Not our first visit and each time has been exceptional. Service and food is always above average. This time we had seven adults celebrating three birthdays. We did not expect to get a free dessert for the birthday people, but they did provide them which was very nice.
The only negative, and it may not be the restaurant’s fault, but having only one handicap parking spot is less than adequate.
This was a wonderful experience,
My first time here; celebrating a 14 year anniversary.
The food was of course was just delicious.
Our server was great!!!!
Out with friends to celebrate some birthdays. Food was great, but the service was better.
Great service and food.
Anniversary dinner.... special event to try the Norman steak... it was okay, but not worth the price. Bone in rib eye was delicious!! Sides, warm bread and dessert was good. Old-Fashion by Scott was perfect!!! Kim was excellent waitress!!!! Enjoyed the evening...would recommend location!!!
Fantastic food and service. Matthew was a great server.
The food and the service is always top rate. The bar however .... I would expect an outstanding Brandy Old Fashion given the supper club theme. Not so much, which was disappointing. And the last two times we've been there, the bartender was either complaining in detail about some personal issue or, in this recent case, eating Pringles between fetching drinks. Really? Everyone on the staff sets the tone for the experience. Luckily, our server Kim (w/short dark hair), made the evening enjoyable.
Went to Joey Gerard's for a family member's birthday and as always had a wonderful experience. The food was great, the wait-staff was very attentive, and we had another great time there. Will return again soon for sure!
I was exciting to be going to Joey Gerard's since I had never been there before. We were celebrating my son's 18th birthday. It was my son, my wife, my dad and myself. 3 of us ordered the bone in ribeye. At $42.95 I was expecting a great steak. What I received was something I would expect at a buffet. I ordered it medium-rare as well as my son. My wife ordered her's medium. Our 2 medium rare steaks were over cooked to medium and dry without any steak juices coming out of the steaks when they were cut into as well as my wife's medium steak. What a huge disappointment. They steaks were barely charred too. My wife insisted that I do not complain about them to the waitress because of my son's birthday. I will never be back. I have been to Mr. B's, Eddie Martini's and other fine steak houses in the area.
As usual a wonderful experience. Food was not at the quality level that it usually is. Not bad but not great.
Joey's is a true gem. You don't have to travel far to experience the supper club feel. Amazing steaks, but the service is extraordinary! Will request Matthew the next time we dine there.
Popovers were fun, onion soup was a winner, salad entree and dessert only ok
There are better places to go
Celebrating our son & future daughter-in-law's engagement. We all loved it everything was wonderful, food and service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend it and will go back for sure.
We had a wonderful meal, very good service and a nice atmosphere. This was our 3rd visit. We will return, next time with friends. Our bartender mixed a fantastic Manhattan. (It's the Vermouth per Scott) Not to mention the Woodford Rye.
A great 'goldilocks' restaurant in my opinion - not too expensive, certainly not cheap, allowing food and preparations to be of high quality. Great variety in the menu, they'll have something for everyone in your group on the menu. This was our second time here and it was just as good the second time as the first.
Also really enjoy the Badger (appetizer variety platter served on a lazy susan) and that JG's puts the steak preparations (ie, brandy and peppercorn sauce) on the side, so you can add as much or as little as you'd like.
We'll be back, just wish there was one closer to us in Tosa.
Food was very good and service was excellent! We will definitely return.
We have been here several times it’s always wonderful
Very nice staff
We liked that the tables were not tight in top of one another
Food was fantastic as always and Matt our service was the best!
Have eaten here many times. Food is always top quality and service is wonderful. It can get a bit noisy at times, and it is sometimes hard to hear the wait staff explain the specials for the day.
Very pleasant restaurant with good, basic dishes competently prepared. Service was very nice and friendly.
Great food and service. Only complaint is the prime rib meat cut needs to be improved. Other Prime Ribs at restaurants with same basic pricing tend to be better - easier to cut through the meat. My husband loves the tenderloin and cauliflower with bread crumbs.
Had dinner with party of 6 for a special birthday Saturday Night. Service was terribly slow, one person in our party waited over 15 minutes for a drink, had to finally call waitress over and she said "well, I'm sorry but the bar is really busy". Hmmm, your a supper club and that response is really not an acceptable one. Dinner came after waiting for quite some time, only 4 of us got our meals, the other 2 in or party got their meals 8 minutes after that. Told waitress I was very disappointed and we really wanted to eat together. Food varied from mediocre to not good. We asked the waitress how many ounces the twin lobster tails were and she said "I really have no idea"??? This is a menu item and you have no idea?? Ordered (2) large table salads, had to ask waitress to bring us salad plates, then she brought a thimble of dressing and had to ask her to bring more because she only brought enough for 1?? That took about 10 minutes to get and they brought it in bowls with no spoon so we kinda poured it on as best we could. New York Strip was pretty good, side lobster tail was pretty decent. 2 had Rib Eye steaks that they were not impressed with them, dry and not very flavorable. Overcooked on both. Scallops weren't bad, just ok. Filet was just OK, pretty dry- probably why you can get a sauce on the side. Prime Rib was tough and not good- person in our party took about 3 bites and didn't take the rest home. So, the experience was not a good one and I won't go back. Paying $500.00 for this dining experience leaves a bad taste in one's mouth.
Ashley was tremendous with her attentiveness and willingness to offer suggestions. Very enjoyable birthday meal
outstanding service, but $$$$$$$ a bit out of touch for the price.
The overall experience was wonderful! Our waitress was very nice and very attentive to our needs. My steak was delicious and the presentation of my meal looked so good I had to take a picture before I ate!
The service in this restaurant was excellent. The food was very good. The noise level was terrible. The waitstaff has to shout to be heard.
Due to a busy schedule my wife and I couldn’t go out for vday until a week and a half later but boy was it worth the wait! Our meal at Joey’s was a top ten best meal I’ve ever had, yes ever. Thank you for the great food and service! We will be back!
The staff went above and beyond! After I had casually asked our server if there was any way to look up our past orders for a particular wine we had enjoyed, I received an email the next day with the name of the wine. Food is always great and service outstanding.
A great supper club atmosphere. Wonderful cocktails, food, and atmosphere.
Great time. Service was top notch. Ask for Kat, she did a great job taking care of us.
Very disappointed - we had reservations & were denied a booth when there were empty ones around almost until we left. One of our drinks was a Marguerita and it tasted funky, as if requested Tequilla wasn't used. The prices were quite above what we had perused online - definitely not a good value for the price. Our server was fantastic however and took great care to make us comfortable.
We were seated a few minutes before our reservation time. Table service was excellent and the food was wonderful
Ashley, our server was amazing. She took the time to cover the specials as well as recommend some of her favorites after telling her it was our first time there. Had the Valentine's special 14oz. manhattan strip and my girlfriend had the sirloin with grilled shrimp. Easily some of the best steaks we have ever had, Amazing crust on the outside and perfectly cooked through. Roasted Brussel sprouts and French onion soup were also a treat. Finally after Ashley suggested the Red velvet cake for dessert we were hooked, Easily became one of our favorite places and we will definitely be returning
Food was good but service from our waitress was excellent. She was very personable and helpful in choosing our meal. Thanks Kim
Excellent Valentine’s Day dinner with the family!
A wonderful Valentine dinner with my husband!!! Loved the supper-club relish tray to start the meal. The rib eye and filet were both tender and tasty, and the sides did not disappoint. Will definitely return.
Valentines evening, 7:00pm and we were surrounded by tables with young kids. Two of the three were well behaved. The third, however had a SCREAMING brat and a mom that loudly shushed the kid but didn't bother taking it out of the restaurant. Not the restaurant's fault and the manager apologized to most of the other diners. If your kid can't behave don't take them to an upscale restaurant. The food was usual Joey's although I think the lobsters were smaller than usual. I like this restaurant a lot. Just don't bring your screaming kid.
Despite being Valentines Day and quite busy; the service was very good. Did not feel rushed out. The salmon was excellent
The menu offers good variety and I'm certain it's all good, but as someone once said to me about another restaurant "it's a steak place - have the steak." And you'll get several steak options that are all equally wonderful. It's a sweet little supper club, in the heart of the metro.
