Loved it! Our waitress was excellent.
Joule is a standout! Food was excellent! Service was efficient end casual. The spicy rice cakes with chorizo was outstanding! The Joule Box dessert was surprisingly delicious! Can’t wait to go back!
The short ribs are divine. Definitely worth a trip for these alone! Cute spot.
All of our dishes were amazing and the service was excellent! We were very pleased that the restaurant management makes it very clear not to dine there unless you have been vaccinated. Our outside patio reservation had a two hour limit that was very definite. Our server let us know when we had fifteen minutes left so there wasn’t time for dessert. However she did return to tell us that she could move us to another table inside the restaurant if we wanted to stay for dessert. We opted to go somewhere else.
Dining at Joule is one of the best experiences you can have in Seattle. The staff it courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. They are also very accommodating. This particular night, we were fortunate enough to dine on amazing food prepared by Rachel Yang and her insanely talented team. Perfect, perfect, perfect.
Food and service was fantastic. Sat in the patio - which was heated and well-covered.
I never really do these reviews, but I wanted to give feedback to help out consumer and the restaurant. For a fine dining category, this place was a 1/10, which serves standard Asian food that tastes similar to any Asian mom & pop shop that charge way less.
It was disappointing to see that the best seller was a rice cake dish that I would much rather go to Korean Tofu House on University Way for.
I've ate at other James Beard nominated and semi finalist restaurants, which held up to the reputation I would expect. But Joule really tarnishes the James Beard brand by essentially selling typical Asian food to a White dominate customer base that has no idea what good Asian food is. I really felt scammed.
The food at Joule was amazing. Everything was perfectly prepared, and the dishes were creatively thought out. The flavors were out of this world!
Joule is certainly a jewel of a restaurant! We ate there on our final evening in Seattle, and we definitely saved the best for last. We loved our table next to the fire pit on the lovely outdoor patio, and the interior of the restaurant is also well-designed. We were served by Brandie, who was so kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and just lovely in every way! Thank you for such a special evening, Brandie!
The Rupert’s Escape passion fruit cocktail was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. For food, we loved the scallion pancake, spicy rice cakes, (incredible!) short ribs, and cauliflower. All of it was amazing—unique flavors, wonderful textures…truly a fantastic meal!
The service was fantastic, and our server was great at recommending some delicious dishes.
The eggplant wontons were very unique, and I highly recommend getting them.
The bavette steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauce that came with it was amazing.
We sat outside on the covered patio, and it was very cozy and a lovely ambiance with a fire pit behind us. Highly recommend!
Each dish had it's own flavor profile and it felt like a great way to get outside of the normal "date night" menu. The service was fabulous. Our waitress was decisive in helping us narrow down the 10 dishes we wanted to try to the egg vegetable appetizer, halibut with asparagus, sausage and rice cake dish, and Chinese broccoli. Next time, I'm definitely going for the red meat!
The food was paced really nicely, it was flavorful and well prepared. We tried several of their signature dishes and were not disappointed - we can see why they are favorites. Wait staff is friendly and knowledable about menu and wine pairings. We were seated in the patio area. my only comment is for the waitress to find a mask that stayed on her nose better, so she didn't have to keep adjusting it.
Plenty of unique food options - all delicious and it's hard to go wrong!
Loved it. Our server was amazing, super friendly, accommodating and informative. They described every dish we had questions about to help us make the best choices. We went for a birthday and they even put a little candle in her dessert so we could celebrate. Food and cocktails were delish, loved that it was tapas/family style too so I could try a little of everything 🥰
The staff texted us several times until a reservation became available last minute. Couldn’t be nicer. Food was fantastic. Bone marrow was a special hit. Can’t wait to return
Really awesome Asian fusion flavors, so delicious as always. We sat outside by the fire pit. Lovely ambiance with friendly service, enjoyed watching the open kitchen chefs cook our meals with joy and passion. The menu felt shorter since the pandemic but what they had was super fresh and cooked to perfection.
We shared with cocktails, I had the Finally Summer Sangria and my husband the Jalisco Canpfire which was amazing, it tasted and smelt like you were really by a campfire and so delicious! For the four of us, we then shared the starters Scallion Pancake and the Spicy Rice Cake…which is amazing as always, with the spicy chorizo pieces in their moreish sauce, the yummy chewy rice cakes…hmmmm! Then for our mains we had all four beef dishes, “That” Short Rib Steak, Prime Bavette, Burger, and the Grass Fed Ribeye. All four of them were flavored and cooked to absolute perfection but my personal favorites tastes were the short ribs steak and the ribeye, those flavors were so memorable…still keep thinking about the taste! Just love this restaurant so much and is probably my most favorite restaurant in Seattle.
Though the ingredients are fresh, however, the food are oily and too salty.
Amazing service and food. We shared several dishes with 4 adults and were blown away with each one. The burger is arguably one of the best I’ve ever had, and the spicy rice cakes are unreal! Lovely dinner. We will be back.
Amazing food, really inventive. Ask for Brandy as your server—she’s the best!!!
Tiny portions and very overpriced
Absolutely delicious! Really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the wonderful service. Highly recommend!
Food and service was delicious. Main concern was the music choice and noise levels (i.e. fairly loud hardcore hip hop). Not on par with the type of restaurant and food served.
Welcoming staff, amazing food, and warm atmosphere made our celebration all the more enjoyable. I’ll be going back
Food was creative and divine.
Wonderful & so flavorful- enjoyed so much. Came from out of town and wish we could keep coming back to try everything on the menu!
Great food and vibe!
I loved this restaurant. As someone who grew up eating Korean food, I'm always a little skeptical of Asian fusion food. Joule does a beautiful job of bringing in the flavors of Asian food while elevating it in surprising ways. The food was incredible, the space is really beautiful, and the drinks were great! The spicy rice cakes and "that" short rib steak were my favorites!
I visited from out of town and hope to return again soon!
Super yummy, fresh cocktails and the food was delicious. Recommend the shrimp starter and spicy rice cakes.
Amazing food and service. Your wine list is absolute trash. I'm all for supporting local purveyors, but there needs to be at least one old world offering by the glass.
Great food and people. Nice use of flavors. Highly recommend!
Food was excellent. Appreciated the attention to detail and recommendations.
The food was great but the seating was very poor. The tables were very close together and where I was sitting I had the sun beaming in on me. It was very uncomfortable and was resolved at my own initiative (I proposed bringing out another chair and changing the layout of the seating).
Great meal! Loved the ambience. All the small plates looked delicious. Will have to come back to try the others.
The restaurant is overrated. The portions are small for the price for each dish. There was a heat wave in Seattle the day we ate there. There were not even fans in the restaurant and the water they served was room temperature with no ice. It was noisy and we could hear every word spoken at the tables next to us.
Every dish we ordered was scrumptious and our server was very knowledgeable.
The food was exceptional, on par with some of the best restaurants we have enjoyed. The octopus was so tender and the Mackerel was superb. Each bite was perfection from the bone marrow and rice cakes to that short rib steak. I didn’t want dinner to end!
What a find!
Delicious, fresh ingredients-- inventive food. Kind and conscientious service.
Food and cocktails were delicious and creative. Wonderful blend of flavors. Excellent quality.
Lovely place. The smoked tofu dish was so good I’m going to be craving it from now on, which is unfortunate because I don’t live in Seattle. The shrimp dish was also insanely good, as were the cocktails. The beef was a tad chewy but still pretty good. Very nice staff.
