1st time in DC!!! Warren was an outstanding server!
This was our first time and couldn’t have not imagined how delightful an experience we would have. Warren was outstanding and his level of attention to detail made for a memorable first time. We will definitely be back to experience the variety in the menu.
Amazing law school graduation dinner
My family was there to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Georgetown and it was well worth the drive away from campus. The portions were enough to feed a small village, but every bite was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed Ahi Tuna, Filet Mignon, Rib Eye, Filet and Tail, and the Halibut special. My daughter received a celebration dessert and the rest of us ordered slices of pie that were substantial as well. We left satisfied and satiated. I wish there was a Joe’s where my other daughter is in college.
Absolutely phenomenal restaurant - our server was fantastic and personable. The food (seafood, steak) was delicious. The key lime pie was phenomenal!
Excellent!! Food was amazing as well as service and ambiance!
Have eaten at Joe’s in Chicago several times but Joe’s DC gave them a run for their money! Food was excellent and the service was to notch. Will go back to Joe’s next time I’m in DC!
Excellent, old-fashioned steakhouse atmosphere. My bone-in ribeye was very tasty. My wife’s roasted chicken was excellent. The chocolate pie was super rich.
This was my second visit to Joe's and it didn't disappoint. Both the service and the food were incredible. We were a family of 5 including a 2 year old and all the servers were so good to my toddler. I had the filer oscar and the combination of steak and crab was wonderful
Everything was perfect! Can’t wait to return!
We booked and we’re seated immediately at a booth table. Service was excellent although a little pretentious. Food was amazing. Expensive but you do get what you pay for. Great ambience.
Patrick our waiter was excellent as was the food. Recommend both
Everything was great until I was half way thru my seafood pasta and noticed the lobster was raw. They did offer to bring me a new one but at that point I was full from the other seafood in the pasta. They did take it off our bill but it did leave me unsatisfied that they would send out raw lobster. I unfortunately had a very large bite of the lobster before I discovered it.
I took my mom for Mother’s Day. The food was great. The only thing was that it took a little longer than we’d like for the food to come out. It was as expensive as I thought either.
Excellent service! The food was great. Our waiter was wonderful. He explained the menu and took good care of us. I'll definitely bring my friends and family next time.
Wonderful dining experience. The food was great. The service was great. Joe's will be added to my list of favorites.
Absolutely fabulous Mother’s Day lunch. Server Chris was very attentive and made sure everything was fabulous. A good time was had by all !!!!!
Busy Saturday night and we were a party of 5.
The waitress was experienced and provided good service. Through no fault of hers the whole meal was rushed. The appetizers arrived pretty quickly and I guess that was okay. However, we did not get a chance to finish the appetizers and the entrees arrived. By the time we were ready to order dessert I had to ask the waitress to hold off a bit before bringing it so we would have a chance to digest the meal. The desert was very good their pies are very large tasty and filling. I wish I could say the same about my appetizer which was Oysters Rockefeller it was probably the worst I've ever had. Most of us ordered their rather pricey Filets which looked nice but were tasteless.
Sorry to say we were disappointed.
Expected better food. Take away classic food factory restaurant big portions short on flavor. Finally on a positive note very good desserts asparagus cooked perfectly as were the broccolini.
Maybe they were just having a bad night with fillets and oysters Rockefeller.
We were seated promptly despite being a little late for our reservation. Our waiter Jim was terrific providing both good advice and excellent service. Our entire dinner from appetizers to desert was excellent. We will definitely return.
This is one of my special occasion restaurants. First time I have been disappointed with the service.
It was busy 5:30 reservation and were seated right away. Waiter arrived shortly, and slow service started after drinks were brought. One person ordered a mojito which arrived without any mint and was not well made, drinks not water were left consistently empty for long periods. The lamb dish ordered medium came out rare and was returned- good on second pass, took awhile for waiter to ask if all was ok. Had to request more bread and never came back to ask if we wanted wine refreshed. Understand they got very busy with preMothers day celebrants and we were in no hurry, but other wait staff around us were better paced.
Food was as always very good, and liked by our guests
Excellent food, atmosphere, service and accommodations. I will definitely return.
Delicious food, excellent service, beautiful restaurant
The stone crab was super expensive and honestly wasn’t very good, previously frozen and mushy. Waiter was inattentive. He forgot to bring one of my colleague’s food items and brought her side after we got the check. Fail.
$33 for 1 stone crab claw...insane. Not sure that is of value...
Great food great service fantastic evening!!! The seafood and steaks were fantastic and the service was excellent !!!
Fanastic food, service and atmosphere. The best in DC!
Joe’s Seafood and Prime Steak has been very consistent in everything from valet parking, host, service, drinks and food. This is my fifth time to celebrate something at Joe’s and they have done a wonderful job each time and has been very consistent.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants the nice service and quality food.
Service was spotty at one our two tables
We were in DC for a week, celebrating our Anniversary -- absolutely the best restaurant! If I could rate Service above a 5 - I would. The food, also, phenomenal. Atmosphere, exceptional. Really, we would have gone again if we had more time - it was that good!
Excellent food and service with great appetizers and main courses along with fabolous drinks and wines.
We’ll be back for sure!
Great waiter (Lady), excellent service and attitude of the Staff. The food was good, but not great. Crab claws seemed frozen. Steak was good. Expensive. Wine list was limited and way overpriced. $17 Chianti for $75. Seems a bit stiff. Upbeat environment. God for business dinners
We had Steak and lobster the lobster was cold as we’re the side order of fries the ambience was far too noisy overall not a good experience cost compared to quality was poor
Great food; great ambience. I arrived a few minutes early and was seated immediately.
That’s a fantastic dinner for us to celebrating our group’s birthday the 24oz is perfect on cooking & the crab cakes are the best we have ever taste! We are international travelers & this is the best restaurant we visit during or stay at Washington.
Food and service 1st class!
We were disappointed to say the least. We’ve been going to joes for a while now and I’m not sure if we will ever come back. Our waiter was completely rude from the start. This was shocking because every time we’ve come to joes we have the best service ever! He was absolutely terrible at refilling all of our waters - we would have to ask him and even than he would forget. Which is unacceptable behavior to be working at Joes. My steak was cooked wrong as well - clearly he did not listen to me. He also forgot to give me the seasoning that goes with the filet and i asked him to bring me some. Again clearly did not listen to me and brought me out A1 sauce and i had to ask him again for the seasoning which all took so long my steak was cold now. We asked him 3 times for more bread as well and we never received any. It was our friends birthday so he brought out a dessert - set it on the table and didn’t say anything. He didn’t give us any silver ware to eat it! One of our friends had to grab a fork from another table so he could eat it. What was even more sad is most of the time he was just standing around, looking as if he was doing nothing. He was rude when ever we asked for something. When I asked for the steak seasoning he cut me off before I could finish and said not right now hold on. Then he came back after 7 minutes if standing around to ask what i needed and proceeded to bring me the wrong thing. It was our friends first time at Joe’s and my husband and i have always talked so highly of this place. It’s embarrassing that this was their first and most likely last experience. Joe’s should be ashamed and embarrassed of how we were treated and the staff that was serving us.
All our meals were cooked to perfection. I have been looking for a superb seafood restaurant and have finally found it. Quite pricey but you get what you pay for. Now I can’t wait for my anniversary so my husband can see what all my rave is about.
Exceptional table service for a brunch date. The seafood was fantastic and served steamed and very hot (king crab legs). Also Joe’s cole slaw was a special treat prepared tableside.
Everything was wonderful.
We really enjoyed the level of service at this resturaunt. The food and waiters were absolutley amazing and made our experience phenomenal. Expect to spend $$$ but it is well worth the price.
