Located in an elegantly restored Victorian home in historic downtown Harrisonburg, the Joshua Wilton House is a bed & breakfast and fine dining destination. Executive Chef Tom French uses high quality ingredients sourced from the Shenandoah Valley to create a seasonal menu highlighting our local products . The full service bar includes signature cocktails, craft beers and an award-winning wine list. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outdoor brick patio. In the winter time, warm up in our lounge next to one of the original wood burning fireplaces and enjoy a cocktail before your meal.     If you are looking for simple elegance and food prepared fresh and uniquely inspired and delicious look no further. Joshua Wilton House is the place. The only negative which is not earth shattering, the bar was backed up so it took some time for the cocktails to arrive. However, they did arrive right when the appetizer was served so good timing and no biggie. Bravo to Harrisonburg for having such a lovely classy dining experience!

    There are many wonderful places to eat in Harrisonburg. The best one, by far, is The Joshua Wilton House. It is always the highlight of our visit.

    We had reserved patio seating but when we got there it looked like a storm was coming so we were seated inside. It was still a lovely evening with our family. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely have dinner at this restaurant again!

    The food was outstanding - creative and perfectly presented. We liked especially that the menu is locally sourced from the surrounding farming community wherever possible. Our server Nina was very professional, polite and helpful. We will definitely be back!

    We found the Joshua Wilton House restaurant to be a surprisingly beautiful experience. The food was superb. The service was more than excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for our 49th anniversary dinner. We will definitely be going back.

    Creative dishes well-executed using local and select ingredients, very attentive service, great beverage choices including house-made hazelnut liqueur. Golden tilefish over Parisian gnocchi and broccoli, strawberry peppercorn cheesecake. One of the best reasons to go out, to eat dishes you would not make yourself. Continues to be the best restaurant in the valley.
