One of our meals was delicious and what I’ve come to expect from this establishment. The other was ok but nothing special and definitely not worth the price. The fish was tender and moist, it just lacked any flavor.
The food was fabulous. We love celebrating our birthdays and anniversary at Jonas.
Food was exceptional as always!
One of the best dirty martini's around - excellent Blue Cheese stuff olives!!!! Both myself and my wife's dinners were very good as well. We both love Jonah's - just don't get there enough!
We had an amazing dinner at Jonah’s!! Jess was our waitress and she was excellent!! Delicious food and the chocolate cake was a perfect ending to our meal.
Good place for decent, fresh
seafood in the Midwest.
I’ve always been happy with Jonah’s. The food is always delicious, the restaurant itself is beautiful, and the service is always excellent!
Good food and great service.
Perfect as always. New updates were gorgeous! Will be back very soon.
Excellent experience, food was delicious and our waiter was amazing. Highly recommend Jonahs, best seafood restaurant in the Peoria area. Looking forward to our next visit.
Gorgeous restaurant. But quite shocked to see zero socially distances tables, guests not wearing masks (although staff were). There was no attempt on part of staff to even ask patrons about social distancing or masks. Overly crowded. Table was for 7 pm but we had to wait until 730. Food was okay. Service was wanting. Took too long to get us drinks and refills and food.
Made a reservation for 6:30pm. Wasn't seated until 7:15pm. Dinner took about an hour to even get to our table, and the food wasn't even hot. The halibut entrée was extremely bland and dry and came with 5 green beans. Paid about 26 dollars for that dish. They clearly overbooked themselves and couldn't keep up. It was my husband and I's first date night out in over a year (he was deployed), and it was such a huge let down.
Great food, they were not doing social distance seating as it was packed, which is why the service was bad and very slow. We were there over 1 hour and 45 minutes and another couple was seated after us and got service better and left 45 minutes before we even got our check.
We made a special trip to Jonah's for the raw oysters only to find out they were sold out. The table we were sat at was in a corner that the waitresses had to squeeze past us to get to the other side of the booths. After being bumped several times we moved the table so we were out of the way. The dinners we ordered were delicious and the waitress was very pleasant.
The quality has plummeted. Seated 20 minutes after our reservation time. Ordered shrimp cocktail and received 6 shrimp on a plate... 1 hour 15 mins after ordering our meal we finally gave up and left having never received our dinners. As we left we were told they had lost our order... will not return here. There was also no social distancing between tables and when seated our table had not been cleaned.
All the food was excellent. We had the Wahoo, Scallops and Lobster/ Filet between the three of us. Our server was great. I would eat here more often if it were a little less expensive. But great for a special occasion. Our special occasion was that we were celebrating that Jonah's has reopened.
We ate here for the first time in quite a while. We were seated and served in a timely manner. The appetizers were delicious and our entrees did not disappoint. The halibut was excellent and presented well. My wife had the coconut shrimp which she really enjoyed. We will return in the near future.
Amazing place! Food was spectacular and service was great! We will definitely eat here again! We didn't save room for dessert...and we regretted that when the table next to us had theirs served!
Love coming to Jonah’s. Seafood is always flavorful and cooked perfectly. We will be back soon.
If you like tuna, you will not be disappointed. Whether the appetizer or entree, you will enjoy. One of the best fish restaurants in downstate Illinois.
Amazing food! Great staff! Fabulous decor! Great place to eat. You don’t want to miss this place on your next stop to Peoria!
Decent meal for the cost. We were sitted towards the back so our attention from our waiter was limited.
Food was very very good! Service was acceptable but not great. Coffee was always cold.
The service was amazing. The food was not good. Ordered the tuna appetizer and that was the only thing that was good, should have just ordered that. My coconut shrimp tasted like it came from the freezer. We had dinner there a few years ago and the quality of the food has seriously gone down hill
We were at Jonah's to celebrate our son's birthday. Jonah's was his choice after a previous visit. I had the Hawaiian Red Snapper, my wife the Ono and our son the Filet and King Crab. All meals were prepared perfectly and were delicious. We started off the meal with a Shrimp Cocktail and cup of Gumbo. The Gumbo was wonderfully spicy. We would highly recommend dining at Jonah's!
The food was delicious; Clam chowder, gumbo, shrimp appetizer, scallops! All very good. Kennedy, our server, was attentive and efficient. We look forward to going back!
Very good food, fast service, waiter was very helpful in describing the menu. Was super busy but food still came out fast and the service was amazing. Will be back soon.
As always, the parking lot was packed when my date and I arrived, we were able to find a spot relatively easily however. While we were early, we were taken to our table promptly at our reservation time. The service was excellent and the food was beyond delicious. My filet was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. My date’s salmon was also cooked perfectly. While they were out of calamari, out waitress recommended the fried oysters and my date and I were extremely pleased with this choice. Wait time for our order was more than acceptable, and overall, our experience was memorable. While pricing is not for a casual dining date, it was well worth every penny. You will not find a better seafood experience in central Illinois, and perhaps all of the Midwest!
Don't go here the day after a holiday. We had a 5:30 reservation on February 15th. I hope the people that dined there the night before had a good time. because several menu items were not available to us at 5:30 the next evening. The people at the next table complained and got some adjustments and a free dessert. We just had poor service and my wife had shrimp unstead of the scallops that were on the menu. I skipped my appitizer, because they were out of calimari. After we ordered, we realized the waitress didn't offer salads. We're not complainers, so we just ate and left.
This is a shame, because this was our favorite EP restaurant and where we had our wedding reception. We probably won't go back.
The food was okay but nothing to get super excited about. The crab rangoon was a very good appetizer, with lots of crab meat and flavor. We had the swordfish (the special) which was a nice fish dish, but did not have the flavor or consistency of swordfish. We also had the filet and crab, which was an underwhelming amount of crab, but otherwise had high quality ingredients and meat.
All of this may not apply to daily dining here, because there was a special menu for valentines day.
We have always loved It here. We made reservations and still had to wait a significant amount of time. Our waiter had 0 personality and never checked on us. The food was so bad. Honestly felt like I was eating at a chain restaurant. We will not be back.
An amazing experience and the service was spectacular!!
Wait staff was friendly and quick on their feet. This was my first time dining here and I will definitely be back.
Learned the oyster bar isn't just oysters,so next time will try that.
Seated within 5 minutes of our reservation on Valentine's Day. Service great and food arrived quickly. And it was good.
They had a reduced menu, coleslaw was dry, fries were cold. Bread was good, crab rangoon was good.....Pricey
Every thing about the dinner was very good. The view was very good also as we looked across the river to see the Peoria skyline.
Valentines evening. Very enjoyable.
My meal was terrible the fish and chips were just a clump of breading.
They didn't have any fish left at 7:00 and the last time the same thing happened. It was my husband's bday and he was very disappointed.
