Joey's Italian Cafe
The service was terrific. Great servers who were polite, caring and knowledgeable. The Caesar salad was very basic and came undressed. It was easier to use oil and vinegar than ask.... the Joey pizza was average. I asked for it to be done crispy, he said it would be, it wasn’t. We all were full after that and never ordered the pasta and branzino we were considering. Best part is the location of the restaurant. Right in the middle of Wynwood activity.
We come a few times a year. Food and ambiance always good. My wife ordered the clams this time and it seemed that the pasta was cooked separately from clams and lacked any kind of flavor. Pasta was cooked perfectly but lacked any taste. Some of her clams were unopened ( must have been a new person in kitchen. My dish was fine.
Serveuse frustrée que l’on prenne notre temps à commander. La nourriture était bonne mais pas impressionnant.
Kind, attentive service and tasty food. We’ll definitely be back.
I will come back, the terrace in winter is a really nice.
Lousy Italian food
It’s a great place to have lunch and then walk for the wynwood walls. The food is very good and well served. The waitress Alex taked care of our table very well. If you are going during winter, choose a table outside. Overall, it’s a great restaurant!
Great evening sat us right away. Food and service were excellent. Will return again.
One entre came long time after others without explanation. We asked after dining and was- told it was burnt and had to be recooked. We should have been comp'ed. This was the second time dining there.
We had a nice evening with friends from out of town after seeing Wynnwood Walls.
Consistently great food. Not sure how this place isn't overrun with people all day long. Go before everyone realizes it's there.
Everything I've had on the menu is delicious.
I am a Miami native and have been going to Joey's since it opened and I was afraid to park my car in the neighborhood, that's how good the food is. Now you need to valet to even get a parking space. There are a lot of very upscale restaurants in the neighborhood but none as down to earth, with exceptional and great service as Joey's
We arrived at Joey’s 15 minutes early and they still sat us down right away. Our server was prompt and helpful with a child seat for our two year old daughter. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend Joey’s and will be returning again.
Food was alright, would not recommend right off the back. Meatballs were over grinned causing an off putting and weird texture. The octopus as well was over charred causing a burnt grill taste and other pieces were soft and rubbery. Nothing came out hot just warm enough or cold for some bites. The prices don’t match the quality or quantity.
This was my second time dining at Joeys and I was left with a sour taste in my mouth. The meatballs were a bit on the hard side, the gnocchi was ok, and the seafood pasta was a bit bland. We also ordered the calamari and it was a bit tasteless. After dinner, I had massive heartburn for two days. Not sure why this was the case, but I hope next time joeys gets it together. The Bartolo was the highlight of my dinner.
Rocky is the best
Poor service, waited 40 minutes to get our drinks served, over an hour to get the food served. The soup came cold, the service was really underrated. The food was just ok, nothing special either.
We've been wanting to try this place for a long time! Our reservation was for Sunday at 4:15, pre-theater. Even though the place was jammed, we were seated promptly at a lovely table by the window. Our waiter announced that he was "coming down with something" which concerned us a bit. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer, which was fabulous! Seasoned and cooked just right and a beautiful presentation. 2 glasses of Chianti were delicious and tasted like a fresh bottle. Entrees, chicken picatta and salmon were perfectly cooked and presented nicely. The spinach was a little salty but delicious. Our waiter, it seems, dropped the ball due to his not feeling well, but another server jumped in and helped. If not for the spotty service, this review would have been 5 stars!
Unfortunately this time around our experience at Joey’s wasn’t that great at all. The server kept forgetting our order, never came around to ask us if we wanted more cocktails and on top of forgetting an entree until everyone was practically done waiting she charged us for it. It was really awkward and uncomfortable. I understand that people may have a hard time in their personal life but work is work. You don’t talk to your customers about it.
Other than that we were a large group of 8 and they accommodated us outside in the patio.
Maybe we’ll have better luck next time.
Great date night spot in wynwood. Lots of art all up down the streers
Excellent branzino for dinner. Loved sitting outside.
Nice experience. Will be back.
Great food in great surroundings. Service is good but a little erratic.
Held table for extra 20 min while we looked for parking, thanks guys!
Table wasn’t ready when told to be seated. Tried to sit party at two separate tables then was ultimately seated at table that didn’t fit party completely is cramped area.
Great food, great atmosphere and incredible service. Their outdoor patio is covered, it was great to dine outside even in the heavy rain.
Joey's is a great spot if you want great food, great service and chill vibes. Highly recommended!
If u want to be in the heart of Happening Wynwod, together with good food, well presented and excellent service, then Joey's is for you.
Best Italian restaurant in Wynwood! Pasta is amazing. Pizza is too good for words 🤤🤤🤤
Went there on a sat night. Almost packed. Outside seating n bar. Some dishes are shareable. Service is relaxed but not bad.
Chicken was good. Other dishes were ok too.
Everything was delicious - especially loved the pesto pizza + ragu pasta.
Been dining here for years. Pizza is excellent. Always great service. It’s worth the drive from Sobe to Wynwood
Was so excited to try Joey’s finally! Unfortunately, the service was poor. Took forever for someone to wait on us and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Food was average, but nothing spectacular. Pretty disappointed. We tipped very well anyway, but won’t be returning.
Highly recommended to us so we had high expectations but we were disappointed. They were out of my first and second choice for dinner so I settled for pizza. They did not have the first wine I selected, so my second choice was a sommelier selection that did not deliver to the the description given by the sommelier on the menu. I had to ask to see the bottle the wine was served from because it truly did not match what I was served. The server wanted to help with my third choice but other than his good intentions it was clear he did not have the knowledge to help with my third choice and no one else from the staff or management seemed to care. Most of the staff were gathered around the front and bar area chatting and giving each other shoulder massages. In all fairness pizza was good Miami Spice Menu was ok. Still need to give a second chance and try the Vegan options.
Pizza & salad was very. good but the eggplant was raw . Ravi Loki was ok
Overall good place for pizza
Dinner at Joey's last Saturday was outstanding. Our best Miami Spice experience so far.
Great food and friendly staff. Our only issue was that it took the food a very long time to come out of the kitchen. it’s a small restaurant and didn’t seem to be very busy.
great place. more casual than we thought, but still and excellent and fun choice.
already recommended this. Next time I'll eat outside. The Wynwood atmosphere even on a Wednesday night was vibrant!
