Love the decor. The service and food were excellent. They make a proper martini (chocolate). Would highly recommend.

I have been many many many times, if you like grilled fish and a unique atmosphere, you will not be disappointed. Some restrictions due to covid but still well worth it.

When you dine at Joso’s, there’s no more turning back. Glorious crustacean delights!

We had a family meal at the restaurant. The waiters were very helpful and accommodating. They brought reading glasses for my father and had real menus as opposed to QR codes. I think this adds a touch of class. The food was amazing. Fresh and delicious and tasty. Generous portions. We shared salad and fried calamari as appetizers and shared squid ink spaghettini (delicious but kind of messy) and the fish of the day. Everything was perfect and the wine list is excellent as well. Highly highly recommend Joso’s.

This is our 3rd time at Joso's. I had a special request for my wife's birthday. Paul called me in advance and accommodated my request. Our dinner experience was spectacular as usual specially the whole fish. Paul and his crew did a fantastic job in making our evening memorable. Thank you for a great evening. We will be bck!!

The risotto was incredible. We also really enjoyed the sea bass and scorpion fish. One of our party had a birthday and the restaurant included some nice pastry to go. Eclectic decor too.

Food was decent but didn’t live up to the hype. Our server was not friendly at all. Not a high end experience.

Excellent food and service. Plates are smaller so you can mix and match. Our server was super friendly and helped us to choose from the menu as it was our first time there. Great ambience. We will be back.

Great ambiance and very accommodating staff. I had the grilled octopus which was delicious but I would have liked for it to come with an accompaniment such as veggies. Other than that I was very pleased with my experience at Joso’s.

Transcendent dining experience at this Toronto institution. The food was phenomenal, the service impeccable, and the ambience/vibe/interiors are unlike any restaurant I’ve ever dined in in Toronto. Just the exceptional seafood and history of the place alone would be enough but it is a stand-out experience all around. Cannot recommend enough. Imbued with the warmth, charm, and character of Joso, the original owner, the sense of place here is unparalleled. The interiors and decor require their own tour, as the place is almost like a museum or a shrine to Joso and his family. Don’t forget to check out the walls plastered with photos of celebs who have dined there over the years. Truly an impressive place. It’a a must-try for those who are nostalgic for the Toronto of yesteryear and dining establishments with heart and roots in their community.

Special occasion - the best fish and seafood in Toronto. Wonderful friendly staff. Highly recommend Josos for a memorable experience.

Joso's is a brilliant bistro.

A wonderful selection of seafood, shiny and bright, with only a touch of ocean/lake smell. It is expensive because seafood is expensive and what is served, is perfection on a plate. I was talking with a college student and suggested she go to Joso's and share a seafood appetiser with a friend or have a tiramisu or crème brule, both incredibly beautiful and lovely on the palate.

We went to Joso's to celebrate a birthday, and it was the by far the best dinner we have ever had. The seafood was extremely fresh, and the service was excellent. Though it is a bit pricey, I would definitely go again, and it is a top location I will always consider for special occasions.

This unique and intimate restaurant full of one of a kind art pieces is as close as I can get to dining in Europe and being able to hand pick my own freshly caught fish on ice from the kitchen....but here it’s brought to your table to choose from. Excellent quality and service.

What can you say? Simply prepared, excellent food in a vibrant, invigorating yet intimate atmosphere. If you like seafood, THIS is the place to experience it fresh and simply adorned. Knowledgeable, gracious wait staff. We relish the coziness of the dining rooms and the spectacle of Joso's art and sculpture adorning the walls and shelves. If you like your fish, fresh, grilled and dressed with only olive oil and salt, you won't be disappointed here. The fish does all the talking...not fancy sauces. Lightest fried calamari we've ever had, served with the house made hot sauce...spectacular. We shared a beautiful, simple arugula salad. Pastas perfectly cooked and flavored. Octopus..divine. Don't miss the tiramisu or the delectable almond cookies with a cappuccino for dessert! We will be back...again...and again..and again.

Best sea food in the city, staff are excellent. This restaurant is predictably wonderful. If you like energy this is the place.
