Fresh stone crabs are found in the coastal waters of Florida. They are hand harvested, one claw at a time, and thrown back to the sea. Joe Weiss, and his wife Jennie, discovered this unknown delicacy in the early 1920s, and soon after, began serving them at their restaurant in Miami Beach. This was our first visit and it was amazing! The atmosphere, the service, and the food was so fresh and delicious. We ordered way too much to eat before a matinee play. But when we’re downtown again, there’s only one place we’re going. #HappyEating

We celebrated all 3 of our birthdays and Joe’s did not disappoint. The service and food were all above and beyond. Truly a wonderful meal! I will certainly be back soon! My parents live in AZ.

We spent a week in Washington trying out a number of restaurants during our stay. We were so impressed with them that we ended going there twice for dinner. Both times were great. Lovely ambiance and great food served by professional and friendly staff. An overall great experience.
