What Insiders Are Saying
Have your next group dinner at Joule, the Korean steakhouse in Wallingford. The huge menu has enough options to keep everyone happy.
Waitress was not pleasant at all. Food was good but not great. Did not match the high praise in my opinion.
It was hot and the sun was in my eyes...even though we were sitting inside. Everything else we amazing.
That steak with Kalbi and kimchi. Is bomb!! The bartender is cool as well
They take a creative approach to their dishes and execute with high quality. We enjoyed exploring almost everything on the menu. Service was excellent.
Dined at Joule for partner's birthday. We had not eaten here in a long time and thought we'd revisit. We had always enjoyed it in the past. The food is not as good as I remember. The roasted cauliflower was bland. The beef tartare was fine, if on the small side. I wished it came with some toast or crackers. The geoduck fried rice was the best thing we ate. Partner wanted the duck, which would not have been my choice. Few restaurants make duck breast exciting. Joule's was no different. It was okay, a small portion with a salty escabeche accompaniment. The wait between each dish seemed on the long side. Frankly we were disappointed in this restaurant we used to love.
Service and food were amazing!
Superb as always. The buffet is to DIE for. Looking forward to next visit.
Every dish and drink was spectacular and the service was great
The dining experience was fine, except the restaurant was very, very noisy. We had to ask the 3 gentlemen at the next table to please not shout.
Food was ok service poor apps came out after main course. 1st and last time going
Fabulous food beautifully presented. Excellent, knowledgeable service. Noise level very high. Best items were unique takes on Korean classics -- especially the Kalbi.
The food was wonderful but would have been complemented better in a quieter ambience.
Server was great. Food was pretty great but rice cakes were a little over-sauced or something. Could have used a water bottle on the table. However, overall a very nice time.
Everyone in the party enjoyed their food. As always the buffet had a lovely selection of different flavors to try. The music was too loud and even though we asked the waitress to turn it down it wasn't.
Really good food and service. In Seattle first time. Went based on recommendation. Definitely worth it.
The food at the Joule, as always, was phenomenal. My favorites are the Beef Tartar, Bone Marrow and Spicy Rice Cakes. New additions to the menu are also very good.
Service this time was a little off, but over all good. We had to ask for plates between some of the courses where we have not had to do that before.
Overall, always a favorite place to eat!!!!
Three days later my husband and I still can’t quit talking about how incredible the flavor combinations were in EVERY dish we tried👍
We have told everyone we talk to that they have to go try it. We can hardly wait to get back and try more dishes until we’ve covered the whole menu 😃🍽 The service was absolutely incredible. And we loved the simple, fun Decour and sitting out in the open air by the fire 🔥.
Fantastically delicious and different food. Cool ambience. Good service. Open kitchen.
Food was absolutely delicious, though a bit on the pricier side for the area. The waiter I had was attentive and very friendly. I was torn between two menu items and asked for his recommendation, and he gave me a more detailed description of each item and told me his favorite between the two. I took his recommendation (the roasted cauliflower), and it was fantastic! Definitely would go back again and tell friends to check it out.
Lovely bites. Our lumpia was not hot on the inside, but very flavorful Casey was great!
Amazing restaurant with great food, cocktails and wine selection. The atmosphere was warm and exciting. The open kitchen was fun to watch and it showed the dedication to their craft. Worth the trip!!!
We went to Joule for a birthday celebration. I notified the server that I did not eat gluten. He told me the dish to avoid was the tofu because it had soy sauce which is made from wheat. I ordered the duck. When it came out there was what appeared to be corn bread... it was not. I ate a bite and discovered it was bread. This was not noted on the menu and he did not inform me when I ordered the dish. I told him and he pretty much rolled his eyes at me. Overall, I feel he was semi rude to me.
With all that being said the food was mostly amazing. Cheers to the chefs!
I think they could label the items without gluten to make it easier for their customers. Also, a few more vegan options would be nice.
Very tasty, especially the black sesame noodles. The wine pairing suggested by the waitress was quite bad but apart from that we had a great experience. The steaks were cooked to perfection!
The food is above average. My wife really like their seared duck breast, and I Ike the octopus better.
Too good. Best restaurant in Seattle.
Each dish was a delight. Our server was spot on with recommendations. A great experience.
Typically, for a Sunday brunch, you would expect the availability of food to be steady for a brunch as opposed to ordering from a menu. No less than on a Sunday especially when brunch is offered. Along with many of the other patrons, there was a period of time where the brunch/buffet table was empty, and it took awhile to have the new dishes brought out. I know other patrons to the right and left of our table were also wondering when new dishes would be brought out. At least on two to three occasions, the waiter was asked when there would be more dishes. I was disappointed because this was our first time coming here, and we came because it was supposed to have good reviews. But seriously, you cannot run out of food on a Sunday if you are offering Sunday brunch as your main option.
Perfection. Made my birthday!
My favorite Seattle restaurant. Every dish is absolutely fantastic!
There was not a single drink, dish or comment/recommendation from our server that wasn't spot on. True, for our second round of beer a different local hefe came out, but it was just as good as the lager we had for the first round. We all left a little embarrassed that we hadn't been to Joule before now!
Always love Joule!
Amazing food! It was a defiantly a little loud and hard to hear because we were in a large group. Our server was not great though. Instead of suggesting doing family style she insisted on it in a pretty aggressive way. When we decided not to do family and do individual plates she rolled her eyes and insisted we all get starts to share because no way are mains would all come out at the same time but the food was pretty quick and did come out at the same time for being a busy Saturday night. It was just sorta odd. But it was amazing food and defiantly worth going back.
Second time coming here and every dish was better than the one before. Outstanding creativity and flavors. One of the best meals we have had in ages and we eat out a lot!
Food is always amazing and service was attentive but not obtrusive. They were great about being kind to my 2 boys, even though it was a typical date night.
The food was fantastic. The experience did not match the price of the meal. The wine was not good at all, the waitstaff had a very uncohesive, scattered appearance that really made you regret the amount of money you were about to spend. All of it made the taste and quality of the food seem likely to disappoint, especially when one considers that the neighboring restaurant offered a much more serene and tailored and relaxing experience. If it were me, I'd put my staff in uniforms and crack down on the multicolored hair. Then I'd dim the lights. And get a wine list that's more curated and about 1/4 the amount of options. And I'd throw out the rotting flowers at the hostess stand. The food was delicious but I'd never eat there again because I don't want to experience that much noise / annoying personalities at that price again.
Family style sharing is an awsome way to have a memorisable date! Highly recommended
Nice atmosphere and interesting fusion of flavors, but prices are a bit high for the portions.
Had a delightful dinner. Food was great and service was warm and welcoming.
Our favorite was the rice cake - good, strong flavor, as well as the kalbi steak. The mackerel was disappointing - can't taste the green curry. Kaya butter could have been more intense - I am from Singapore where kaya toast is a national dish. The black sesame was a nice mix
Great service, and great brunch. Love the different monthly themes for the buffet. Highly recommend.
