Sweet and spicy! Chopped and tossed with onion, peppers, asian ginger, and spice
Pan-fried, blackened or grilled! With red beans & rice
Shitake, portabella & oyster mushrooms w/ caramelized onions, & provolone
We ate here for the first time in quite a while. We were seated and served in a timely manner. The appetizers were delicious and our entrees did not disappoint. The halibut was excellent and presented well. My wife had the coconut shrimp which she really enjoyed. We will return in the near future.
Amazing place! Food was spectacular and service was great! We will definitely eat here again! We didn't save room for dessert...and we regretted that when the table next to us had theirs served!
Love coming to Jonah’s. Seafood is always flavorful and cooked perfectly. We will be back soon.
If you like tuna, you will not be disappointed. Whether the appetizer or entree, you will enjoy. One of the best fish restaurants in downstate Illinois.
Amazing food! Great staff! Fabulous decor! Great place to eat. You don’t want to miss this place on your next stop to Peoria!
Decent meal for the cost. We were sitted towards the back so our attention from our waiter was limited.
Food was very very good! Service was acceptable but not great. Coffee was always cold.
The service was amazing. The food was not good. Ordered the tuna appetizer and that was the only thing that was good, should have just ordered that. My coconut shrimp tasted like it came from the freezer. We had dinner there a few years ago and the quality of the food has seriously gone down hill
We were at Jonah's to celebrate our son's birthday. Jonah's was his choice after a previous visit. I had the Hawaiian Red Snapper, my wife the Ono and our son the Filet and King Crab. All meals were prepared perfectly and were delicious. We started off the meal with a Shrimp Cocktail and cup of Gumbo. The Gumbo was wonderfully spicy. We would highly recommend dining at Jonah's!
The food was delicious; Clam chowder, gumbo, shrimp appetizer, scallops! All very good. Kennedy, our server, was attentive and efficient. We look forward to going back!
Very good food, fast service, waiter was very helpful in describing the menu. Was super busy but food still came out fast and the service was amazing. Will be back soon.
As always, the parking lot was packed when my date and I arrived, we were able to find a spot relatively easily however. While we were early, we were taken to our table promptly at our reservation time. The service was excellent and the food was beyond delicious. My filet was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. My date’s salmon was also cooked perfectly. While they were out of calamari, out waitress recommended the fried oysters and my date and I were extremely pleased with this choice. Wait time for our order was more than acceptable, and overall, our experience was memorable. While pricing is not for a casual dining date, it was well worth every penny. You will not find a better seafood experience in central Illinois, and perhaps all of the Midwest!
Don't go here the day after a holiday. We had a 5:30 reservation on February 15th. I hope the people that dined there the night before had a good time. because several menu items were not available to us at 5:30 the next evening. The people at the next table complained and got some adjustments and a free dessert. We just had poor service and my wife had shrimp unstead of the scallops that were on the menu. I skipped my appitizer, because they were out of calimari. After we ordered, we realized the waitress didn't offer salads. We're not complainers, so we just ate and left.
This is a shame, because this was our favorite EP restaurant and where we had our wedding reception. We probably won't go back.
The food was okay but nothing to get super excited about. The crab rangoon was a very good appetizer, with lots of crab meat and flavor. We had the swordfish (the special) which was a nice fish dish, but did not have the flavor or consistency of swordfish. We also had the filet and crab, which was an underwhelming amount of crab, but otherwise had high quality ingredients and meat.
All of this may not apply to daily dining here, because there was a special menu for valentines day.
We have always loved It here. We made reservations and still had to wait a significant amount of time. Our waiter had 0 personality and never checked on us. The food was so bad. Honestly felt like I was eating at a chain restaurant. We will not be back.
An amazing experience and the service was spectacular!!
Wait staff was friendly and quick on their feet. This was my first time dining here and I will definitely be back.
Learned the oyster bar isn't just oysters,so next time will try that.
Seated within 5 minutes of our reservation on Valentine's Day. Service great and food arrived quickly. And it was good.
They had a reduced menu, coleslaw was dry, fries were cold. Bread was good, crab rangoon was good.....Pricey
Every thing about the dinner was very good. The view was very good also as we looked across the river to see the Peoria skyline.
Valentines evening. Very enjoyable.
My meal was terrible the fish and chips were just a clump of breading.
They didn't have any fish left at 7:00 and the last time the same thing happened. It was my husband's bday and he was very disappointed.
Love eating at Jonah’s. This time my snapper was dry, but that was the first time that happened. Will return. U
We had reservations for 6:30 but weren’t seated til 7. I guess they had a really large party downstairs. And the parking lot was so full, we drove around for about 15 minutes before until someone left. My clam chowder was very good and my steak and crab was very good; however, the waiter forgot my baked potato and I had to ask for it. When it did arrive, it wasn’t fully cooked and was hard. My husband said his steak was just ok.
It was a great venue right on the river! The service was a little slow, but the waitress was very attentive and kept us up to date. The food was excellent!
Great meal! Will definitely go back!
Jonah's never disappoints! We celebrated our 35th anniversary on a Saturday evening. The food was fantastic but the best part of the meal was the service. Kennedy was very attentive and appeared to anticipate our every need. She also was very kind and did not rush our meal. Thank you Kennedy!!
Parmesan Mahi Mahi was very bland with no flavor at all. Server did not come to the table after the food was brought out for about 20 minutes and the dining floor was not busy. The server was very friendly, but was not present much. Had to ask for water twice before getting any. We usually have very good experiences at Jonah’s so hopefully it was just an off night, but it was not good. We won’t be back for a long time.
Food and service was fantastic. I’m from New England and I asked the waiter if he would recommend the chowda’ and he said yes. Spot on!
Excellent Food. The sweet augratin potatoes and the "Jumbo" soup were fabulous!
Decided to stop for lunch; we each had amazing salads. You must try the seven layer salad! The waitress overheard me mention my husband’s birthday, and she brought out a piece of chocolate cake. Great food, great service, and a beautiful view of the Illinois River.
We went to Jonah's for New Year's Eve dinner. While they had a smaller menu because of the occasion, there was still plenty to choose from for both my husband and I. The food was fantastic! We always enjoy our dinners when we visit Jonah's.
Our appetizer (calimari) was served shortly after our soup and salad, which we were still eating. My wife's scallops were good, but my fish, which I've never eaten before was dry and tepid. Thankful it came with a cream sauce which made it edible. I won't order that dish again. It was similar to a heavy sword fish, only drier and less flavor. Desserts were good. Overall, for the price, meal was average at best.
Absolutely wonderful birthday dinner with my wife.
They gave her the biggest, most delicious piece of ooey gooey chocolate cake for free as a birthday gift1
Have stopped at Jonah's several times when traveling through Peoria and it is usually fine but this visit was very good across the board.
This is me and my girlfriend's go-to spot for special occasions. The scallops never disappoint!
Over priced, food was luke warm at best! Probably will not go back
Good food, didn't seem like there were as many choices in seafood this time. Lots of alcohol choices!
