About Johnny Cascone's
We respect our roots. Customers enjoy classic dishes and attentive service in a comfortable space with modern décor. Adaptation is also important. Cascone family members young and old pay attention to contemporary tastes and participate in discussions to balance the restaurant's traditions with fresh ideas.
Dining at any of our restaurants is a homecoming of sorts where guests can relax, enjoy each other's company, and celebrate life's big moments and small rituals. That communal approach is an extension of what we value as a business; tradition matters; family is important; serve your community.

Johnny Cascone's Ratings and Reviews
We have been going there for years and always good food and friendly service!
love the seafood stuffed artichoke and the stuffed mushrooms for apps!
Their diablo is wonderful as is the white fish! A little heavy on the salad dressing, might be a good idea to serve on the side??..
Overall, love you guys!!
The overall experience was good. When we got the bill there were 2 more charges on the bill. We weren’t told in advance about these charges. Why would you charge for a spicier tomato sauce on Veal Parmigiana? Does it really cost more to make it spicy? And I substituted sauté spinach for the pasta on the Chicken Soto. Is spinach so expensive it couldn’t be substituted? I don’t appreciate being nickel & dimmed when eating out.
We love coming to Johnny's on Sundays. They have absolutely the best fried chicken, yes I said Fried chicken in town. We start with the neck bones which are out of this world, order the Sunday special which is again the best fried chicken -just like I used to make. The meal comes with mashed potatoes and green beans but I prefer their version of "hasbrowns" which are potatoes and onions and I love the Italian grilled vegetables. Save room for dessert by taking home one of the four pieces of chicken you will get and don't miss out on the homemade peach cobbler. My understanding is a sweet little lady comes in weekly just to make the desserts.
You can't go wrong with Johnny's. Can't wait to go back again!
We have been to Johnny Cascone's multiple times and enjoyed each visit. There was a keyboard player the last time we ate and our table was right next to him. It was not overly loud, but it did make having a conversation difficult. The food was excellent as always and the waitress very friendly and fun. Very generous portions.
I have been a customer of both restaurants for many years. The food and service is always great. It is louder than I would prefer but most restaurants are now. I cannot say that I have been to the 91st Street restaurant for lunch....always for dinners and a party for my 60th birthday. Nothing but good experiences.
We go to Cascone’s fairly often and rarely have a problem. We made a reservation for Monday night as the KC Kicks band was playing. Often the restaurant is full when this band plays however bad weather effected attendance so they were not as busy. We were served our salads and after a few bites our entrees arrived with no apology. The message is you need to rush and unfortunately the mood of a relaxing dinner is lost. If you decline your entree it will just set in the kitchen getting cold while you finish your salad. This is a service issue between the kitchen and the wait staff. We left our standard 20% tip however if we have this experience again will refigure. The food was acceptable other than the veal Parmesan which lacked any seasoning including salt. We had a great evening due to the band but dinner was a bust.
Another fantastic meal and experience. Loved the love music - they even played a special request song for Our daughter’s birthday (Watermelon man- an oldie!). Service top notch and the food so good. I had the filet- wow so good. Everyone else had pasta... we all smiled and were quiet as we are. We loaded up on appetizers too... special occasion after all... antipasto, fried mozzarella, and a roasted artichoke... delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
We had a delightful Christmas Eve lunch with friends. I was happy that the space was not very crowded at 1:00, but started to pick up at about 2:00. The service we received was excellent, a very attentive server. I have always found Johnny Cascones to be excellent food, either dine in or carry out. It is my go to spot for my special occasions
The food was all right nothing spectacular, but the portions were sizeable. The price was a bit much for the quality of the food, even with the generous portion size. I feel they could have used more spices to thier advantage. The service was not very good...The server was more concenerned with a 6 person table then our 2 person table and they had to tell them we needed water. The wait for the food was good they did have some nice live music. The aumbiance was really good.
