Thanksgiving Dinner Special Menus & Offers
We are offering a 3 Course prix fixe menu which is $75/Adults and $38/children 12 and under. Due to limited seating because of Covid-19 restrictions, reservations are required and we will be using all outside areas and canopies. We are unable to reserve specific tables. Thank you.
Food was pretty good; setting on their patio was nice right next to the vineyard.
Service left a LOT to be desired. Had to ask for water refills more than once, which is a definite no go when you are paying these prices. Someone OUGHT to come by and check on you periodically. And maybe SOMEONE ought to come by and offer to refill the water occasionally.
Lots of great food AND service available in wine country at this price point, so I do not think we will be returning here.
We had a wonderful time at John Ash! The ambiance on the back patio/garden was perfect. The staff was warm and welcoming, even with stringent COVID protocols in place. We order primarily off of the bar menu and shared the dished. The Burrata, Lamb Meatballs, and Salmon terrines were excellent, but the home made Tater Tot's were the show stopped. They were outstanding and a perfect blend of creativeness and comfort food. We finished with the Pear Cake which was also outstanding. Overall an incredible experience, well done John Ash!
Group get together, fabulous setting outside & attentive staff. Appetizers amazing! However a large # of guests arrived in the midst of our dinner. This resulted in a pile up of plates & glasses & empty water glasses. We are in new y uncharted waters & grateful for the opportunity to dine here. Many thanks-
The garden seating was lovely! They’ve created a pretty ambience via the individual canopies and the twinkle lights. Every dish was delicious!! The wine pairings were perfect and the service was absolutely wonderful!! Happy 40th Anniversary John Ash! We’ve enjoyed this lovely restaurant for MANY celebrations over the years and you’ve outdone yourself on this one! Cheers!
The food choices. Are always plentiful. Many times they are seasonal. The portions are great to share for two. The choices of Happy Hour wines are always nice.
Outside seating during Covid. Absolutely stunning, beautiful night and great food. Going again next week.
Have loved this place for the food at a wedding and Mothers Day. This was very disappointing. Beginning salad was like a mediocre home chef with lettuce that had some brown and my wife's pear was brown on the meat side. Had a simple single piece of cheese. The Beef Wellington was cooked very nicely, medium rare, but it came with carrots that created a plate that was all the same color and not interesting or particularly flavorful.
As always, John Ash delivers on food and service! We had short ribs, Wiener schnitzel and chef’s menu with Beef Wellington. Everyone hung was awesome!
The setting, outdoors and on their covered porch, is perfect for Covid-era dining. Service was great and the food was delicious.
Fantastic three course meal with great wine pairings. Beautiful outdoor area with socially distanced tables and great service. We had a very enjoyable evening!
Super nice outside area, great food and drinks. Service always spot on. I hope after Covid19, they continue to offer Happy Hour outside on nice days.
Great setting..... Mediocre food. Good service.....
Everything from beginning to end was perfect! The waiter was wonderful and the food was amazing. This was our first time at the restaurant but we will definitely be back . Highly recommend!
This a beautiful restaurant with lots of lovely outdoor seating in wine country. The food was good, well prepared and interesting, but all of it was way to salty. Drinks and wine were great. We came early and the service was slow long before they filled up. By the time we were done with our meal we waited at least half an hour, on top of the time we spent eating without anyone checking in with us and asking about desert or letting us ask for a check. Clearly they’re understaffed. Finally we left money on the table and left with no check, and no dessert. Too bad because I’d like to sit there again, but not eat too salty food and spend so much waiting for service.
3:30 pm dining with roses and grapevines every where, very beautiful! Ordered too much food our favorite was the vegan cauliflower dish and the crazy good homemade tater tots. All the dishes we ordered were good! The dessert which was a pear cake with ice cream was so good it was dream worthy! I haven’t been here for quite a while because of covid and other circumstances but I’m coming back soon! The service was outstanding and sitting there with a glass of sparkling wine I felt like all was good with the world at that moment! Thank you for the experience!!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at 6:30. We were seated on time. Our table was outside, which was perfect. The weather was amazingly fabulous for mid-October. Service (Eric) was great! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Great wait staff and food and drink were excellent!!
I have felt that the food is not as good as it used to be.
The servixe was excellent.
Lovely setting on the lawn for Happy Hour. Fish tacos are fabulous!
It ws an Awesome experience.Food was excellent, Food Server Josh was Fantastic. Answered all the questions and prompt delivery of food.
Ambiance was to die for.
Amazing food the chef was incredible and the atmosphere spectacular, love all of the firepits and lights
Best cocktails anywhere bar none
Menu is always solid
I met a friend at The Front Room for Happy Hour. I learned a few weeks ago that COVID restrictions allow you to make a reservation these days-- no more dropping in and hoping for a table-- which I love!
The seating is all outdoors in a lawn area behind the restaurant that is gorgeous! I love to see them using this space!! Surrounded by vineyards, and with table spaced at least 6-feet apart, we felt very safe, yet very normal.
My friend and I each had a glass of Champagne and an order of Truffle Fries, and it was perfect. The service was excellent, and we noticed their staff would thoroughly clean and sanitize each table as it was turned.
This is a perfect spot to enjoy a wine country dining experience. Just be sure to plan ahead a little and make a reservation.
I felt so taken care of and safe eating at John Ash & Co. They have done an outstanding job of taking the right COVID precautions without losing any of the charm of the experience.
The view was great, the food was okay, and the service was okay. A bit overpriced for the food you get and we had to ask for refills on our drinks, they seemed a bit understaffed.
Great Happy Hour - happens EVERY day from 3-5. Reservations recommended especially on Friday and Saturday. Good food and drink choices. They were a little understaffed when we arrived at 3, but service improved later. Great outdoor setting with social distancing measures in place.
Wonderful experience. Lovely table overlooking the vineyards. Safe and excellent service! Divine dishes. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so special.
What can we say....best spot ever! Always a pleasure to come to this gem. Never disappointing in any area. This special place is warm, welcoming -- first class in every sense of the word. The food and service is spectacular. There are so many choices on the menu it is hard to decide. We are so lucky to have John Ash & Co. in our area.
Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting! We have been here several times and the experience is always outstanding! Looking forward to returning to John Ash!
Birthday celebration was a hit with family!
Dinner was absolutely delicious! We had been wanting to go to John Ash for quite sometime so glad we finally went. Hope to be back very soon.
Outstanding outdoor dining experience. Everything was done right. Very good with appropriate health protocols. Food was delicious. Service efficient and safe.
It was a hot day with fires nearby. Lots of ash and smoke. Because of Covid we had to sit outside.
The grounds are beautiful. Regardless of the circumstances, the staff, food and hospitality made our experience very special. Love this place.
Food was good but I wouldn’t say it was good value for the price. Kale salad was best I ever had but main dish of brick chicken was average. Maybe our circumstances of evacuating the wildfires skewed our taste buds. Gorgeous restaurant!
The outdoor terrace was great as was the waiter .
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Great anniversary dinner!!
the staff great, and the food was amazing. overall experience was a 10.
One of my favorite happy hour locations. Great food and drink, reasonably priced, and a beautiful setting.
We were socially distanced outside, lovely ambience, food and wine excellent, as always!!!
