Best Mexican food we have had. We went back twice while on vacation because it was so good!!
This is our favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs. Being from Texas, we miss Tex-Mex, but we get it here.
Fantastic place! The overall setting is laid back to allow one to relax while enjoying great food and company. The bar staff is phenomenal!! Their attention to service and friendliness makes this our favorite place to dine. Would recommend this place over and over again.
The service was horrible. The hostess forgot we were there and we had checked in plus had reservations. She said her main job was to wrap silverware. So much for this generation knowing how to multitask. We finally got seated and placed our order. My wife’s food came out wrong but after waiting so long, anything was ok. The drinks were always empty and all of it way overpriced. Go to Taco Bell for better food.

My date and I met for drinks and appetizers and had a great time. The service, drinks and appetizers were excellent.
Love this place, and the staff is great.Great food too.
Outdoor seating on back patio was the best part of the day.
Not as robust of an atmosphere with social distancing but very enjoyable anyway. Great service, Cody was hustling and made sure all were revisited in a timely manner. When getting the chips and salsa be sure to ask for "more heat" choices of salsa!
So excited to go dine out after 52 days of Covid lockdown..
Had reservations for 2 weeks, And apparently right before we arrived, on time, everyone that was seated on patio had to be moved inside, it had started sprinkling, and our favorite table in the bar had been given away. We were disappointed, and we were sat in that back room that everyone hates. Zero ambiance. But our server was spectacular, Cheyenne? So we sucked it up and had a very nice time anyway. Drinks good, food great, service great, ambiance not so great. See you next time!
I have been going to Jose Muldoons since the early 70's and I was thrilled when they were able to be open to dining once again.
It was nice to be able to get back to Jose’s. Tables all separated nicely. Staff all had masks. And the food and margarita was excellent
Bummer to have smokers seated nearby on patio.
Food was great and came out fast. Arrows on ground helped with direction when going to bathroom, all employees had masks on.
I split three vegan enchiladas, three vegan tacos (with flour tortillas by request), and two drinks on $2 Margarita Thursdays for $32 total. Great food at a great price!
The food quality was below average. Steak fajitas should be high quality strips of beef however mine came out chopped like yesterday’s leftovers. My wife’s enchilada had dry and tasteless chicken. The tortillas seemed to be store bought. Overall a disappointment. We had heard such good reviews about the food here.
Great menu choices, happy hour choices and flavor. Great ambiance with many different places to sit, either at the bar, in tables around the bar, booths and even a private room with a fireplace in the back.
Only negative with this place is they allow smoking on the back patio.
The only Mexican restaurant I've been to where the rice wasn't blah or bland. Their chicken tortilla soup was amazing as well. They have a nice patio if you are interested in sitting outside.
Food was great, server was excellent. Margarita was perfect, wish we had room for dessert!
Our Sons 25th birthday
I love the authenticity of the food at Jose's. I live overseas and can't have Mexican very often. I've been having a LOT of it while in town. I've been to 5 or 6 different places. Jose's has had THE best food. Even the chips are the best! Oh, and we had the Aztec dip for the first time...and decided we will be back to have it again before I leave. :)
The food was tasty and a good price. However, we were there for almost an hour before the food arrived, which always puts a downer on things.
It was slay really off putting to have people smoking next to where you’re eating. I guess this is still legal in Colorado Springs.
This is one of my favorite Mexican places. However on this adventure the service was very slow. Usually it's much better.
Its like Mexican Arby's food. I've never seen that shaved thin meat for fajitas.
Only the queso was good
Food was excellent. There were 4 of us in our party and each of use got something different. All were extremely happy with their meals. The chips and salsa and margarita's were delicious also!
Upbeat ambiance. I had the shrimp ceviche, and it was very tasty. The happy hour margaritas were also pretty good. I will visit again when I am in the mood for good tex-mex fare.
Our server, Jaden, was excellent! We were a party of six, and she took great care of us.
The only issue we had was the restaurant doors weren't unlocked until 10:05 am that morning, leaving us standing in the cold.
Always a great choice.
My wife started to downtown Jose Muldoon's shortly after it opened. It has good quality food and excellent service. It makes for a very enjoyable meal.
Hadn’t been to Jose’s for a while. Came in with business associates from out of town for lunch. Bad experience all around. Service was poor. Chips not refilled. Food took over an hour to receive. Server seemed unconcerned with amount of time it was taking. At one point she told us food was coming up next—it arrived 30 minutes later. One diner’s order was wrong. The manager came to our table to tell us he was taking 1/2 off our tabs, which helped. Then the server brought one diner the wrong check and another diner’s check was not billed correctly. When the incorrect amount was brought to her attention, she adamantly insisted it was correct. It was wrong. Diner paid it just to get out.
The service here has been going downhill for quite some time. It’s really a shame as the food is usually pretty good.
Jose’s was ready for us before the Reservation time which worked fine since we had folks showing up right on time. I didn’t have any complaint on my dinner nor did I hear any complaints on the food from my party. The waitress kept the chips full except for one water glass getting empty I was pleased with the staff.
Jose Muldoon's is always a favorite due to ambiance, tasty food and service. We love that this busy place remains quiet enough to have nice conversations with those whom you are dining with. The enchiladas are always a favorite as are the fish tacos. The wait staff is attentive, quick and non-intrusive but very professional. Excelente !!
Had a great experience for an early dinner. Everyone’s food was excellent, fair price, and very good service.
Excellent in all ways...
Great food, a little slow for an 8 top. Good service, but she was clearly busy. Great Mexican atmosphere.
Thank you for your feedback! Can you provide more details on who your server was so we can follow up and help her improve. We appreciate your business.
The nachos were delicious! Margaritas and salsa, well they aren’t up to par. The salsa was flavorless, almost like tomato juice and the margarita wasn’t drinkable. The waitress was friendly and the managers were quite attentive.
Best part of the meal, fish tacos, bar none! The mango chutney and slaw was delicious and totally worth a trip back!!
Visiting from out of town. It isn’t the same Jose Muldoons from many years ago. It is probably a better night time option. Foo was just ok.
We were greeted upon entering and asked to wait until she sat the folks before us. Not a problem.
We sat outside at the back patio. You would not know we were in the city with buildings all around us. It was secluded and decorated like Mexico. There was a nice size fire pit in the middle for those cold days and nights.
Brittany came over got our drink order and asked if she could explain anything on the menu.
We both had a good margarita it didnt have that sticking sweet taste.
We did the combo platter. As we ordered Brittany asked if we were ok with the mean green chili. Not for the faint of heart.
Hubby had the tacos and tamale platter and I had the tamale and chili relleno. We both opted for the "Mean Green Chili" sauce. When they say hot trust me it is super spicy hot. BUT it was deliciously good.
The tamales were excellent!! They were not thick with masa and a little filling. The masa was a thin coating surrounding the pork. There was a good amount pork filling. The pork was tender and tasty.
The chili relleno...it's beer battered which is a good american take on the relleno. I think I like the beer batter better than the egg white covered. It was full of ooey gooey cheese and crunchy... YUM!!!!
The tacos were tacos hard to screw up a taco.
Overall nice experience and Brittany was very attentive and helpful.
Took a long for our drinks, an hour for our food and the menus were sticky and nasty looked like they have never been clean way . Food was way too salty.
