Joshua Wilton House
Tuesday - Saturday : 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Very nice out if the way dining with great food and services. Will absolutely return. Not good for children.
We had a very enjoyable Sunday brunch. Food and service were excellent.
Appreciated that hostess put us in a quiet room near window.
The food was fantastic! The service was great. It can be pricey though. I recommend going on a Tuesday. They do a special date night. Appetizer, entree and split a dessert for $35 each. The food is definitely worth it.
Great food service and atmosphere!
Joshua Wilton never disappoints - always a consistently excellent meal and service.
I excellent restaurant for a date with soft lights and quiet room. Great food and service. Experience fine dinning diners will absolutely love the experience.
Took my wife here for our anniversary and was blown away. From the cocktail in the lounge to a wonderful dinner and great service it was well worth the price for a special dinner. They even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert plate which ended the night perfectly. Thanks to the team at Joshua Wilton house!!
We celebrated our anniversary...it was just perfect! Wonderful service with special touches. We’ll definitely be back!
I think that this is a great place for a dinner our. Great food and great service
Food and service was excellent. Our server was friendly and helpful! Tables were very close together, so while the setting was intimate in a nice way, we also heard all the details from the conversation of the couple on a date seated beside us.
This is the third visit to Joshua Wilton House. We have consistently enjoyed the food and service. The menu is limited , The food is prepared excellently
We love this place. We’ve never been disappointed. If you’ve never been, give them a try.
Perfect night out. Food was more than fantastic. Execution of food was the best. Quality of food top notch. wonderful sauces. Best duck ever ! So tender and flavorful.
Service impeccable. Pleasant server who was very informative. Always there for you needs and not over solicitous.
Amazing. Well worth every penny we spent and looking forward to the next visit to Harrisonburg just because of this Inn.
This was the third time I've been to the Joshua Wilton House, and each time has been a wonderful experience. The dining rooms are beautiful, and the bar is cozy, the service discreet, warm and efficient, and the food is delicious and creative. My favorite restaurant.
Excellent food and good service
Service from Jake was phenomenal as was each dish he brought out. My wife and I went for date night and they made us feel special and gave great recommendations.
Upon visiting our Daughter for Easter we wanted a nice place to go with our family for Easter Brunch and this was a great choice. Friendly and efficient staff and delicious food for a fair price. We will be returning in the future!
Really nice place. Great food. Impeccable service.
Terrific food and service as usual
Visiting our son in college, took our other children & 2 of his friends to restaurant on recommendation from a friend. Found it to be truly lovely. Food was delicious, a little higher priced than we usually do, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience & felt it was worth the splurge.
My wife and I had excellent meals here last week. It was Date Night, which meant we could get a 3-course meal for $35 each. I had the pear salad and filet, my wife had the house salad and scallops, and we both had the flour-less chocolate cake. A great meal in a classy, quiet setting with great service. Perfect for special occasions.
We had lovely evening. It is definitely a place to dine and enjoy the evening. The food and service were superb
Excellent service and food. Jake provided excellent services, as usual!
Once again, dinner at the Joshua Wilton House was outstanding and we had a wonderful evening. The food was prepared perfectly and the wine was excellent. Service was superb.
We saw this place when visiting Harrisonburg several years ago, and so when we found ourselves staying over after a weekend visit to the mountains, we made a reservation. It is a beautiful and well-preserved old mansion on the town's main street with several intimate dining rooms. We sere served by a charming and very knowledgeable young woman. The menu was reasonably creative and there was am extensive wine list (but with few Virginia wines). We each had opening courses, a mushroom bisque for me and mussels for my friend. They were excellent. The entrees were a bit disappointing. My filet mignon was rather tough and served with a gluey potato dish best left off the plate. She had a duck breast, nicely prepared and served boned and whole but with a chewy, undercooked topping of kale that, too, would best have been left in the kitchen. With the help of our waitperson we found a good red wine from a nearby producer. Without other drinks or desert we paid $135 plus a tip.
This wasn’t our first time and won’t be our last. Excellent as always.
Unbelievable service, delicious unusual cuisine. Always fresh and presented beautifully.
Great meal and excellent service!
Still the best food in Harrisonburg. Would have given 5 stars again, but our server was a bit lacking this night. Forgot the amuse-bouche to start the dinner.
Service and food were excellent. Would recommend for special occasions or nice dinner.
We had another great brunch with friends who are new to the area. The shrimp and grits special was wonderful.
Food was exceptional. Service was great although it took a while for drinks at the beginning of the meal and wine wasn’t brought until after the entree was served.
Wish I could eat here every day!
Food was amazing, I had the Duck and my wife had the Fillet Mignon. This was our second time coming and was much more impressed with the food than the first visit. Atmosphere is nice and quiet great for a date night. We will definitely be going back, next time will be to try out the brunch.
Fantastic food for a great value. Best food I have had in Harrisonburg.
Always a wonderful experience; food, service and atmosphere!
Great food and service in a lovely setting. Wide number of Handcrafted cocktails which we all found very tasty. Fish was outstanding as was the soup and the pork belly appetizer. A bit pricy but worth it.
A third visit for my wife and I, and another great experience. It's rare when a place continues to meet expectations from past occasions, but JW did. Food, service, table, all was good. We will give them another try on our next visit to the Valley.
We went to the Wilton House for our anniversary. The service and settings were great. We had a great quail appetizer, followed by filet mignon main course. Fun and neat presentations, great cuts of meat, accompanying veggies great too! We were really appreciative of out desserts having "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate in chocolate syrup. The server was attentive and accommodated our needs expertly. We had a nice table with a view of main street! We will be back!
