Jonah's Seafood House
The house specialty is a wide offering of flat breads and the signature Cuban sandwich. Jonah’s "Down Under" Banquet Bar & Grill is a banquet facility with capacity from 20-300. Jonah's offers river level views and the cook-to-order style will make your next function be the talk of the town!
I love Jonah's seafood restaurant and also the oyster bar. I have always had Great serve and the food is outstanding. Prices are reasonable. The Clam Chowder is the Best.
This used to be one of our favorite places. Not sure if Monday evening is the chef's night off, but both of our entrees were disappointing. Grouper had no flavor and the Hawaiian WooHoo pan searing should've been served with a steak knife. The clam chowder, au gratin potatoes and crème brulee were fantastic as usual. Maybe it was just an off night for the entrees, but hard to recommend going back again.
The king crab was delicious. The best I have ever tasted.
Gumbo is nice and spicy. Sesame crusted tuna was excellent. Service is among the best in the area.
I was blown away that they were out of just about all of their seafood dishes at 7:30pm on Saturday night. Only thing they had left was Salmon and Shrimp. The vegetarian plates we ended up having were fantastic and topped with shrimp. Overall have had great experiences and meals with Jonah's over years but disappointment on the inventory for sure and huge miss for the restaurant.
We can to Jonah's Seafood House to get just that... Seafood. Was very disappointed when I was told at 7:15pm that all of the catch of the day are sold out and I was not able to get what I drove over an hour to get! Will not be coming back!
Celebrated my birthday and had a fantastic dinner!
My family had a pleasant experience at Jonah's Seafood House from the time we walked in to the time we left the market afterwards. Great staff, food selection, and service. I wouldn't doubt that my family will be visiting Jonah's again in the near future!
For the money you pay it's not worth it. The grouper Oscar itself was tasty, but everything on top of it and the side veggie was cool. The baked oysters and crab stuffed mushrooms were DELISCIOUS and my lobster tail was also very good. My crab legs were just ok and a small portion compared to your direct competition. The wait staff we had seemed less than joyed to be there and was slow to come around. Not unpleasant ,but not inviting either. We will stick to your competition for our seafood cravings thank you.
Wonderful seafood dinner! Our service by Ryan was excellent too . Thank you for a romantic evening ❤️
Food was good and service was prompt. We received our meal quickly. We especially liked the clam chowder.
Our food was wonderful. I can't wait to dine here again.
A truly wonderful experience. We will be back, hopefully often
Very disappointed. Food was cold and flavorless. My Mom’s filet was raw. My daughter and I had fish and chips which were cold when they arrived at the table. My other daughter had large shrimp which was the best item at the table. This is the second time that I have been disappointed and will be the last. I refuse to pay those type of prices for mediocre food.
The place is always fantastic. I had the crawfish etouffee and my girlfriend had the spicy Louisiana jambalaya. The flavors are very authentic and we leave wanting to come back for more. Thank you Jonah's for making our Valentine's day a memorable one.
Most of the food was and wine was excellent! The scallops were disappointing, as they were chewy and over cooked.
Everything was great. Not only were we celebrating V day, but also my husbands birthday. The food was wonderful and beautifully presented. The waiter was fabulous...very attentive and personable. The chocolate cake was out of this world. Can’t wait to go back.
I would not and I would advise them against going. The service and atmosphere was inviting as usual but the food was sub-par and at the price. One one our meals was good, not great but good. one was terrible and one was OK at best. The au gratin potatoes are typically one of our favorite parts of the meal but during this visit they were lacking in any redeeming quality. We were disappointed in how one of our go to restaurants left us looking for a different staple.
Consistently good service and good food. Fresh selection changes regularly which keeps the menu interesting.
First time, on a whim: incredible appetizer Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, smooth and tasty Dirty Martini's with Large Olives stuffed with Blue Cheese, out-of-this world Pan-Seared Scallops, with scrumptious Salad and Baked Potato, and an unbelievable Fried Fish Platter of Tender Fresh Fish, Large Shrimp, and perhaps the best oversized Fried Clams on the planet! The Dipping Sauces rocked my taste buds!
We love Jonah’s! Have been eating there for many years! Love the menu selection & how seafood is prepared & served. One of our favorite restaurants in this area!
Food was good, service was good, decor a little dated, little expensive in my opinion.
Salad and oysters Rockefeller were good but the our dinner we order the scallops and they weren’t cooked all the way and ruined the whole experience.
We had dinner with good friends. I really enjoyed my meal. It was too spicy for my wife, but not for me.
The service was GREAT. Waiter was attentive and the food was good. Had shrimp appetizer that was spicy but a portion was little small. Chocolate cake for my wife's birthday was a nice treat.
I will likely NOT book this restaurant via Open Table again! This is the second time I requested a table by the window and got stuck in a corner table by the kitchen! What's worse, there was an empty table for two by the window that was empty for over an hour! So no more Open Table booking for this place, I will contact the restaurant directly.
Was able to get in on New Years Eve and table was ready when we arrived. Good food and service, as it always is. We always enjoy our time at Jonah's
Early new year's eve dining. Seated immediately. Menu limited and allowed no changes due to holiday. Recently, costs have increased and menu has become more basic--not just on NYE, but overall. Decent for area seafood. Nothing special.
Good food and service.
Overall excellent place to dine.Would definitely recommend to everyone who loves seafood prepared just right.
The fish was mushy. When I called it to the attention of the waiter he walked away with no offer to compensate or to take back for another dish. As it was not edible... I basically paid $26 for potatoes...ruined or special, 38th anniversary dinner.
Slow service! Not up to regular high standards.
Food was excellent, narrow menu but with items not usually available in the area. Restaurant was loud and service a bit slow, but given that it was Christmas holiday season, that was unavoidable. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
Wife ordered filet mignon and ordered it medium and when it arrived the waitress had her cut into it and it was raw in the middle. She took it back and had them cook it longer and when she came back it was well done...she told her she could have another made but said it would take awhile so my wife said she would just try to eat it...she ended up taking it home to the dog. They took it off the bill but still was a bad experience and doubt she will wanna come there again!
Always enjoy but was loud this visit.
The food was not hot—only warm, and the coconut shrimp seemed greasy.
Such a great spot for a nice occasion or special date. Food is always excellent and service never disappoints!
Great food and service...my favorite dining spot for any special occasion.
Great meal and great ambience.
