Jonathan's Grille - Green Hills Ratings and Reviews
I thought Jonathan's had good food and I think the service did their best, however, we asked for sweet tea, but instead got unsweetened. Apparently the batch of sweet tea was actually unsweetened, but the waitress did a great job by making sure a new batch was made and that we got actual sweet tea, which we did. Later, we asked for some spicy ranch and regular ranch for fries, but the staff brought us two spicy ranches instead of one of each. Either way, I think Jonathan's was good and I would come back again despite the little mishaps.
I dined at this restaurant with a group of business partners while attending a conference downtown. A friend wanted to dine at a sports bar while we were in Nashville for the week and Jonathan's fit the bill.
The beer selection was perfect and the menu options catered to everyone's tastes. The Tuesday, two-for one beverages and stone-fired pizzas was a great option that we did not anticipate when selecting this establishment.
Our service was cordial and attentive to our needs and had a great personality that fit our table. If traveling to Nashville, I would make a stop at Jonathan's.
Service great. Turkey burger was good - sweet potato came cold. When I sent it to get warmed up, a manager-type came over and more or less threw it on the table. It was scalding hot - to the point of being overdone. As to not have this woman throw food at me again, I simply ate the burger, asked for my check - and never to return again. Server was awesome - management not so much. I won't be back (first time there, too)
We lost our first waitress due to I don't know....but the staff rebounded and did a great job. We had out-of-town guests for the week and decided to dine out. Service was good, food was better and we enjoyed the happy hour menu. Recently moved to the area and are still exploring different places. Johnanths is going to be a repeat for us.
Our family enjoys going to Jonathan's because they always are so friendly and attentive to our needs and requests. Lots of room and layout is perfect for finding a spot just right for any mood. Food selection is great as is the quality of preparation. After a day of shopping or simply meeting to talk, Jonathan's is a perfect place to eat. The salmon, salads, burgers, and flatbread are very good choices.
We had a large party , including two 86 year olds and some marathon runners! The runners needed to carb up before the next day's race and the orders have some limitations as to food. Jonathan's menu has something for everyone and gave us tremendous service on that busy early evening. Thank you so much!
I relied on OpenTable to recommend dining options for a casual Saturday evening, some good burgers and drinks. Jonathan's Grille appeared to fit the bill. My first impression was poor....the Hostess had an attitude problem; no friendly greeting; very unwelcoming. She was more the “anti-hostess”! The overall the atmosphere of the bar and dining area was great. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed dinning outside on the patio area. Our server, Woody, was exceptional; very friendly and professional. Food was average…and I was really looking forward to a good, juicy burger! My Bison burger was way over-cooked and tasteless. For $13.50, I expected a much better burger.
Very extensive menu with plenty of options for any tastes. I had the The Avocado Club, and it was the best I have tried anywhere! It is one of my restaurant favorites, but theirs was delicious! Very comfortable atmosphere, and they take reservations through Open Table which I use to collect dining points. I highly recommend this restaurant for a casual night out for good food!
The food was not very good, our first server was horrible and took 35 minutes to get an appetizer. Another server came to our table and was much better and corrected cold, late appetizer. Unfortunately original serve came back and continued to provide poor service.
What could have been a really fun (and delicious) evening was hindered by such poor service. The hostess that seated us could not have cared one bit about anything. She took us past some good tables and plopped our menus on a table and left. We could not sit down because the people at the table on either side of us were scooted back so far. We had to move our table several times to make room for us to sit down. The hostess should have cared enough to ask us if the table was okay. Our waitress was nice but they have no teamwork. While she was busy off taking care of other customers (we assume?) the others there were only interested in watching the game on tv while we didn't have drinks or silverware to go with our food.
Food and service are consistently outstanding! We love the wide variety covered by the menu. Everyone can find something to suit them! We could go multiple nights for weeks in a row and still have new choices from which to choose. Their salads are my favorite. My kiddos love the fish & chips, the fajitas, and the pizzas. My husband likes the Kale salad and the sandwiches. Really cannot go wrong!!!
Place was dead, no need for a reservation. Not sure why, though. Food is good, great happy hour special (by one get one free on beer, some wells and wines.) Did find it weird that on the BOGO beer they brought both at the same time. Not how I'd prefer it.
It's nothing special but I've eaten here many times and always get good food and service. It's your typical american fare food. The menu has many great selections.
Though there was a mix up regarding the plans for a birthday cake, the general manager saved the night. The thoughtful professional follow through she displayed along with the reliably well prepared and very reasonable menu served with a pleasant attitude makes Jonathans a place to return to again and again. We discovered this gem while attending the Nashville Film Festival. There is nothing about the place that says, " Chain of many Jonathan;s"/ In fact I have not been to another of their locations. However I have found the food is excellent and the service is as well. The general manager is quick to ensure the guests want to return for all that is available here. It was a wonderful birthday and we will return. I wish I knew the GM's name so I could recognize her personally but will be sure to thank her next time. Great job all around.
Several times there; usually an affordable option with minimal wait times compared to Carraba's or Cheesecake Factory. Menu has several tempting options; loaded burgers, good appetizers, range of flatbread and pizza, decent entrees up to the $20 dollar range. 2 vegetarians /pescetarians in our crowd of four were able to have plenty to eat.
We had some friends from out of town in for the weekend. We wanted a chill night and were planning on going to Greenhouse afterwards for some drinks. Came to Jonathan's for dinner, and it was great! All four of us loved what we ordered. There is such a great variety of food here, and everything that I have tried from the burgers to the pizzas have been amazing. I would definitely recommend! There is a great outdoor area that is nice in the summertime as well.
Reserved a table of 4, got a booth that couldn't fit 4 adults. Requested a larger booth, was offered any booth in the place. Moved, was told by the manager all booths were reserved. Moved again, same story. Offered an outdoor table, same story. Horrible management, decent pizza.
