We dined three nights straight.... staff is delightful ... food wonderful.... thank you

The wine list includes a great Kosta Browne chardonnay. The cosmos are perfect.
The chicken under a brick and the short ribs were both excellent; well seasoned, moist, tender, delicious. We have already made reservations to dine there again in two weeks.

We love coming here and will be back. From the drinks to dessert, everything was delicious, thoughtfully prepared and expertly executed

Definitely the John Ash of old times, but mostly due to Covid. Some of the little niceties have been eliminated.

The food was good and the service was a little slow. The restaurant has a large space that qualifies for outdoor dining. Plus there is tent adjacent to the patio for additional diners. Tables are at least 6 feet apart. This patio is really a large room with a ceiling and windows that can be opened to qualify for Covid outdoor dining. We were there on a Thursday night and almost every table was being used. A party of 6 people were seated at least six feet from us. They happened to know the party of four seated next to them. So this party of ten were talking very loud and laughing boisterously. For my wife and myself, we felt this was a high risk area for Covid droplets. I shared our concerns with our waiter and he talked to manager. All they could do is offer us a table in the tent annex. We politely said thank you and asked them box up our entrees. They took cocktail charges off our bill. We paid the check and tipped the waiter 25%. We love their food and drinks, but we will not be returning until we are vaccinated.

We were on a 2 night get away in Healdburg and had dinner at John Ash one of the nights. What a nice surprise!! A beautiful restaurant! So many areas to eat and enjoy. I can’t wait for indoor dining so I can experience that also. Sitting out on the patio looking at the vineyards staying warm by a heater enjoying delicious cocktails and food was awesome!! A perfect addition to our trip.

This is our go to restaurant that is always exceptional and excellent! Amazing fine dining, service, ambiance, and all of our special celebrations. The vineyard scenery and outdoor patio seating is gorgeous! Highly recommend this restaurant. Beautiful grounds!

We thoroughly enjoyed our date night out at John Ash & Co. Their Parker House rolls were absolutely delicious, so make sure you add an order of those to whatever else you decide to have as an appetizer or with your meal. The brick chicken and wiener schnitzel were also excellent. We finished the evening off with the gelato trio. The server was attentive all the way through the meal and the ambiance was perfect for the first time we've really been able to dine out in almost a year.

Pleasant experience! Service is 5+, our server Alan is the best! It was our anniversary and he made it special.

Another great dining experience with J.A. Had to east in the patio (per regs) but heaters kept it fairly comfortable. Had our favorite waiter as we requested.

We had the Sonoma Onion soup made entirely with local ingredients and the wiener schnitzel, both great choices. The service was attentive and courteous, the food well prepared and favorful

So happy John Ash & Co. is open....and, boy, they have really thought of us customers....more heaters, an amazing new bar tent, even with chandeliers, and lots of fun fire pits for more heat and ambiance! As usual, yummy food and great friendly service. Heading back this week! Kudos to the entire staff......you rock!

Lovely dining experience for our last date night in a while due to lockdown ordinances now in place. Our server, Katie was a sheer delight and extremely attentive. The cocktails were on point and our meals were impeccable— so tasty and beautifully plated. Looking forward to when we can return!

Wonderful birthday dinner for my daughter. Even with COVID restrictions the experience was amazing. Service was spot on the food superior. We were fortunate to have made it in the last night before the shut down and so glad it worked out.

The restaurant was beautiful! The outside patio and pergola was also very nice and romantic. The food was excellent but very small
Portions.. I did not realize I would be getting 3 scallops for $40 and no side . The food was great no complaints other then portions

Birthday happy hour

I highly recommend John Ash for special occasions or just a quick bite. We were seated next to an outdoor fire and well separated from the few other diners.

We were also there on the next to last day before the COVID-19 county order to close restaurants again. This is such a hard time for all of us, but especially those losing jobs right now. Support your local restaurants as much as you can!

Short rib presentation was very good and meat was tender and delicious. Chicken cordon blu was a back to the future dish and also excellent. Tried to make the best of the covid restrictions, but open window next to food cooled things down pretty rapidly. Not their fault.

We always go to John Ash for Happy Hour, unfortunately, this time the service was a little off.

Not impressed with the food--very expensive for very little with no vegetables. Everything is a separate cost, even bread and salad! So $80 for the two of us for just a plate with a tiny portion of meat and some carbs. My chicken was dry and the Spätzle unimpressive--mine are better! We had a gift card, but I would not recommend this otherwise.

Wonderful! Making the best of outdoor dining in the cold winter months during Covid. Food and drink is always great but tonight the server was exceptional! Thank you!
