My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The atmosphere was perfect for a night out with no kids! Our food was amazing, and we were made to feel welcome to sit and enjoy our time after our meal was over. I highly recommend Jonah's Seafood House!
Food was very good. Service not so much. The waiter seemed overall. We had empty drink cups most of our visit.?
Awesome waitress & service in bar area, nice pace & fun crowd
I live a little over an hour away and I always feel like it is a treat to visit Jonah's. Always pleasant, you can count on a enjoyable experience every time.
We used to live in Central Illinois and moved to Idaho a couple of years ago. We were back to visit family and friends and just had to come back with friends to one of our FAVORITE restaurants. Their food is so fresh and simply delicious. We especially LOVE the au gratin potatoes!!
We miss it!!!
It was a great evening and great meal! Looking forward to going back soon!
Good food. Wonderful view
Wonderful dining experience! Food was cooked perfectly. Both kids loved it. We stopped by the bakery and got our dessert to go.
It was a farewell lunch before we all leave for the winter
We had great service and an EXCELLENT meal at Jonah's... They have variety of fresh fish and other seafood options. We loved the calamari appetizer.
Other than I would like to see more comfortable seating, everything here was great. Our server was wonderful to start the experience. Appetizers were very good and our entrees were fresh, made as ordered, and delicious. Bill for 4 people with drinks was about $225 with tip. We thought it was well worth it and will come back for sure.
Restaurant had a great environment and the service was great, but the food was terrible! My mom was in from out of town so I recommended that we tried Jonah’s for some good seafood but left horribly disappointed. My mother ordered the lobster and it was undercooked & rubbery. I had the filet Oscar and it was the worst steak I have ever had in my life. No flavor and barely any hollandaise sauce. Also the crab hadn’t been washed and had crunchy sand in almost every bite. Our waitress was so kind, so we didn’t send anything back. Please please improve your menu. I would love to give it another chance. Maybe it was just a bad night.
Food was outstanding as well as the service.
We got to oyster bar and Jonah’s frequently as well as stop at the market a couple of times a month. Our server didn’t seem to care enough to check on us. Two other servers got us water refills my mother in law was never asked if she would like another glass of wine. Her steak was cooked wrong and had to wait forever to get another one and we weren’t apologized to and still charged for it until we complained. They were never brought sour cream for their potatoes. And the server just shut down when we told him how we were feeling and avoided us from there on out. It was extremely disappointing from one of my very favorite places.
Our appetizers, bang bang shrimp and crab cake, were terrific. Entrees, grouper and mahi mahi, were over-done. Glass of wine ordered to be with our entrees arrived after we were nearly finished- way too late. Overall an okay experience but somewhat disappointing.
An old standard. Never had a bad meal here. A little too loud, but food makes up for noice level.
Stellar and reasonable prices for shrimp and oysters.
Quite a few children present... and for later evening was surprised. Slow to be waited on initially but once someone took over the waitress we had was amazing!!
Excellent dinner. We’ve never had a bad experience here.
Very happy with the whole experience. Food was very good. Our waitress sam was very informative and kind. This was our second time and both times we had an enjoyable experience. First class people all the way. Highly recommended!
Food lacked flavor, service was slow, and food arrived not hot, but warm. I was very disappointed, I have had finer experiences at Jonah's, this time was a huge disappointment; a shame, it was my wife's birthday!
Our dining experience was outstanding! The atmosphere and ambiance was very nice. The service was excellent and our server knowledgeable with the products. The food was great and prepared perfectly. Will return soon.
Food was excellent. All four entrees were perfect. They even put our anniversary on the menu! Always a great dinner.
Great service& food!!
Always excellent 👍the steak and crab legs , tasty
Celebrated our 45 anniversary
Jonah’s service, food , and friendly atmosphere was the perfect place for our celebration. Ryan our server was excellent
great food and service - place is old and tired in appearance. i was there to eat so didn't care about the place and the food was excellent, however would think twice if it was a group event
Our server needs some training. We ordered a nice wine. He offered to decant it (as he should). But he didn't come to pour it. I did that myself, plus all refills. He didn't refill water glasses unless we flagged him down. He didn't check to see if we were pleased with the food. He didn't ask if we wanted dessert. The restaurant was not busy at all. It was odd.
My assumption is he has never waited tables before. More training? Please!
We do love the food, however.
Wonderful seafood selection
Our waitress was very nice. We started with a glass of wine and crab cakes. Both very good. I had the blackened grouper, a little dry. My husband had the Parmesan sea bass, very good. Had mashed potatoes for a side very good also. Had carrot cake for dessert. It was delicious! We had a window table which was very nice. Beautiful sunset. We will come back and yry something different. Maybe the crab legs. Great selection of wine and dinners.
We had a party of four and had a good time. Everyone's food was good and most people were happy with their choices. The Hawaiian fish dish was dry and not flavorful without the sauce. I also felt the vegetables on the fish dishes were pretty sparce, while the sauted zucchini was good, there wasn't much of it. The Halibut dish was delicious, as was the 2 meat dishes. Their take on bananas foster was very yummy and enough for all four of us to share.
The staff was welcoming, polite and attentive.
Nice atmosphere with a wide selection of appetizer and entree choices. The chocolate cake for dessert was AMAZING!!
I enjoyed Jonah's. Our waiter was less than outstanding when he greeted us and took our order. He warmed up a bit over the 2 hrs but....
Excellent meal and service
Our server was fantastic and so was our dinner!!! Food was served quickly and portions were more than adequate-we are repeat customers and will be visiting again, soon! We are looking forward to our next visit!
Great place to dine. Have eaten here many times. A+++++
Hard chairs brought straight from my grandma's kitchen. Horribly overpriced food served with no care or pride in presentation. 3 meals cost $143. The server acted as if he was forced to wait on his customers. We reserved a table. When we first came in they told us they would open in 10 min. We sat in view of the hostess station and watched them seat other guests before finally having to approach her...15 minutes later! We, and other guests were seated near the bar where the waiters and bartender were having a belching contest. Classy...NOT!!!
I ordered the Hawaiian Ono fish grilled, plain.
The fish was dry. Tasted like a dry pork Chop to me.
My appetizer was good and the clam chowder was ok.
Waitress was very personable.
I thought the meal was expensive for what you got.
I enjoyed most of my dinner but my husband was very disappointed in the very small portion of his dinner. He ordered the ahi tuna. He was expecting the steak size ahi tuna dinner for the cost of $31.80. What he received was, at the most, a 3 oz tuna very thinly sliced in medallions the size of half dollars. It almost looked as though they had put odd cuttings of tuna and pressed them all together and rolled them in a round roll then sliced them up into the paper thin slices. It was presented on the plate side by side to make it appear that there were many pieces. We spent over $100 and he was very disappointed. I was disappointed because he didn’t enjoy his dinner. I would not recommend this place. We should have asked If prepared in a roll, ahi tuna does not naturally come in a roll. If you are going to charge astronomical prices, you should make certain that the product is also astronomical. Thank you.
Server was awesome and the Manager went out of his way to make our 18th Anniversary amazing.
