Food was great, server was excellent. Margarita was perfect, wish we had room for dessert!
Our Sons 25th birthday
I love the authenticity of the food at Jose's. I live overseas and can't have Mexican very often. I've been having a LOT of it while in town. I've been to 5 or 6 different places. Jose's has had THE best food. Even the chips are the best! Oh, and we had the Aztec dip for the first time...and decided we will be back to have it again before I leave. :)
The food was tasty and a good price. However, we were there for almost an hour before the food arrived, which always puts a downer on things.
It was slay really off putting to have people smoking next to where you’re eating. I guess this is still legal in Colorado Springs.
This is one of my favorite Mexican places. However on this adventure the service was very slow. Usually it's much better.
Its like Mexican Arby's food. I've never seen that shaved thin meat for fajitas.
Only the queso was good
Food was excellent. There were 4 of us in our party and each of use got something different. All were extremely happy with their meals. The chips and salsa and margarita's were delicious also!
Upbeat ambiance. I had the shrimp ceviche, and it was very tasty. The happy hour margaritas were also pretty good. I will visit again when I am in the mood for good tex-mex fare.
Our server, Jaden, was excellent! We were a party of six, and she took great care of us.
The only issue we had was the restaurant doors weren't unlocked until 10:05 am that morning, leaving us standing in the cold.
Always a great choice.
My wife started to downtown Jose Muldoon's shortly after it opened. It has good quality food and excellent service. It makes for a very enjoyable meal.
Jose’s was ready for us before the Reservation time which worked fine since we had folks showing up right on time. I didn’t have any complaint on my dinner nor did I hear any complaints on the food from my party. The waitress kept the chips full except for one water glass getting empty I was pleased with the staff.
Jose Muldoon's is always a favorite due to ambiance, tasty food and service. We love that this busy place remains quiet enough to have nice conversations with those whom you are dining with. The enchiladas are always a favorite as are the fish tacos. The wait staff is attentive, quick and non-intrusive but very professional. Excelente !!
Had a great experience for an early dinner. Everyone’s food was excellent, fair price, and very good service.
Excellent in all ways...
Great food, a little slow for an 8 top. Good service, but she was clearly busy. Great Mexican atmosphere.
Thank you for your feedback! Can you provide more details on who your server was so we can follow up and help her improve. We appreciate your business.
The nachos were delicious! Margaritas and salsa, well they aren’t up to par. The salsa was flavorless, almost like tomato juice and the margarita wasn’t drinkable. The waitress was friendly and the managers were quite attentive.
Best part of the meal, fish tacos, bar none! The mango chutney and slaw was delicious and totally worth a trip back!!
Visiting from out of town. It isn’t the same Jose Muldoons from many years ago. It is probably a better night time option. Foo was just ok.
We were greeted upon entering and asked to wait until she sat the folks before us. Not a problem.
We sat outside at the back patio. You would not know we were in the city with buildings all around us. It was secluded and decorated like Mexico. There was a nice size fire pit in the middle for those cold days and nights.
Brittany came over got our drink order and asked if she could explain anything on the menu.
We both had a good margarita it didnt have that sticking sweet taste.
We did the combo platter. As we ordered Brittany asked if we were ok with the mean green chili. Not for the faint of heart.
Hubby had the tacos and tamale platter and I had the tamale and chili relleno. We both opted for the "Mean Green Chili" sauce. When they say hot trust me it is super spicy hot. BUT it was deliciously good.
The tamales were excellent!! They were not thick with masa and a little filling. The masa was a thin coating surrounding the pork. There was a good amount pork filling. The pork was tender and tasty.
The chili relleno...it's beer battered which is a good american take on the relleno. I think I like the beer batter better than the egg white covered. It was full of ooey gooey cheese and crunchy... YUM!!!!
The tacos were tacos hard to screw up a taco.
Overall nice experience and Brittany was very attentive and helpful.
Took a long for our drinks, an hour for our food and the menus were sticky and nasty looked like they have never been clean way . Food was way too salty.
I've been coming to this restaurant for decades, and it continues to do well. Thanks for the great meal.
Been a satisfied patron for 30 yrs. Recommended for fun casual dining. We enjoyed the Mexican cuisine (street tacos, burtitos, salads)
Very nice experience. Quiet and excellent food. Great Service.
This was the worst service we've ever had. Either the server was too busy or just didn't care. In addition, the staff was inappropriately dressed even for casual dining.
The waitperson forgot what we had ordered to begin with and then everything was very slow. It took a while to get chips and salsa and our drinks. It appeared she was working with a big party in the back and did not have time for us. Also, the salsa was bland. Would not recommend.
Great time with friends out on the patio in back. Wonderful evening. Great service. Great food.
The wait staff was friendly and I had the impression they wanted to take good care of us but the simplest of requests were denied. For example, we ordered a side of sour cream that they didn't bring until we'd finished our entrees and they said they couldn't take it off the bill. It was only $1.50 but it will keep me from coming back on principle. The wait staff made it sound like they would get in trouble for even asking.
not sure why I keep going back to this place every once in a while. it's like I forget how mediocre it reall us....
The food was very disappointing. It took a long time to get our food and some of it was cold. Service was fine.
Our server was a little slow on getting our drinks, etc ... but aside from that everything was good. We're planning return visits!!
we made a last minute decision to book dinner there. It was a quite night but the service was good and the food very good. They had a spicy green chili that was more to my liking but not killer hot. My guest enjoyed their meals and the Marg's were worth drinking another.
You would get better Mexican food at taco Bell. I mean that as an insult but it's true. I'm pretty sure the food is fresher at Taco Bell. The salsa is watery, the guac was good. The burritos we had were tasteless and the rice and veggies were outside of the burritos. Why?? It's basically an enchiladas the way they give it to you. The service was ok at best. We would never go back there. Save your money and spare yourself.
Took awhile to get someone to seat us, no one working the front for at least 5 minutes. Food ok, prices good. nachos were great. Margarita was weak.
Jose' Muldoons is a family "all time" favorite. We love spending time with friends and family here and enjoy the food. Margaritas are good too!
Always the best Tex-mex in Colorado Springs many vegetarian choices. Great Staff and the Back of the House is the BEST.
Good Mexican/American menu, reasonable prices and service, nice downtown location!
The wait staff are great. Wonderfully helpful and friendly. Food was delicious.
Food was very good and portion size is just right. Our waitress did a very nice job. We would definitely come back again.
The food was not very good and took forever to arrive!!! Service was slow and inattentive. With so many places to pick from we won't go back!!
