Shrimp were excellent , grouper was superb . Raw oysters were good not sure why you only get 5 not a half dozen. The wife had a pound of stone crab which were very good but at $ 50 bucks pretty high . Wine is also pretty expensive . Overall good food
The prices were hardly discussed, the specials were overpriced when I got the invoice. Fishbones is a much better restaurant for quality and value. The only positive was the waiter was very professional. It is extremely crowded and therefore extremely noisy; you could hear everyone else conversation except your own.
Perfect as usual. Recommend this to anyone. Service was great. Food great. Always enjoy Johnnies and highly recommend
Good food and great service. Great for both seafood and Steak.
We love this restaurant. Whenever we are in Orlando we try to visit. Have never had a bad meal. We usually share a steak and side's. Sometimes we will just stay at the bar and enjoy Happy hour. We might even stay at the bar and eat dinner.
The staff are also great.
GreatView and that was about all
Food not as described, service was poor
There were a total of 15 of us for a business dinner. Our food was good but service was very slow and people kept getting the wrong food brought out. We were there for FOUR HOURS!
This was my 5th visit to Johnny's and my first review. The ambience is outstanding there and very welcoming as usual. The seafood offered at Johnny's is second to none as the freshness
is obvious. Ive always made reservations ahead of time and never had to wait. On this trip, we
enjoyed the seafood tower and there was an abondance amount for sll to enjoy. Their lump crabmeat is my personal favorite and it was fabulous as always. We placed two orders of the 8oz
lobster tail (Carribbean spiny lobster) accompanied with two Madagascar shrimp. We also had
ordered the 24oz rib eye and the fishermans platter. Everything cooked to perfection. Finished the night off with a few snifters of Chivas 30 year old and a flamed Creme Brulee which was outstanding.
Looking forward to visiting Johnnies again as well as Charley's when Im in town. If you haven't been to either you don't know what you're missing!
This location is great for sea food, and the wines are great
We were very pleasantly surprised with our experience at Johnnie’s. After passing by and never stopping for almost 10 years, we received a gift card and finally stopped in. I’m so grateful for that gift card because this will now be a regular stop for date night!! Great service, EXCELLENT food, fun table, great cocktails, all around wonderful!
Good food, high end seafood choices appropriately priced. Prepared foods, escargot, gratins, steaks were good but not noteworthy. So few restaurants in the Orlando area focus on repeat business, this one included, $500 bill for table of 3, we sampled the menu well, good not great, not memorable. As Florida residents we can get stone crab, oysters and dry aged steak from a number of places all at the same price point, but with better taste, and experience.
We were celebrating our anniversary. Not acknowledged by anyone
8:00 pm reservations and was seated 20 min late. Service was as bad as I’ve ever experienced. Had to ask for everything from water to be initially poured to our wine, which was left uncorked by the waiter on our table, to be opened. Entrees not served until 1030. I got up twice to alert management. Each time I observed several employees in small group call conversation totally oblivious to my miserable dining experience. Also, all food was underwhelming at best. Good luck.
Food is average but expensive
Great for our large group celebrating my daughters birthday, although service did suffer a little from such a large group(20). Portobella truffle frites are the best. Prisoner, great wine!!
Food was amazing
Excellent restaurant- one of the best I have eaten at in Florida
Food and service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend
Over a span of 9 years and multiple business dinners Johnnie’s never disappoints. Food is phenomenal.
It would have been perfect but you ran out of two wines on your list, the first one you didn't have at all, and the second one you ran out of after one bottle. Complicated things a bit. Otherwise we really enjoyed the food. Our waitron, Hasnaa, was absolutely impeccable.
Try the bacon appetizer. Just sayin'. :-)
Great atmosphere and ambiance. Nice patio deck on a small lake thats great for cocktails or outdoor dinning. Food was great. From the shrimp cocktai and stone crab claw appatizers to the Filet, Pork Chops and the best Sea bass ever.
Service was spot on. Keep up the good work Johnny's!
Excellent - always a required stop while In Orlando!
Group of mid-western golfers enjoying the Florida weather and wanting great seafood, and we got it, thank you Johnnies!
The value for food quality was not good. We liked the atmosphere but they charged a $6 upgrade for a ceaser salad that was so smothered in dressing you could not eat it. The gator bites were ok and my husband was not happy with the grouper.
Can't really go wrong here, fish and pork is outrageous. Would return again soon
Nice place for dinner. I little noisy. Business casual for the most part. Great service at the table. Food was very good. We all had the fish entrees. The house salad is excellent. I would go there again.
Wonderful food, drinks (Happy Hour!), live music, friendly/efficient staff (Daniel P. the BEST!) w/ Floridian/Island atmosphere = 5 perfect ingredients for 5 star review!
Horrible food , very expensive. Not worth it at all. The manager was very rude as well. The only good thing was our waiter. Save your money -go somewhere else!!!!
Great place eat here often. The one complaint is they took my favorite item off the menu, the Stone Crab Bisque.
We had the best server. Everything about this restaurant is great! You feel like you’re at an island restaurant, yet it’s in the back of a strip shopping center. Highly recommend checking it out.
Two *older* adults having a quiet conversation over an evening meal did not merit as much attention from the young staff, as did the more boisterous younger customers, especially those who had multiple alcoholic beverages and appetizers.
Tommy was a great and entertaining very focused server. We will always ask for him and his suggestions.
Food was wonderful as always!
Johhny’s Hideaway is a favorite of ours. Romantic setting. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Always professional - going above and beyond! Food is presented beautifully and delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant! Our team of servers were knowledgeable of the menu, polite and very friendly. Paul was a sweet young man. I apologize that I can’t remember the name of the female server. Both were excellent!
We went there for the first time last year on a trip to Orlando and really enjoyed it. This year was different. The restaurant was very loud and the food was just fair to poor. The potatoes appeared to have been sitting under a heat light for a while. Felt more like a national chain.
I had been looking forward to trying this location for sometime. I travel a great deal, and I am fortunate to dine in great locations all around the country.
Charley’s is by far one of my favorites, and expected the same at Johnnie’s. The evening I was there, the food was marginal at best, and the service was about the same.
Johnnie, Johnnie, Johnnie.... you need to listen to my advice. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Our server was excellent and attentive. She's the star of the show, Aykeli. We ordered char grilled oysters with garlic and parm. They arrived very hot but the cheese was just too chewy. Probably need to experiment with a different blend and a creamy sauce(like New Orleans). My king steak was tender and cooked perfectly. A little seasoning would go a long way. The sea bass smelled a little fishy but my wife would never complain. It wasn't a thick piece like we are used to and the garnish was extra. Now for the easiest fix to the menu. The salad was terrible. It was like eating leftover salad from the day before. It was dressed too early and kept refrigerated thus soggy. Johnnie, just keep the lettuce dry and dress it with a spoonful of dressing just before serving. Not an inexpensive meal, so everything should be perfect.
We so much enjoyed our first experience at Johnnie's. Loved the bright atmosphere seated close to the window where we could enjoy the fountain in the lagoon. The service was excellent. Our waiter, Paul, was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the meals it serves. We will definitely go back!
Excellent steaks and service
Our server, Victor, was excellent.
