Great food and margaritas!
We love Jorge's as a pre-theater destination. If you are doing anything in the Arts District, Jorge's makes the entire evening a BREEZE!
I’ve been to this restaurant several times and it was awesome. This time, however, we waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us and another 10 before someone came to the host stand to seat us. When we entered the dining room, it was in complete disarray. The food was mediocre, drinks were okay, ambiance wasn’t what it was in the past. Everyone has an off day, hoping this was the case.
Service is always attentive and the food is great!
Wonderful salsa - nice & spicy. Good midday drinks
Not enough wait staff for the lunch crowd, food was average but was promptly served.
Overall, it was a great place to get a quick bite before the symphony. My Diablo Shrimp was especially tasty. The servers were super nice and it wasn't noisy.
We've been to Jorge's a number of times before events in the Arts District. Always a delicious meal with great service, reasonably priced!
Tacos were terrible and the drinks were weak.
My favorite dish there is the Galan Pollo, but they ran out this night, so I was a bit bummed. They super apologized. I ordered something else that was good, though, so it's okay. We'll be back!
I had tickets to see Branford Marsalis Quartet and booked a reservation for 2 prior to concert. Arrived at 5:30p restaurant was empty. Greeted immediately. The drinks were ok. Overpriced for a margarita...The food was delicious.Beef tacos and chicken enchilada...
Pre-show dinner for the Kristin Chenoweth performance at the meyerson
I think y’all just need to find out when booker t has events. Bc the wait staff and kitchen couldn’t handle the crowd. We had 5:30 reservations and didn’t get our food until 6:20. We ordered at 5:45. Drinks from bar orders couldn’t be taken , my iced tea wasn’t refilled once .. we love your place. By our friend’s at another table didn’t even get food. We all had a 7pm show and had to leave by 6:50.
I was able to make a reservation online, but arrived at the restaurant only to find they were closed for Labor Day weekend. We were left scrambling for a place to eat before our show. I had been raving about how good Jorge’s is and we were looking forward to margaritas and great food before our show. Very disappointing!!!
Made a reservation for 8 for before a show and when we arrived they were closed “for Labor Day”. There were other folks standing in front in the same position as us. Put us in a bind .... very disappointing.
I made a reservation for two on the Open Table website. My friend and I arrived at the restaurant on Saturday September 1st at are reserved time only to discover that the restaurant was closed for three days of the Labor Day weekend. I I had received an email confirmation for that day and time from OpenTable. Other people arrived as we were leaving who had also made reservations with openl table. Somebody really dropped the ball!
Great tex-mex and so convenient to the Dallas Arts District - we walked to the Windspear
Good food, good service
All was good until I discovered $14 to valet park at an empty restaurant!
The food was very delicious and I even requested a candle light at the table and they did just that! The staff is friendly and overall great job!
The service was slow. The waiter didn't check in with us. We ran out of water and couldn't find anybody to refill it. So we were thirsty, didn't have water chip anything for a very long time. When they finally got to us they took the order and got it wrong. First we waited a long time for it and then it was wrong and then you wanted to fix it. So then I had to wait for it to get fixed. Then it was soggy and wet and just awful. I had the flat enchiladas with two eggs on top. It was awful. And it was expensive. My friend got a quinoa bowl with what look like overcooked scrambled eggs on it. And for the price she paid for it it was the smallest appetizer I've ever seen. All told then it was awful, the service slow and to top it off it was expensive.
Very meh. For what we paid, I expected better. Not bad, just very average.
Dinner before seeing show at Winspear
The food was delicious but the service was horrible. I would come back as it is one of few restaurants close to the theatres in downtown, but the service makes me question that.
We decided to try Jorge's out before attending the Winspear Theatre. The location is ideal for theatre goers. Eduardo, our service, was fast, courteous, attentive to our needs, and a very good waiter. He got our meal out quickly so we had time to enjoy it before attending the play. Food and drinks were good and ideal location to all the theaters.
It was extremely hot in the restaurant, and the service was slow.
Air conditioner was off. It was hot! Wish they had told us that when we made reservations we would have found somewhere else that eat in the 110 degree heat.
Great service and amazing salsa. On hottest day of the year, the air conditioning was on the fritz, but I would definitely come back
I have been there twice in the last two weeks - call and see if there air conditioning is working, It was literally 83 degrees with the thermostat set on 68. Great food, nice service but we all melted!
We always go before the theater. We love the convenience and the food is pretty good!
Excellent option for Arts District dining. We eat there a lot before concerts.
Good food, great service!
Have now been here three times. The service is patently AWFUL......
The food was okay. The problem was the kitchen. It took an hour for our food to be delivered to our table with the restaurant only being half full of diners. I had to threaten to leave before they took me serious after several requests for our food. I feel sorry for the waiters because several tables walked out. Poor management.
The food was fine, but unfortunately the restaurant seemed completely unprepared to handle the dinner rush before a performance in the Arts District that evening. We allowed plenty of time to eat before the performance, but waited almost an hour for our food to arrive. Then we had to scarf it down in 10 minutes and get out of there. Others in the restaurant were in the same situation, and several tables just got up and walked out without eating. For any restaurant that wants to operate in the Arts District with several theaters and performance halls nearby, it's imperative to understand how to get everyone served and on their way so they don't miss a performance.
We sat outside. The scenery is great next to the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Service was also very good. Margaritas left something to be desired and the queso dip wasn’t much better. We split pollo mole which was also okay.
The poor waiter seemed to have no help and the food was terrible this visit. Used to really love this place but something has happened. Hope they can pull it together as it's a good spot to eat before going to the various venues in downtown.
Had been to Jorge’s many times before concerts at Winspear or Wylie and always found food very good. However, the last two times, the service has left a lot to be desired. We knew service bad and ordered food with our drink order. Food took FORTY minutes and first drink not what we ordered! Do no know if we will be back! DO NOT be in a hurry at this restaurant, Jorge’s may be on our endangered list!
The last two times we have booked via open table, the restaurant says we didn't have a reservation. They still provided a table, although The food was not good. We were disappointed because we usually like to go before the opera. We will be looking elsewhere.
