Jonathans Grille in Green Hills has been labeled Nashvilles leading upscale sports bar and grill. Family owned and operated, Jonathans Grille is committed to quality in both the food and the service. Inside, two dining options provide guests with either a bar setting for catching the game or a restaurant dining area with upscale and cozy surroundings for eating with family and friends.
The menu at Jonathans Grille is classic comfort food with staples such as pizza, wings and sandwiches. Open for lunch and dinner, stop by and try the bison burger, turkey burger or one of the other delicious sandwich options or full entre meals.
I thought Jonathan's had good food and I think the service did their best, however, we asked for sweet tea, but instead got unsweetened. Apparently the batch of sweet tea was actually unsweetened, but the waitress did a great job by making sure a new batch was made and that we got actual sweet tea, which we did. Later, we asked for some spicy ranch and regular ranch for fries, but the staff brought us two spicy ranches instead of one of each. Either way, I think Jonathan's was good and I would come back again despite the little mishaps.
I usually love the salads, but this time it came out not very fresh and wasn't very good and the whole thing was spinach? Where is the arugula/mesclun mix? I don't want a spinach salad.
It is a good place to eat during the week. Great for business lunches or just to dine during the week. Good service and food.
I dined at this restaurant with a group of business partners while attending a conference downtown. A friend wanted to dine at a sports bar while we were in Nashville for the week and Jonathan's fit the bill.
The beer selection was perfect and the menu options catered to everyone's tastes. The Tuesday, two-for one beverages and stone-fired pizzas was a great option that we did not anticipate when selecting this establishment.
Our service was cordial and attentive to our needs and had a great personality that fit our table. If traveling to Nashville, I would make a stop at Jonathan's.
Always a great experience!! Love everything, salads, appetizers, burgers, & entrees!!!
Service great. Turkey burger was good - sweet potato came cold. When I sent it to get warmed up, a manager-type came over and more or less threw it on the table. It was scalding hot - to the point of being overdone. As to not have this woman throw food at me again, I simply ate the burger, asked for my check - and never to return again. Server was awesome - management not so much. I won't be back (first time there, too)
Food was alright but the service was some of the worst I've experienced. We had a party of 7 and it took waiter 15 to even greet us at table. The restaurant even had empty tables. This is the 2nd time there with bad service... We won't be back.
We lost our first waitress due to I don't know....but the staff rebounded and did a great job. We had out-of-town guests for the week and decided to dine out. Service was good, food was better and we enjoyed the happy hour menu. Recently moved to the area and are still exploring different places. Johnanths is going to be a repeat for us.
My wife and I really like Jonathan's. She has the fish tacos and sweet potato fries and I get either a personal pizza or a hamburger. The servers are always attentive, keeping our glasses full. We most office go there after church on Sunday.
Great fish tacos! Service was so so but food was wonderful.
Our family enjoys going to Jonathan's because they always are so friendly and attentive to our needs and requests. Lots of room and layout is perfect for finding a spot just right for any mood. Food selection is great as is the quality of preparation. After a day of shopping or simply meeting to talk, Jonathan's is a perfect place to eat. The salmon, salads, burgers, and flatbread are very good choices.
We had a large party , including two 86 year olds and some marathon runners! The runners needed to carb up before the next day's race and the orders have some limitations as to food. Jonathan's menu has something for everyone and gave us tremendous service on that busy early evening. Thank you so much!
For a sports bar they certainly offer a good choice of salads. Highly recommend.
I relied on OpenTable to recommend dining options for a casual Saturday evening, some good burgers and drinks. Jonathan's Grille appeared to fit the bill. My first impression was poor....the Hostess had an attitude problem; no friendly greeting; very unwelcoming. She was more the “anti-hostess”! The overall the atmosphere of the bar and dining area was great. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed dinning outside on the patio area. Our server, Woody, was exceptional; very friendly and professional. Food was average…and I was really looking forward to a good, juicy burger! My Bison burger was way over-cooked and tasteless. For $13.50, I expected a much better burger.
During high school football season, this is our weekly pre game meal. We could never ask for better service or food. All of our guests are wow'ed that a bar and grille could have such an amazing experience. Thank you!
The seating was very tight. I felt like I was sitting in the aisle the entire time. My hat getting knocked off the back of the chair because there was no room to squeeze by.
Food is always consistent and staff is friendly! Good healthy choices at good price!
Our server was great, however we were treated rudely when we asked not to sit by an open window. Our appetizer came out after our food. Everything was just average and I wouldn't go back.
Needed a meal before going to a movie. Service was good, food tasty (Fish and Chips, Reuben) and not too crowded for the after-church crowd.
It was wonderful. There was a large wait time and we walked in, gave the open table confirmation and were sat within minutes.
It was such a pleasure and will go back because of the service
