JORY Restaurant at The Allison Inn & Spa
My party of 5 enjoyed the whole experience. The service was especially outstanding. Most of the food was delicious--only exceptions being the cucumber salad (a bit too bland needing salt, vinegar, or citrus) and the Australian beef (texture a bit stringy and tough). The rest of the vegetable dishes were especially tasty. I would definitely like to eat there again
We ordered the biscuits and they were cold.
We enjoyed a nice walk around the resort and vineyard before our wonderful lunch on the deck.
We recently celebrated our anniversary at the JORY. The service was outstanding! We chose the five course chefs menu with wine parings for our meal. All five courses were delicious and the wines paired perfectly with each course. The main course of albacore tuna was prepared to perfection.
Food was great. Staff was friendly, especially an older woman who seemed to be helping different tables with little things. Our waiter disappeared after bringing our food, so it took a little longer than expected for the table to be cleared and check to be brought and picked up. Overall, I would recommend this place and return.
Excellent! Great service. Ambiance quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Lastly the food was phenomenal. Everybody in my group throughly enjoyed there meals. I will be back!!!
Fabulous breakfast experience. The eggs Benedict and buttermilk pancakes are amazing. Beautiful display and phenomenal flavors.
Our waitress Vicki was amazing! Very knowledgeable of what the food and the place. We inquired regarding about the business and she knew the history of the business. Service was excellent she checked on us making we are doing great.
If your thinking about going for brunch, Do it! A wonderful experience!
We visited the Allison about three years ago and was so happy with all the services and meals. The housekeeping three years ago was outstanding and you had people cleaning and dusting the hulls and everything was superb. This time we visited the rugs when not clean , the room vents where bad so we asked then to come and change it and they did but left all the dust on the vents. I called again the no one ever came to clean it up. The beds needs to be changed for the comfort is not there. Our shower had mold in the corners and we asked if they would clean it and it was still there. I hope that this beautiful inn has not changed mangers and staff because it was not the same. As for our dinner at Jory it was not the greatest. My husband had the fish and it was so dry and it feel apart, my wagyu steake was ok but not taste. Now the ahi sampler was so salty .
As for the spa that was a whole other story. And I am sure you all have heard this story. Rude person told us our reservation went to the spam box. So we had to get a message and that was it.
As for the front dest they where outstanding . Shaz did a fabulous job with the reservations , and the bell men was always there to help.
Please try to redo the area's you are lacking in for this is the most beautiful place and would love to come back again.
Wonderful service -except a glass of wine was $28
Our brunch was delicious and the service was excellent. Looking forward to going again - for dinner next time. And the grounds are really beautiful too!
Everything was excellent. We thought the blackened shrimp entree needed half dozen shrimp as opposed to the three shrimp served in the dish. If I were to order that dish again, I would simply ask for 6 shrimp. However, guests should know it's served with only three shrimp so they can decide if that's too light of a lunch. We ordered four different entrees, and the blackened shrimp was the only teensy dish--much more like a small appetizer.
First time dining here. It was recommended by a friend as the best in valley for my birthday dinner. It was perfect! Remarkable service (thanks Craig and supporting cast!); truly inspired and amazing food; really comfortable setting. We will be back for special occasions in the future!
Fantastic lunch, and have also been here for breakfast (equally outstanding). Service was attentive, but to the degree at which it became bothersome. In addition, our server did not wait for appropriate times to interact with us. She instead simply walked up to the table and began talking without waiting for a pause in our conversation. This happened at every stop she made (which again, was a bit too frequent). She was otherwise very professional and could easily have earned high-marks if she works on being more polite and patient with guest conversations. Lastly, I requested a green tea at the close of the meal and was brought herbal tea. Again, an opportunity for minor coaching/education of the service staff.
Fantastic service all the way through! The food sets itself apart! Everyone, everything was exquisite, and perfect! 9 out of 5 stars easy!
Appetizers were delicious. However, the main dishes were only ok. The salmon was just a piece of salmon with little of interest. Additionally, they added a glass of wine to the bill that we had to correct. View was beautiful!
The only drawback from our dining experience was the SUN. I had requested outdoor dining in the shade. We constantly had to adjust the shade to keep the sun at bay but even that wasn't always possible. One guest had the sun almost the entire time. And it was hot out. The umbrella didn't cover our table adequately.
It was my fiends birthday and that is why we were there for the special occasion. Our waitress Vickie was great. She did an amazing job. If I could give her 10 stars I would!! Thank u Vickie for everything! It was our first time at the restaurant and loved the full experience.
Food used to be good. We e been coming for 5 years but it seems to be going downhill.
Beautiful grounds, beautiful restaurant, and amazing food. Menu had many options, staff was courteous and professional. We had the Paella, and Halibut sandwich, with two wine tasters. One was for the prix fix, with two whites and a red, and the other was a Pinot Noir flight. All excellent, sandwich was to die for. Highly recommend.
It was a daughter’s 19th BD and we had a family brunch with friends. A terrific day with the great food and staff of the JORY . An amazing place that I highly recommend.
The experience was excellent! The fish was amazing. The ambiance was elegant.
Jory was beyond good, a great meal and a great value!!
Love having a nice place to take out guests, especially when they are from out of town. Never disappointed and so delicious!
We’re lucky 🍀 enough to be guests at the Allison Inn. Their in house restaurant is wonderful. Our meal their staff the decor were all top notch. We are celebrating my 60th birthday 🎂 & were treated to a delicious dessert.
We were there for Saturday brunch which has become a birthday celebration tradition. If it was not consistently very good, we would go elsewhere.
Perfect for a romantic occasion. Quiet and well done for an occasion. Dessert super, everything else really good.
Best ambiance of any restaurant I’ve been to, amazing location and out Chef, César was FANTASTIC and went above and beyond. Wait staff was very hospitable and attentive to our needs and our table. I will most definitely be back!
This was our 34 yr Anniversary, the 3rd one celebrated at Jory and as always they were amazing . The food and the service plus the special treat made the day!
Outstanding experience. From being seated to wine selection to menu options to Jeff our waiter to dessert..... the view is beautiful. We were not disappointed. Our meal presentation and preparation was superb.
Fantastic culinary innovations and service; attention to special seating requests on two occasions neither acknowledged or realized. A very good experience that easily good be perfect with attention to detail.
We had wonderful service and our food was excellent. The scallop appetizer and the mushroom side was our favorite. Also, great wine choices.
Absolutely loved this place and have and will return again
Didn’t remember the birthday I told them about multiple times. Also messed up my tea order, forgot to bring the tea, and spilled hot water on my mother (who was also the birthday girl).
We dined at JORY while staying at the Allison for our wedding anniversary. Although our food was lovely (tho mine arrived rare when ordered medium rare) our waitress was not suited to a restaurant of this caliber and it dramatically effected our experience. I would not rush back. She hovered, her lack of knowledge concerning the wines was surprising and the way she went about communicating was not what I would have expected. The Somm was able to talk about the wine list so we ended up ordering what we liked but for the $$$$$ each person should be suited for the experience .
Great experience all around! Came out to celebrate our 20th anniversary and the entire team has been extremely kind in helping us celebrate. Our waiter even saw to it that our desert plate had a special anniversary wish written in chocolate on it.
The service was exceptional as was the food. Would highly recommend.
First time at JORY and we were very impressed. Amazing food, perfect service, wonderful wine list, beautiful surroundings. Can’t believe we’d never been here before but we will be back! Highly recommend for a special occasion.
On a visit to Oregon’s wine country. Wonderful meal, great setting, excellent service. We had the duck and the haddock. Both were good and the sides were also great. The portions were not too large nor too small. They were just right. We were full but splurged with a dessert which was to die for.
We enjoyed a nice family dining experience! Attentive staff took good care of us and the food was very good. Dessert looked really good too, but was just too full to try...this time. Definitely next time I should plan ahead and save room.
