Great experience, fantastic view. Fillet was cooked
The view is great. The food was good, not amazing but overall we enjoyed ourselves
Wonderful experience from start to finish food was amazing and service was exceptional! They even went above and beyond for my anniversary and gave a complimentary dessert.
Great view, delicious food and the staff was so nice!
The best restaurant in New Haven. Great food and spectacular view.
Robin was great and the food was amazing. Every time I come I just want robin. They sung to my friend for her birthday and she loved it.
Average breakfast buffet food. Beautiful restaurant though.
Our server was great is Name was James great server keep up the great work
Great ambiance, food, and value. Friendly staff and attentive service. Recommended !
Everything was great! Our servers were fantastic. They were attentive without hovering. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better! If we were from the area it would definitely be our special occasion spot!
Delicious and delightful
It was my anniversary and I must say the service and view from the 19th floor was exceptional. We really enjoyed the evening & have already shared our experience with friends, recommending they check out the place if they have something to celebrate or just want a great meal.
Great restaurant and the view was beautiful. Great value for money and great service
Waiter was not knowledgeable about the food, my wife asked him about a dish and he didnt know how to describe(he said "you will know when you see it"(waiter was a tall young white man with long hair and different color/style socks). He also dint give us bread at the beginning, I had to ask a young pleasant lady(I think she was Hispanic) for bread. Her and the bus boy was the only ones that came to our table periodically to ask if everything was fine.
Carpet needs to be replace and vents need dusting. Very nice place with alot of potential but needs better service and bigger food portion especially appetizers.
Great food, friendly service, and amazing view. Good for a special occasion or just because.
A pleasant , quiet spot for conversation with a great view of the city, but the food was not great. Service was extremely nice. They would just need to upgrade the cuisine.
Wonderful experience.. superb food and excellent service.. highly recommended..
I was surprised by the relatively simple Baruch options in Father’s day, when compared to Easter or Mother’s day brunch.
The Sunday brunch had a variety of appetizers, pastries, breakfast and lunch items. However, they were all prepared early and were dried by 11:30 when we got to the food. Poor planning.
The mussels appetizer was excellent. Our steaks were over coked and the sides were blah. We skipped dessert. I don't plan to go back.
My girlfriend and I had a great experience and the food was amazing
We went to lunch to celebrate a graduation from Yale. The restaurant has a beautiful view. The food and service were excellent. We had salads and added proteins. It was healthy and simple. Everyone was very professional and helpful.
Great restaurant with gorgeous view of New Haven! You’re high above the city and can see Yale extremely well
Food was great and the service was outstanding
The view is absolutely stunning and the service is excellent! They sent me an email immediately when I forgot my credit card after payment
The food is good but nothing exceptional
Excellent way to celebrate graduation!!! Everything exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend.
I have a very pleasant lobster and pasta main course after a cup of clam chowder. Thee food was good but not exceptional. The service was friendly and efficient. The venue on the top floor of the hotel and overlooking the common was very pleasing.
WE LIKE OUR FOOD HOT WHEN WE GO TO BUFFET'S. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED CARMEN ANTHONY'S & MISS IT, SO WE TRIED BUT IT DIDN'T MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS. I ALSO DIDN'T CARE FOR THE SMALL CHAMPAGNE GLASS FOR MY MIMOSA TOO!
The food was excellent, and the views were phenomenal. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They were always around when we needed anything, but did not hover over the table.
We dined during New Haven restaurant week and the fixed price menu made it very affordable. I might have been less favorable to the regular menu prices. Waitstaff was attentive but not pushy. They let us take 3 hours for our meal which was perfect for our night out with friends. We live locally and were not staying at the hotel. Very enjoyable experience and great view.
Very nice restaurant, great views, friendly attentive staff, very good food. The rolls were fabulous! Got the roasted chicken and it was a little on the dry side. My husband got the spare ribs and they were fantastic. I would definitely go back and recommend to a friend.
The Sunday Brunch similar to the omnipresent Art of Breakfast theme among Omni hotels except quite a bit more expensive which would suggest extra offerings. At the cutting board just an extremely overcooked dry flank steak. Also shrimp on ice which was not replenished with an hour yet to go in the brunch slot. I did bring the empty hill of ice to the attention of the attendant who told me someone might be looking for more but that person had not succeeded by the time we were done. Really, you could do better with your $150 for four at brunch nearly anywhere in New Haven.
We arrived at 7:25 for a 730 reservation. The hostess explained that our table wasn’t ready yet and asked us if we wanted to go the bar to wait The Negroni was the worst I’ve ever had and my friendss cosmopolitan was adequate. We we shown to the table @ 8. It wasn’t until 830 when we reached out to the hostess that we got a menu. She apologized and sent the waiter who was very apologetic and assured us that he was going to make ever effort to make it right. The food was very good and as a good well gesture they did not charge for the bottle of wine . I can’t be sure I’d return
Lovely restaurant with attentive and friendly service. The brie appetizer was especially delicious. The view of the city adds to the ambience. Very accommodating staff.
Menu has been revised. Some may prefer the new menu, but I preferred the older items (then again, I am NOT a foodie).
Can't beat the view.
I proposed to my girlfriend here, and it went fantastically! The hostess, Lauren, did a wonderful job communicating with me before hand. She walked around with me as I figured out where I would propose, where the photographer could hang out before we got there, and since there was a lot of availability that night, I got to have the table I wanted after the proposal. The server, Monica, was wonderful as well, and both my fiance and myself had a wonderful, memorable evening.
Excellent service and the food was prefect- we will return
Excellent overall. This was our first time at John Davenports and it exceeded our expectations. We liked everything about the restaurant and the food was fantastic through all five courses. We will be coming back in the near future.
Good quality food, cage free eggs, meats, etc. and a great staff. Parking in garage is validated.
Delicious chocolate cake!!!
JD was decorated do beautifully for Christmas Eve. Service was wonderful! All our entrees were fabulous. Our waitress, Robin, was very attentive & friendly! We enjoyed our family holiday dinner overlooking the city!
