We brought our son and some friends for a birthday dinner. The team led by The manager, Keith, made us feel special and accommodated our large group with some last minute adds. Our waiter was great and very attentive even though he had to handle our table mostly on his own. The food was top notch and delicious! We’ll be back. Thanks so much!
It was an excellent dining experience to say the least. The waiter was extremely friendly and offered great tips on the menu! Would come again!
Very frequent flyer here at the restaurant, but for the first time we brought a date to the restaurant. She was blown away by the service provided by our server Jonathan. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, and was super fun to interact with! Not to mention the food was on point, and could not think of a better place in Madison to get High quality food. Definitely gotta recommend their new pasta item they added. You will not regret just how tasty it is👏🏼
Everyone was very friendly and they took great care of us.
Great restaurant, good food, nice ambiance, friendly staff!
Noisy but great food
Fabulous as always. If we have a special occasion to celebrate, this is our go to spot. Great food. Great service. You won't be disappointed.
Great service and staff
We received a window table and had wonderful service. I think one server was being trained by the other but it was difficult to tell as they both did a fantastic job.
We started with the Calamari which was delightful. It was served with warm bread.
My wife had bacon wrapped scalloped with whipped potatoes. They were very large are cooked perfectly.
My daughter had the Tuna Tarter for her entrée and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I had the 16 ounce Ribeye and it was cooked prefect and on a brown sauce reduction that was to die for.
We also ordered the Asparagus for a side to share. It was wonderful!
We were each given a glass of Champagne for my wife' s birthday along with dessert.
It was a wonderful evening and we stayed away too long, we will return in the near future.
Food was great, drinks were great, service was really great, but if there is a table of over served people being loud and obnoxious at times don't expect management to do anything about it at times. It was a real mood killer in what was otherwise a great place. You would think they would do something for the majority versus the 4 rude customers.
All aspects of our meal were delicious, from the ahi tuna appetizer to the wedge salad to our entrees, the ribeye steak and crab stuffed trout. We wish we would have chosen the mashed potatoes as our sides as they looked amazing.
We were a party of seven, which can be challenging, but we had delicious food and very good service.
We had an amazing dinner at Johnny Delmonico's. The team made me feel special as we were celebrating my birthday. The food was great; steaks prepared exactly how we requested them, and the birthday dessert was tasty. I recommend this restaurant to celebrate special occasions.
Loved our server- he made it a great evening. Superb food and drinks. Expensive but worth it for a memorable evening out.
I'll staff are wearing mask and they require a mask at the door so I felt exceptionally safe the food was amazing, the drinks were on point!!!!
Great service and very good food. Recommendations were right on for steaks and appetizers.
We had a great meal, start to finish. Had a nice night out!
Steak was amazing, the mushroom appetizer was aweful.
The drinks were delicious and we were seated at a table with a great view of downtown Madison.
Very disappointing experience. Wait staff, lobster bisque and hash browns were very good. Creme brûlée and bacon poivre were mediocre. Mash potatoes and asparagus were okay. However, we ordered two filet mignons and 1 bone-in aged ribeye asking for them to be cooked medium which is typically considered pink in the middle. The steaks arrived very well done. When the waitperson checked back with us, we let her know our thoughts about the steaks. She was very gracious and then the manager came over and in an aggressive, belittling manner proceeded to tell us we did not know what “medium” meant. He even pulled out a flashlight, hesitated when he saw it all gray in the middle, then proceeded to double down with his insinuation that we should know to order “medium rare” if we want some pink in the middle, as if we’ve never ordered steak before. After some give and take, he had 2 new filets prepared. After 3 hours we left unhappy with the experience. If the manager had handled the situation differently, we might have given them a second chance, but not after his attitude.
Kerry our server was top notch! The filet Mignon was excellent and portions were big! This was the 1st time I had to ask for a to go box when ordering a steak! Highly recommend the Garllic Mashed Potatos! Most other places put way to much garlic in them, these were perfect. I've dined here a dozen or so times and never had a bad experience or even an average one. Worth the price! I will be back for more....
The prices do not match the ambiance, the service, or the food quality. Everything was O.K. One person in our party had to return his French Onion Soup because it was cold. My husband and I had scallops that were a bit rubbery and not well seared. The sides of mashed potatoes and rice are MUCH too large (an unnecessary waste of food). Our desserts were good (trio of flan & chocolate bomb). All-in-all, the protein sizes are small (for the price), the starch portions are too big, and the vegetable sides are an additional cost.
Incredible spot. Went too long since my last visit but glad it was everything I remembered and more.
They were quite busy but service still was very good. Steak cooked to perfection with everything else delicious. Chose to go with cocktails over wine with bar staff not disappointing.
My favorite place to eat in Madison.
Steak was excellent and prepared perfect. Service was slow. Waited a long time for drinks. Acoustics were bad. Room we were in was extremely loud.
We love this place!! Eat here all the time when visit our son. Service is exceptional and food is amazing!!
Reallly love the experience and loved the view it was for my wife’s birthday and she loved every minute.
The food, as always, was excellent. However, the service overall was much to be desired. I booked our reservation for my birthday, and specified that when I made the reservation. There was no mention of this at all at the restaurant, despite tables on all sides celebrating birthdays. The server was newer, so I will give her a bit of slack. However, she took plates away from us multiple times with utensils still in hand because we weren't done! There is no excuse for that! The server also tried to rush us into ordering seconds after sitting down. Overall, I love the food, but will question whether or not to go there for my next special occasion.
We truly enjoyed our night out here. Wonderful service, top notch amazing food, and a nice quiet atmosphere.
Went to Johnny Delmonico’s for a special date night and was highly disappointed. I’ve been to lots of steakhouses/high-end restaurants across the country, and the food was subpar, especially compared to the price. Started with the calamari, which was probably the best thing on their menu to be honest. Next, we got the Caesar salad, which was pretty standard. My boyfriend and I ordered the surf and turf (10 oz of steak and 1 lb. crab legs) to split and was told it would be $90. “Ok… fine.” $90 for steak and 1 lb. of crab isn’t unreasonable… but when the crab came out it was 1 piece of limp, cold, dry crab. Huge disappointment!!! Not as much as when the bill came and we saw that we were charged $90 for that ONE piece of crab, separate from the steak… totaling $150 for steak and 1 piece of cold, dry crab. I don’t mind spending the money on high, quality food… but that was not it!!!! Don’t waste your money here PLEASE!!!! Go to Ruth Chris or somewhere actually worth it.
Had a wonderful birthday meal for my sweetheart at Johnny Delmonico’s.
Very Nice atmosphere and food was very good
The service was welcoming, warm, and professional! Our entire meal was delicious! The salad was huge and perfectly dressed. Steaks were great, even the well done one. The fantastic risotto alone will bring us back! Sparkling rose and old fashions were very good.
Short staffed? Took 25 min to get beverage after sitting. Side dish missing with meal. Server was very nice, and professional, but obviously stretched to cover too many tables.
Delicious food and great service. We will definitely be back.
both steaks were ordered medium rare and we felt they were medium.
Everything about our meal was perfect! The wait staff are all so friendly and helpful.
Our server, Kerry H., was OUTSTANDING! Very helpful in assisting with wine and food selections. Blue cheese topping overpowered the steak, but everything else was great! Looking forward to a return visit.
Meat may have been a little too salty
Noise level was contributed to by a large group
Dining experience and ambience matched the hype. An absolutely lovely evening. If you are lucky, Ian is your server. Charming and professional.
