Always excellent. The owner, folks who work here, are always lovely. The food is consistent, and they have a very wide range of menu options, flexible for allergies, vegans, gluten free, you-name-it.

We have been to Jose's several times. Usually the environment is quite energetic but due to COVID, it was pretty quiet. The food, as always, was delicious and we enjoyed sangria as well. We felt safe eating there - it was clean. (Something that's important in the time of COVID...)

We ordered chicken tamales with mole, and tacos cochinita pibil. My husband is Mexican, and said his food was really good. Mine was too! The restaurant also did a very good job with social distancing and other safety measures.

My friends and I loved our outdoor dining experience at Jose's! The tables were a safe distance apart from other diners, the food came quickly and was delicious (great vegetarian options as well), and the margaritas were quite big. We will definitely be coming back.

It was so great to be back at Jose's. We had to make 2 separate reservations because our number exceeded 6 at one table. Food was delicious. Margarita's are the best to be found anywhere. Service was wonderful. We all had a great night!

The servers were so friendly and accommodating. I reserved seating online but didn't realize outside seating wasn't guaranteed, but the waiters were great and got us seated quickly outside despite it being a Friday night. The tables were spaced well and everything felt safe. Plus the food was great, will definitely be back!

We sat outside, on their small patio, facing the street and ordered margaritas, which were great! It was a very pleasant evening and the surrounding area was quite peaceful. Our new favorite place in Cambridge.

The place was unclean, tables and floors both. Food was terrible. Steak and ground beef tasted old and dry and overcooked. The server was very nice.

Jose's Restaurant is an authentic Mexican place. You will homey. The food is delicious, and the portions are big. Cocktails were amazing and the ceviche was great. You will listen to people talking Spanish, and will definitely feel a Latin American vibe.

We did not like our server. Will not be going back.

The food was really terrible and expensiv. Very very greasy flautas, and undercooked sopes. The only good thing was the guacamole and the hot sauce. her margaritas were ok, not great. The waitresses were cool.

Jose’s was phenomenal! Most authentic Mexican I’ve experienced in Boston. I’m from Denver, CO that boasts a lot of great Mexican food so it’s a welcome sight to have found such a great spot! The margs are amazing!

Jose’s is a wonderful place to enjoy delicious, homemade Mexican food in a vibrantly colored venue. The fajitas were delicious with plenty of shrimp. Our kids liked the children’s menu as it offered yummy choices. Love their chips and sals!!!

This place is the real deal. It's not the best Mexican food ever, but it is very top quality, and the ambiance and service is the definition of local charm. The enchilada with mole sauce is my favorite.

The food and service was great. It was a quiet night and the waiter found us a nice table for our party of 5. He was patient at explaining the menu and made some excellent recommendations (eg the fajita option). It was a pleasant surprise to order 4 different meals and not have a single one smothered in cheese. This is definitely not Tex mex (phew).

Delicious as always. If you haven’t been in a while the menu has really expanded. Great for vegetarians, vegans, and carnivores alike!

Best Mexican cuisine that I've been able to find in my 5 years of living in the Boston area! Total gem in Cambridge with super flavorful food and huge margaritas. Make sure they mark off your reservation on Open Table, as they missed this with us.

Menu was a little more limited on Cinco de Mayo, for some reason, and it was quite busy, so wait person was hard to find. My drink was too "icy," but otherwise tasty. Overall good , so I'd give it another try

We love Jose's! It's a friendly, charming restaurant with wonderful food (love the chili rellenos, flautas ... everything, really) and the staff is always so welcoming and kind. Terrific margaritas too. One of the nicest places in the region.
