American
Entrepreneurial restaurateur Stephen Starr, owner of Philadelphia's eight most trend-setting restaurants, continues to stimulate the revival of a historic block of Chestnut Street by introducing Jones, a casual comfort-food restaurant and lounge at 700 Chestnut Street. Jones, with its laid-back atmosphere, affordable fare and late-night scene adds a new element to the mix, recreating a nightlife ambiance reminiscent of Starr's Continental Martini Bar and Restaurant, a retro cocktail lounge that helped turn Old City into Philadelphia's most popular neighborhood for a night on the town. Starr hopes Jones will do for Chestnut Street what the Continental did for Old City.

Great ambiance and service! Food was awesome, but some items a bit pricy. If you have your tickets for Walnut Street Theatre you will a free chocolate cake and milk for dessert!

Too noisy; felt rushed ( food came too quickly after appetizers; poached eggs not done properly; plate covered with greasy, unappetizing tasted tots. Ugh.
Shag carpet on second floor was filthy.

The chicken and waffles is my sole reason for coming to Jones and it has never disappointed. Maybe one day I'll try something else, but it's hard to depart from guaranteed bliss.

The food was very good but the service was lacking. It felt as if we were ignored most of the time and an inconvenience at other times. Luckily we went early enough that we were able to make it to our event that evening.

Great food and prices. Service was wonderful. One dish was quite small for the price. That's the only knock for value.

We ate brunch here, excellent service with great Bloody Mary options. Interesting decor, not outrageous pricing for the location. Will stop by again.

My daughter graduated from college last week. She had never been to Jones' and requested to go there based on my previous experience. Let me just say it was even better than the last time I went! Our waitress was fast and courteous. She had a great personality. The food, well, that never disappoints. I always get the chicken and waffles, which melts in my mouth. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, as always. Actually better than mine at home, but I won't tell anyone! I did try a new appetizer, Nachos. They were excellent! At the end, the manager came over to check on our table to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I let him know it was great and my family and friends enjoyed it! I am going back next weekend with some friends from out of town. "Thank you!" Jones for making my daughter's graduation meal memorable.

No more bottomless mimosas, but $22 for a bottle of champagne split between 2 people isn't a bad deal. Staff is always great

We went specifically for the bottomless brunch but I guess they do not have it anymore. However, they bring you a spread of juices and each bottle of champagne is $22, which ended up being cheaper for us than the previous bottomless brunch. I love this place.

Finally had an opportunity to go to Jones and was not disappointed. The service was lovely and the portions were normal - like Mom would serve you. The noise level started to get a tad ridiculous between conversations and the background music but I only noticed it as I was dining with an older person. Delicious and fair pricing.

Good selection for lunch choices near center city. The tuna tacos were a but too spicy for one guest but other meals were good. Our waiter never asked how our meals were and never came by to refill our drinks. He was polite but not very attentive to lunch hour needs.

The music (club house Phyllis 70’s sounds - not dinner music) was so loud we left our table and sat at the bar that helped a little
Waited a literal five minutes before we were acknowledged (he was busy but the bars not that big so a nod or be right with you would have helped) we were greeted with a’hey’ and ‘you ready to order’ (I’m fine thanks for asking). We ordered drinks and an app - once we got the app we placed our dinner order both were delicious
The esthetic of the place is beautiful- rustic contemporary? If it weren’t for the food and decor I would have no reason to go back
We booked through open table when we got there they acknowledged our reservation except the next day I get a sorry you missed your reservation please let us know why??? You tell me.

We went for comfort food and Jones sure did deliver. We had Mac & Cheese, Fried Chicken, Cobb Salad, and the Peanut Butter pie. All well made and ample servings. The seating was cramped and the noise level loud, but that’s because the place was packed, which speaks highly for the food.

Overall we liked Jones, but it just wasn’t what we were expecting. The first thing we instantly noticed was how loud the room was. Secondly, we had asked for a round table when making a reservation for our party and a round table wasn’t reserved for us. The food however was very delicious and a great value for the price.

Our second visit was every bit as good as the first. We went there with our grandson and all of us enjoyed our meals. I cannot imagine a better value in the city. Reasonable prices, great food and wonderful service.
I enjoyed what was easily the best turkey burger that I have ever eaten. I can't wait until my next visit.
I could not recommend a place more.

Fries were good..thin & delicious.

Liked brisket better than turkey
Turkey bland, had to get Russian dressing to liven it up.

It's been a while since we were at Jones, but, as always, the food and service were great!
Jones continues to provide delicious food and beverage in an cool, but unpretentious environment that is family friendly and great value for money. Their tuna tacos are fantastic and the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup is a go-to comfort classic that is big enough to be shared. We would not hesitate to recommend Jones to our family and friends.

We went for brunch. Food was very good overall. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict: excellent and the eggs were poached perfectly. My wife had the avocado toast: just OK - she didn’t love the bread, which was thin, rather than thick and hearty. Of course, we shared the monkey bread, which is basically bite sized pieces of yummy hot cinnamon bread with icing to dip into. Nothing wrong with that (except perhaps the calories). Prices were very fair. A good, not fancy, brunch choice!
