The adjustment and care taken to meet COVID-19 regulations for dining outside were evident. The staff was conscientious, careful, and also so happy that people had returned to dine out. Diners wore masks to their table and if they had to use facilities inside. Staff wore masks, and gloves and changed the gloves regularly. It was lovely outside and the food was delicious. It was a great way to resume eating out for us! Toward the end of our meal, the owner came out and thanked people for coming.

Excellent food with exceptional service.

We love the new bistro menu and are so happy you are open again for outdoor dining! The pan seared scallop risotto, lobster roll (CT style), frisee salad, truffle fries, Prince Edward Island mussels and steak frites were excellent! The wine, beer and cocktail menu offer wonderful options and the chocolate mousse is definitely worth every calorie. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to come back!

This was a curbside pickup meal resulting from the need to close the restaurant to seated dining. So much of this survey is irrelevant. But my wife and I had reservations for tonight to celebrate our anniversary and we wanted to support a fine local establishment in these unique and trying times. We’re looking forward to an in-house dining experience when normal times return.

Joshua Wilton House was very understanding about our decision to use the take-out option given the situation with the Coronavirus. The food was excellent, as well as the curbside delivery. We look forward to dining there again some day soon!

We were in town for vacation, staying at a nearby resort. Joshua Wilton House was excellent! Worth a visit for sure.

Food was good, but very small portions. Atmosphere was for doctors, lawyers and college professors, not ordinary people. Have gotten better service at several local restaurants that didn't cost nearly as much

This is our third visit in the last 6 months and each meal has been innovative, well-prepared, and delicious. The wine pairing for Restaurant Week was very successful. The decor feels staid, but there is a great art exhibition project in place. Lastly, the service is excellent. JWH has hit its stride again and it is the best restaurant in town. Please stop in and bring a friend!

Beautiful place with excellent food and service. It is high end and expensive as Harrisonburg restaurants go, but it is well worth it for a special occasion or just to treat yourself. We’ve always enjoyed the Joshua Wilton House.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Joshua Wilton, first time time there. Splendid time overall. Planning on returning for another meal.

Awesome setting, fabulous food and excellent service. Our server, Jenn, was super attentive but not smothering. Food was superb but not overly pretentious. Ambiance was excellent but our only complaint was that the background music (oldies 50's-70's) was a bit too loud for this venue. Unquestionably, the best restaurant in Harrisburg.

My husband and I have been lucky enough to go to some of the best restaurants in the world. The food at Joshua Wilton is right up there with these restaurants. The service was outstanding and the ambience - lovely. We can't believe that this little gem in hidden in Harrisonburg, Va.!

We come to the Joshua Wilton House to eat whenever we are in Harrisonburg. The place is lovely and the meal, drinks and service never disappoint. To my knowledge this is the only fine dining restaurant here. I highly recommend it

As a Valentines Day present to my girlfriend, I brought her to Joshua Wilton House. I had been myself over the years and was familiar with the high quality. This was my girlfriend’s first time. I couldn’t have asked for a better introductory experience. From the cocktails in that wonderfully cozy lounge to the food and ambience of our meal. She said her filet mignon was the best she had tasted.

Wow, what a great experience. We loved every aspect of the experience. The food is phenomenal and he staff was spectacular. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

We have dined at Joshua Wilton House many times over the past years. We are pleased to say that the quality of the food and service has always been excellent. In our opinion it remains one of the top fine dining experiences of the Valley. Whenever we have family or friends visiting from afar, we try to bring them to the Joshua Wilton House , so we can brag about the area we live in.

Unbelievable service by Ben. Hostess Gracen was very informative of restaurant and B&B. Bar tender Summer was accommodating and adjusted my drink (Mike special) to my liking. Over all an A+ and will return everytime we are in town..

The place was cozy and elegant. Being our anniversary, we were seated in a nook away from other tables, which was nice. The cream of mushroom soup was fantastic and my wife's Salmon was cooked perfectly. My scallops were slightly undercooked for my taste, however, the goat cheese cheesecake was a great ending to the meal. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.
