About Johnny Cascone's
We respect our roots. Customers enjoy classic dishes and attentive service in a comfortable space with modern décor. Adaptation is also important. Cascone family members young and old pay attention to contemporary tastes and participate in discussions to balance the restaurant's traditions with fresh ideas.
Dining at any of our restaurants is a homecoming of sorts where guests can relax, enjoy each other's company, and celebrate life's big moments and small rituals. That communal approach is an extension of what we value as a business; tradition matters; family is important; serve your community.

Johnny Cascone's Ratings and Reviews
The food was good. Cascone’s is a great Italian place. I ordered the Crazy Alfredo - a mistake - it was OK and so heavy on sauce it was like a brick and I only ate part of it.
Tortellini came drenched with same super heavy Alfredo.
It was still ok just too rich for my taste.
Ambiance was acceptable and service was ok at best.
Would go back and order different food though.
Another outstanding meal at Johnny Cascone's. Food was up to its usual excellence and our server was great. She was there when we needed her and not when we didn't. The Maître D was very good even though besieged by a large Saturday Evening crowd. He found us an appropriate table and stopped by several times to make sure that we were happy with it. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable Birthday dinner.
Food quality was poor. Our server was rushed and very unfriendly. She did not check to see that our food did not come out properly. The live music was much to loud for the size of the restaurant. We had to scream at each other and our server to be heard. It was very uncomfortable and not an enjoyable evening. We are frequent customers, but will think twice about returning anytime soon.
I think my only complaint was how long we had to wait to order the food and then at the end. We were probably the loudest bunch in there, but there was live music and great atmosphere. I think the wait was due to the fact that they might've been understaffed. It seemed like our server was taking care of a lot of tables. She was great, though! We've been coming here for years and actually, I have one more note. I rarely get the chicken fettucini alfredo so I forget their chicken is fried. It would be nice if the server would mention it when someone orders that or if it could mention it on the menu. There's not a description of that item because it doesn't seem necessary, but a quick note of 'hey, this is fried, not grilled' would be nice. That's all! Great food, nonetheless!
We arrived Sunday night for our reservation. There was a waiting room full of people. After a long time the host showed up and put our name at the bottom of a long list. When I asked about our reservation he said everyone on the list had a reservation. It was obvious we would be waiting a long time for a table, so we left, went down the street and had a great meal at Carrabba's.
We always try to attend when the KC Kicks band is playing and as always it was a great evening. The service was very good. The food was not as good as usual but we do consider the kitchen having to put out plates to a full house in a short time. We celebrated our anniversary as the band played at our wedding. If you haven’t attended one of these events we highly recommend it and we continue to recommend Cascones for lunch and dinnner anytime.
My GF and I had a lovely time on our second visit to JCs. GF had CANNELONI FLORENTINE and I had the VEAL PARMIGIANA. Both excellent dishes. We also tried the Crab Chowder--a special that night and it was so good I got an extra order to take home. It was a large enough portion to get two bowls out of it for $5! Also ordered the stuffed artichoke which was good but messy.
Shout out to our excellent waiter, Matt who took very good care of us and satisfied our every need. We are definitely going back and hope Matt is working that night.
Red sauce is sweet and no real flavor. The chicken they used for the Spiedini... garlic was how they killed it, then they added more when cooking it. Smaller portions than what I expected. And the server tried to pad the bill a little with a couple of salads (petty).
We often go to Cascone's to grab an early bird dinner, a meal later in the evening to enjoy the music, for family celebrations, Sunday for the great fried chicken, lunch with the delicious Italian steak sandwich, and when the KC Kicks band plays so you can see we are fans. The food and service are consistently good. This visit was no exception. We will be back soon.
Our experience didn't start off well. Our waitress, Malinda, did not even greet us, but immediately asked what we wanted to drink. Two of us ordered root beer which ended up coming in a bottle. I said to her, "Do we not get free refills? " She said rudely, " No, I thought you knew what you were doing ." Later she did offer a refill of another drink, but this was after we were done eating. Her manner through the whole process was very unprofessional. She did try to be nicer, but it was hard to
make up for the damage already done.
The food, however, was very good as usual.
