First time dining there. Food was good . The waiter seemed overwelmd as a result the service was very poor. The appetizer came cold we sent it back and never saw it again. Will try a second time and give it another chance

Nice restaurant with nice atmosphere and really good food. Great crusty Italian bread formFlorida. Staff was friendly and efficient. Service was good. Live music was
really good! Not too much volume and great selection of songs!

We had a 7:30 reservation, We were a little early. However, we kept on checking when our table would be ready, we were told a few mins. A few minutes turned into 1 hr. and 15 mins. At this point we called another restaurant, and we left.I made this reservation a month ago, we were bringing friends from out of town, and it was embarrassing.
Not only did this restaurant not honor our reservation,
But they were rude. Obviously they only care about making money , not customer service.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I have taken it off my list. There are too many fine restaurants in Boca to give business to this poorly run establishments!!'nn

I am 72 years and dine out frequently. This was the worst service I have EVER experienced. The restaurant overbooked Put more tables than I think they usually have. The manager when we told her the problem was rude. It was my anniversary and had invited friends to join in celebration. I was truly embarrassed. Will never go back. It's a shame because the food was pretty good.

Arrived for a 6:30 reservation and was seated promptly. Got our drinks within a decent amount of time and asked for bread. After 20 minutes had to ask again and then waited a while to order dinner. Waited quite a while till dinner arrived. They brought the wrong beer to my husband and the wine was not what we ordered either. The food was ok but the waiter nor the owner ever came by to see how things were. The sauce on our pasta was incorrect and we told the waiter when we ordered it how we wanted it. He said he couldn’t correct it. When we ordered coffee we asked for both milk and cream but only got milk. It took another 15 minutes to get cream and by then the coffee was cold. This was terrible service and I told this to the girl who seated us. She didn’t even apologize. We will not be back.

Went on a Tues. food was outstanding service good noise level. Zero. We were able to catch up and converse no problem. Loved it. Also live music in background

We have been eating at different restaurant every night for a month now and this was by far the worse experience. Appetizers were good off to a good start then down hill from there. Nona’s gravy had the worse meatball in it. All bread crumbs no meat. The noise level was so high no one could hear singer and the wait staff was overwhelmed and we sat for over 15 mins waiting to have our table cleared once we finished eating. Bus boy was better than waiter and gave us more attention. The cappuccino was nasty tasting and in bathroom no faucet for hot water. It was turned off. Unbelievable As we left Josephine was at the door but too busy talking and never acknowledged us or said thank you or good bye. All set with trying it again

I wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening. They were very busy, and wanted to give us a table in a very tight corner. After asking the hostess to switch the table she became extremely annoyed. Our waiter was terrible! We got the feeling that he wasn't paying attention. And we were right when the wrong dish came out. He left the table without getting the entire drink order. As far as the food was concerned it was mediocre! Nothing special!

We were a party of six with a 7 o’clock reservation We arrived right on time and the hostess pointed us to our table and disappeared. After some time the rudest waiter I have ever encountered gave us our menus and disappears When we saw him again he was serving another table and complained that “all you people arrive at the same time and expect prompt service” His complaining got so bad that we were forced to demand a different server. We then settled down to a delightful meal with Andrew as our server.
The dessert was free and very good.

What a delightful evening! It had been a while--perhaps more than a year--since we had gone to Josephine's --- yet, our waiter, Andy, remembered us right away and made us feel at home. My husband ordered his usual: eggplant parmigiana ~ always made so light -- and served with angel hair and a salad -- all for $22. I am doing the Paleo /Whole30 diet and they told me that everything was made to order -- so to just tell them what I wanted and they would make it. I passed on the bread, but my husband enjoyed it with a delicious Cabernet (BG?) -- Great meal all around -- service was terrific -- noise level was quiet and comfortable. We will definitely come back within a month's time.

Got to rest at 7 20 pm for 7 30 reservation. Seated us immediately , which never happens. Waiter over in less than 5 minutes , ordered bottle of wine and water and bread. All came quickly. So looks like great start. Ended there. Waiter took our orders , we all ordered prefix dinners. 45 minutes later we are all still waiting for our entree. Finally after much asking entrees came out. All food excellent.After 1 hour more off waiting main courses came out . Again food was hot and good for all. Then dessert. My wife and one other ordered a tea and a coffee, don't you think they charged us for them. Instead of an apology for 3 hour meal we got nothing...... not even free coffee and tea.....Since I made the reservation and invited 2 people to join us, don't you think I look a lot foolish. The owner never came over to apologize. Shame on them...

I have dined at Josephine’s many times. This time was a great disappointment. Even though we had a reservation for 7:15, we were not seated for about 35 minutes. We had a very long wait for our appetizers. Our entrees did not arrive until aftter 9. One of our friends cannot eat that late for medical reasons. He had his entre wrapped to go. It was late so we had our desserts wrapped to go. It became a very uncomfortable night for everyone. At one point the waiter became very defensive. It was not an inexpensive evening, the owner did not apologize or offer to do anything to make amends. We will not go there again.

I made reservations here because my previous visits last year we’re exceptional. We had friends in from out of state and had previously been very impressed with Josephine’s. Unfortunately, this experience was much different. The service was terrible. Our waiter was seldom there. After the appetizer, our meals took well over an hour to be brought to us. The food was adequate at best, and one meal was actually brought out wrong. Needless to say, it was very disappointing.

Overall our experience was fair. There were 7 people in our party. When the appetizers were served one person had no appetizer for 5 min while the others ate. The same thing happened with the main dish but thankfully to a different person. Two dishes were mixed up and served to the wrong person. Some dishes were very good while some were just OK. We had the cheesecake for dessert and a few slices had burnt crust. The service otherwise was good and the waiter was very nice. But we had to ask for soft drink refills rather than have them automatically refilled. Overall we all thought the restaurant was just ok. I would not rush to go back but would not necessarily avoid either.

Service was very slow. My daughter requested a gluten free meal- well it wasn’t as she has been ill for the last 2 hours. Nothing is worth what she just went thru!
