What an outstanding be venue. Outstanding food and service in all aspects.
Seat right at 5, server did a great job. I had the filet (outstanding), wife had the whole grilled snapper also excellent. Manager came to our table a couple of times. I really like that. Pricey but the food was worth every penny.
Everything about my experience was spot on! Loved the service, the food and the ambiance. Best vodka martini EVER ❤️
It was ok. I remember the seafood tower differently but maybe that was somewhere else. It was only average and overpriced.
GREAT! We are from Tennessee and have brought friends with us to eat here 4 times in the last few years. Always beyond our expectations.
Great food drinks and music! Will be back on my return trip to Orlando.
Overly generous size salads and sides. Food was delicious and wait staff awesome
Food was average. Brought wrong vintage of wine and tried to charge a higher price. Argued with us about this. Would not recommend and would not go back.
It took 20 minutes for the waiter to even take a drink order. Later he lost our order then forgot a piece of it. The manager did try to make it right by compensating a drink order so that was nice. Too expensive of a restaurant to have poor service
We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and unfortunately, on the last two visits to this restaurant, we have had extremely poor service. Servers on both occasions were not attentive and the food orders came out wrong. Both female servers were more interested in us leaving good comments for them on TripAdviser in order for them to progress to another level in the restaurant. Talk of the Town restaurants are known for their great food, service and atmosphere but unfortunately we are not as impressed as we used to be.
Overall a very poor experience. We were greeted with a unhelpful check in desk who did not appreciate having children in the restaurant, we made this clear in the booking.. also when we went to the bar, the tender was very grumpy and we were moved around three times before we could settle down. Then our table was over 40 minutes late, which did not help with young children. It took a further 20 minutes to get our orders taken. The food was good but well overpriced at $200 for 5 mains and a bottle of wine. As we were finishing the bill was chucked at us in an unacceptable and rude way. A terrible experience and something I would avoid at all costs
This was one of our favorite places for a night out, but this time the wait staff kept leaving the dirty dish cart right next to me. Service started slow and got slower. T-bone steak was tough, I left more than half on the plate. Too many other choices in Orlando to go back here.
I would never go back or recommend this restaurant . Its expensive and the service was awful. made reservations and still waited 20 minutes to be sited and the waiter was horrible . Never again . I never thought I would hate a restaurant until now.
First time dining here. Waiting area is rather small and kinda crowded. They have an outdoor area and bar and the servers had to go in front of hostess stand to serve outside customers. Only real negative. Food was great. It is a little pricy but the amount of food for price was not disappointing at all. Want to go back soon. Happy hour menu daily 4:30 to 6:30. Dined on a Friday night. Good thing we had reservation as only walk up seating at that time was outside.
We must have had dinner at Johnnie's at least 15 times a year over the past 10 years. Food was as excellent as ever and our server very pleasant. Pity they took so make dishes off the menu a month ago. We'll not be going as much in the future as we don't want to eat the same thing every time.
Fantastic food with attentive service, professional and friendly without being too pushy.
We were located behind the bar, which was a pretty uninspiring location but we were dining earlier and had daughter with us, so were not that bothered. Fish tank kept us entertained and after a long day in the parks, peace and tranquility were much appreciated, over the jock type banter proliferating in the bar area, where the latest batch of conference attendees were trying to out brag each other.
Would definitely come back for food and service, on a future trip to FL. Would put on some glad rags next time, as whilst anything goes, park attire felt slightly out of place
It was very good service and the food and ambiance was excellent. Very expensive but worth it.
Our waiter Daniel P. Was Awesome. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were impressive. I can't wait to bring the wife again.
Enjoyed another great visit and our server, Sarah, was the BEST!
The food the was overly price for rhe taste. I had the yellow tail. That was supposed to be blacken. It was not. It was more like bronzed. It lack flavor. It is truly a tourist trap.
My wife and I had a spectacular experience at Johnnie’s for the first time. I highly recommend Johnnie’s to any couple for an excellent dining experience. The staff was terrific. Our waiter, Tommy, was exceptional and I highly recommend asking for his service during your visit to Johnnie’s Hideaway.
Our waiter didn't pay attention at all Salad plates still on the table at the end of meal waited a long time for drinks...slow slow service
Best experience ever!! Great staff and a private dining room for large groups! Absolutely amazing service and the food was great! We had a private party with our own dining room and two servers who stayed with us for our 3 hour meal. Thank you so much!
Matt was our server and he was so sweet. It drizzled and he quickly came over to help us move to a table that was covered. We enjoyed steak and their all you can eat stone crab! All delicious and again Matt was so attentive so we didn’t have to wait for reorders. Great experience and would absolutely recommend !
The service and the food was amazing!! We will definitely have to go back!!! A family friendly awesome place!!! I loved the draft beer!!!
Great dinner, great waiter.
We are in Orlando for spring break. Food was great although my husband and I were not fans of the Mediterranean salad. Great experience!!
We were totally underdressed for this restaurant but no one seemed to care - we must not have been paying attention to how nice it was when we booked it! Super nice - Food was excellent - Server was super nice took great care of us!
Good wine list but a bit on the expensive side - way more than double retail, which is an acceptable level of markup. Stone crab claws were "average", edible but not great and at $10.00 EACH, it was a ripoff. Will be a long time before we return.
I ordered the grouper and my wife ordered the trigger fish and both were fantastic. Our guest order the liver and it was mushy and his wife ordered the scallops and was not to her liking. I was embarrassed as this was one of my favorite restaurants and I brought our friends there for a super meal.
We made reservations enroute to the restaurant and arrived before reservation time. We were told to wait then about 5 minutes later we were told to follow the hostess. After following her, she turned us around and took us back to host stand informing us the table was not ready. At that point, another hostess came to the host stand and a discussion/disagreement began between the two of them. The first hostess then began speaking to someone on her radio earpiece asking whether she could seat us in someone's section. Didn't catch the name. A back and forth then began between the two of them. A few minutes later a third lady came to the host stand and she began clicking through something on the computer screen as the three of them were discussing something in a very low ma her so we couldn't here. This went on for a few more minutes then we were told to follow the hostess again. As we were heading in the same direction as the first time, we were turned around again being told again that the table was not ready. As we were escorted back to the host stand again, we just kept walking out.
We were in Orlando for a weekend with the grandchildren at Disney World, and we had a free night before the gang arrived. So, we went out to Disney Springs/Lake Buena Vista area looking for a place to have dinner to celebrate our birthdays (two days before and three days after). We were looking for a good martini and a good steak and we found both.
Great service. Average food. Overpriced.
Always enjoy Johnny’s. If you want a place to go that is unassuming, cool with great food, great service and a nice casual atmosphere to have dinner, then this is the place. Great for a dinner for two or a group of friends out for the night, you can’t go wrong. If you’re overdosed on the parks, then go here for a dose of normal life in the middle of all the park madness. When we are in the area, this is the go to place.
Friendly, helpful staff. Many choices of entrees. Complimentary valet.
Had a nice cocktail in the bar. Had a steak dinner, steak was tasty but for somebody on a special diet like keto there was not enough non-starchy sides should be allowed to pay the difference to upgrade to another vegetable, was told I could not pay the difference just had to get an additional side although I could not eat potatoes. Service was pretty good, but we had three different desserts at the table and they were very lackluster the creme brulee was not set well, may consider changing the brand of coffee coffee is a big part of desert these days. And if you're going to serve bread serve something nice very lackluster bread. Overall okay but for that caliber of a restaurant I would have expected a little bit more and some of the quality of some of the items little more upscale
Service staff in restaurant were not attentive and lacked poise. We had a group of 14 celebrating a retiree for a large entertainment company in the area. The initial ordering went well, but then the service dropped. Drinks weren't replenished quickly. We had to wave down a Waitstaff person when the wrong food or drink were served. My food came out with a large size of steak (I ordered the smaller one). They took it back to correct & manager came over & apologized. I even mentioned to the manager, why didn't you just leave the larger steak & just charge me for the smaller one - he said yes, that's what we should have done. My food did not return until everyone else had finished eating - almost 40 minutes later. The manager apologized again & said they would not charge me for my order, however, later I noticed on the very long receipt that I was charged. I think the staff needs better training for this caliber of a restaurant.
We asked for a table outside on reservation but we were seated inside. The restaurant was basically empty when we got there. Our servers kept changing. They forgot my mashed potatoes and good thing I checked the bill because my husband was just going to pay. They triple charged me for my meal. 3/25.00 instead of 1 at 25.00 which the server originally told me the crab claws would be 3 to 4 each and I told him I only wanted 4 that should have been 12 to 16 not 25 but whatever....
It was overpriced and the food was just so so. I had the seafood mixed grill and it was bland. It completely lacked flavor. We ordered the broccoli au gratin and neither my husband or I cared for it. Not sure what the spice was. It was a "nice" meal outside the park, but nothing to write home about.
