Good selection and large portions.
Service and lighting were good. Food was great. A bit noisy inside. Otherwise a great experience.
It was wonderful
Loved the ambience. Waitress we had was great!
Ideal location for date night. Brought a friend here and that was all we could talk about based on the atmosphere, style, and service. Food was delicious and well priced. It's nice that this restaurant has the options of milkshakes for desserts. That itself made our night. Definitely will return.
Such a great space to catch up with girlfriends!!! We will definitely be returning!
The service was slow and my order came out wrong initially. The fried chicken is nothing special.
Jones is my go to place when I want a casual, good value meal. Had never been there before for brunch, and was not disappointed. Food was inventive and delicious. Spinach and feta omelet an A plus!
All the food taste like home cooking from my youth.
My only question is why skimp on a scoop of ice cream to end a really great meal.
How much could it cost the restaurant to give a dip of ice cream bigger than a kiddie portion?
Great service, excellent food and fun atmosphere.
This was our first time at Jones, and it delivered on what it claims to be. It was comfort food done very well. 4 of us went, and each of us loved what we got for dinner! The highlights of the night were the mac and cheese and the fried chicken. Desserts were great also, and our server was attentive and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. We would be happy to go back!
Saturday night at 7:30, we noted in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration. We were seated upstairs which was both good and bad. Good in that it was extremely noisy on the first level. The music was way to loud which probably caused guest to have to talk over it adding to the overall noise level. The bad thing(s) about being upstairs is that there is NO view or atmosphere. It felt kinda like we were seated at the children’s table while the party went on below without us. Adjacent tables were cleared but dirty and there was food on the floor. It took way to long before we were acknowledged....so we waited...with only a view of dirty tables and floor to look at.
(On a side note: I was wearing a fracture cast to the knee and while I was able to slowly navigate the stairs, my limp and situation was certainly noticeable. Had the host/hostess been more aware of the guests they were seating...we may have been offered first floor seating.)
The food was excellent. Zucchini frites were the best fried zucchini I’ve ever tasted! Paper thin slices lightly coated with cornmeal... fried to crispy perfection...and dusted with parmesan and pepper flakes. Shrimp and grits were cheesy and bacon-y goodness topped with a rich blush type sauce. The shrimp themselves were plentiful and good... but not exceptional. Turkey dinner was comfort food reminiscent of what grandma made. My dining partner and the food quality made the evening memorable while there is much about the experience that is worth forgetting. We were served a good meal but there was nothing about the experience that made us feel “special”... or that they appreciated our business.
Good place for brunch and to bring kids. The Cobb salad with chicken was a disappointment. Way too much blue cheese and the chicken was not great. I will come back but stick to more of the classic ordering options.
Took my two granddaughters for lunch before the Walnut Street Theater. The 6 year old will ONLY eat at Jones when we are in the city. Now she has turned her 3 year old sister into a fan. Food was great as always. They ordered chocolate chip pancakes and I had a taste - I don’t like pancakes, and these were outstanding. My tuna taco was delicious. Thanks Jones for another great dining experience with my girls.
Table location was not so good, even with a reservation Service was great. Food was awesome, as usual.
This is was my second time doing brunch at jones and I highly recommend. The bottomless mimosas is a great deal and the food is always good, hot, and delivered to my table in a timely manner. I was running a little late for my reservation (which I usually do) and i was still treated nicely. I love jones and I think everyone should go!!
Lively establishment, great food, accommodating and friendly staff. Love this place.
I loved this place. The mac n cheese and tuna tacos were my favorite!
Excellent restaurant to dine in before the Walnut St. Theater performances.
Enjoyed my lunch at Jones. The beef brisket sandwich was on the salty side but still good. I do wish they would have real french fries instead of frozen ones.
The hostess did not talk to us at all, she just looked at her iPad fiddled around a bit then said follow me, no hi, I have you reservation. Our waitress was less enthusiastic. Did not return to fill water. We talked about the free desert with a theatre ticket and received our bill within 10 minutes with us charged for the dessert
Food as usual was tasty. We have dined at Jones numerous times.
not good service, we had theater, arrived in plenty of time and had to rush through dessert. It took 30 minutes for simple orders to arrive. Not good.
We went for brunch and were glad we had a reservation. The place was packed and now we understand why. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere.
I’ve been to Jones many times. This time we had to send something back because it was cold. It was cold the second time but got eaten. The quiche was wonderful. The server struggled. Didn’t know the menu. Dropped things. I’ll go back and hope for a different experience
We were seated promptly and our beverage order taken quickly. The food here is always good and fairly reasonable. The only thing that annoyed me was that the table was connected to the wall and the booth seats were very close to the table and it was really hard to get in and out of the booth. Next time I will ask for a regular table.
They have no vegan options except a hummus plate, which was really disappointing. Other than that the service was good Irs extremely loud in there though on a Friday. Kid friendly
Delightful space, great service, reasonable prices. Definitely try the Creole shrimp & grits.
I have a new favorite dish at Jones: the shrimp and cheesy grits is just wonderful. Full of flavor, full of protein, yummy on every level.
The fried chicken is worth the splurge and calories. It is hit, seasoned, and crispy. The collard greens with smoked turkey has the perfect little kick. Service was good but our waitperson disappeared when we needed the bill to get back to work in time.
This is a wonderful restaurant for couples or families. Great menu selection, food, and service
The food was excellent. Our server was very slow. Had to ask other servers for condiments. Waited 10 to 15 minutes for our check. We were going to the theater and gave ourselves two hours for lunch. We sat with our coats on and had to ask another server to look for our waitress to get the check for our table. We will try other places and not return.
Another great meal at Jones. Had friends in from Vermont and had to take them to Jones for Sunday Brunch. They absolutely loved the Mac-n-Cheese and the Pancakes with walnuts and bananas. The drink "The Pain Killer" was a hit as well as the mimosas.
Out with a group of six for my wife’s birthday. I found Jones searching on Open Table. I had never heard of it before but liked the concept of comfort food in a retro setting. The good reviews and being a Stephen Starr restaurant didn’t hurt.
Started with the calamari and deviled eggs for apps and they were both delicious! I and two other members of our party had the beef brisket entree and enjoyed it and the potatoes and carrots that came with it. The Milanese chicken and burger got rave reviews as well. For dessert my wife and I had the “Birthday Cake” adult milkshake which was a real treat!
Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive and we enjoyed the decor. The restaurant was a little noisy when we first arrived but quieted down as the night went on. And I thought the food was reasonably priced given the quality and Center City location. Overall a great night and we will be back!
Family gathering. Food was delicious. All was served in a perfectly timed arrival. Portions were generous, hot and a great value. We all tasted each other’s dinner because everyone was raving about their entree and more than enough food to share. Even though the restaurant was full, we were surprised how efficient our server was and how quickly all food arrived. Great experience. Great service.
Food was good — menu has changed slightly Sunday brisket was amazing may order it every time I go.
Great food, loved the option to get a whole bottle of champagne with 3 different juices, and my bestie and I sat by the fireplace which was beautiful but just a little on the warm side.
Affordable breakfast with decent flavors.
