes clattering and people talking did not lead to a nice experience. The waitress acted like she didn't want to be there. Would not recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Server was nice. Food was good. Drinks took 25 min and manager did not care.
Foods are very testy
Every time we gamble at the Tulalip Casino we stop by Journeys East for dinner. It's a given.
We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The walnut shrimp are the best I've ever had.
Will journeys east please bring back the Japanese cheese cake. My wife and I fell in love with it
Will not eat there again, even if the food is comped.
Really good service until the end took a while to pay, and could have used one more drink refill. Food was amazing and fast. Scallops were really fresh and cooked perfectly. Server was very friendly, great about asking is how we wanted our meal courses out. Good fresh sushi.
We have eaten here before. This trip we had miso soup, sushi and a dessert. The soup was fine. The sushi was tiny, fairly plain and came with a total of about 6 pieces for two orders. The dessert was interesting. For a casino restaurant it was OK for a quick bite to eat, but nothing spectacular at all. One nice thing, you can pull up open table on your phone and make a reservation while you are playing in the casino. I'm always amazed at people who wait 1-2 hours for a table.
The Vietnamese Roll appetizers are super. The Honey Shrimp entrée is my favorite.
